  1. Past hour
  2. If you're a total know it all then sure you can believe that. I recall folk here disliking Transformers One till they actually saw and enjoyed it.
  3. Blech, no to low standards.
  4. Today
  5. I'll probably watch it purely for the animation style. The art is gorgeous. Some old school elements hidden there:
  6. Exactly my experience. Gravity holds it down, so it poses and displays fine, but it doesn't lock in place at all. Exactly my experience as well. I tried sandwiching a toothpick between the hand and the shield around the grip to provide leverage, but the tabs on the grip still wouldn't fit securely into the slots in the palms. These are among the best Transformers X-Transbots has released, but... they're still X-Transbots.
  7. Yes...good luck to your TZ request, I have requested a replacement (not Macross-related item) from them before, never receive it after their first response. The quality of their products is a hit/miss, I am not buying anything from them anymore due to their poor customer service and frequent QC issues (mostly paint defects). The warranty card that comes with their products is redundant.
  8. He seems to feel a pathological need to "connect his characters to legacy characters" in order to somehow boost their authenticity/ credibility. Like they aren't "Star Wars" officially unless a legacy character is somehow attached to them.
  9. At this point I'm just waiting for Bandai's separate lines to duke it out, and watch with popcorn as they put out a typical Mini-Yamato release for an HMR VF-17 that completely obliterates the sales of this abomination.
  10. Based on what's drawn there, I feel like that head in Kawamori's concept art is meant to look something more like the VF-19P's or YF-25's.
  11. Nope. Sam Witwer is reprising his role as the voice of Darth Maul in Maul: Shadow Lord. He previously voiced Darth Maul in Star Wars: the Clone Wars, Star Wars: Rebels, and some Lego Star Wars projects. His voice was also dubbed over Ray Park's for Maul's cameo appearance in Solo: a Star Wars Story. EDIT: I've seen some claims saying Disney might've cut ties with Park after a social media scandal a few years ago. No idea if that's true. They didn't use him for mocap in Rebels, because that series didn't use mocap.
  12. Is it a Windows PC? If so, you can try playing it with VLC. (This advice is for Win 10. Not sure if it'll work for Win 11) As VLC* doesn't natively support Blu-ray, you'll have to take some extra steps. The first is to put the Keys Database and AACS Dynamic Library on your PC. You can find them here: https://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/ * I believe you'll also have to install Java in order to enable the Blu-ray on-screen menus. It's not a necessary step. However, even if you do, annoyingly the menus are keyboard activated only. (As these programs are free, we can't really complain. 🤷‍♂️) I'm having about a 50-70% success rate in watching Blu-rays with just that. For those Blu-rays that don't work, you can try using MakeMKV to decrypt the Blu-ray. Regrettably, MakeMKV is in beta, and you have to update the Free Beta Key monthly. So far that has worked on the handful of discs I've tried. Instructions: https://www.reddit.com/r/VLC/comments/1fnbp3k/comment/mpkp9tj/?context=3 https://www.free-codecs.com/guides/how-to-use-makemkv-for-free.htm Hopefully this will work, and you will be able to watch those discs! The alternative is buying an expensive Blu-ray viewing app, or—as Shawn said—a super cheap Blu-ray player.
  13. Sorry these types or requests are not permitted in these forums....but I believe you can find super cheap blu-ray players at goodwill (seriously!

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

oh boy this reminds me of the exploding triangles on 171 … a hard pass for me …
  15. I ended up liking the Guardians of the Galaxy movies more than I thought I would when they were first announced....in fact they are among the only Marvel movies I have actually re-watched more than a few times.... This Supergirl movie looks like it co-exists in the same movie-verse at Guardians....so yeah...still interested
  16. So much cringe in that trailer....first major bomb of 2026? Only the kids can save this trash via youtube shorts and tiktok meme fodder that can then transition into large gangs of rowdy "youths" congregatiing all the local cinemas unleashing pure mayhem during the social media fabricated "meme moments"...."Minecraft The Movie Style"! Honestly, Sony should have started doing this the moment they started getting bad feedback from test screenings...and there's no way this slop has been getting anything but terrible feedback....
  17. Still a work in progress, but some iterations to look at in the meanwhile. On top, just a re-proportioned shovel head, on the bottom a quick bash of something with more of an actual face. The mandible shape needs work, but the concept is there. Also reshaped the eye to be more like the 25A/G and less like a flat lens. More to do, but maybe some good directions here.
  18. Then you may as well keep loading it up with snacks
  19. I like Lobo, but not the rest
  20. I don't know... all I'm seeing is red.
  21. Good luck! I've been waiting for nearly a year for my 1S part that's the size of a finger nail. They're using the tariffs as an excuse not to have customer service. Honestly though, I'm shocked they would agree to your request since it doesn't seem like it occurred to them until Max went into production... They shouldn't have any necks in a different color.
  22. Wow! Sadly, I just bought a new car, so...
  23. Yeah, Superman was a bad intro to the character, but I'm liking this more the more I see.
  24. I can see someone using it in table-top gaming.
  25. Yesterday
  26. So I just picked up the BluRay while I was in Japan this past winter break from Mandarake. I want to be able to watch this from my computer (while I work), but I don't have the necessary gear to rip it. So this might be a weird request but would someone where be able to share their 4k rip with me or point me to a place where I can download it?
  27. Yes. No. I'll agree to disagree. The Feios looks like a flying pancake. Moreover, it has smooth, unbroken lines whereas the Xiwanshe design is broken up, with a great deal of obvious layering effects across its surfaces. It would be, by virtue of design, very prone to drag. The Xiwanshe is a good sci-fi design, but unlike Kawamori's generally more grounded valks, impractical. Potentially, although I'm thinking Kawamori would smooth out all the rough edges and layering effects. I like the design, I'm just looking at it from a view to aerodynamics. However, anything will fly with enough thrust behind it. regarding the DNA kit for Alpha Trion, I like the look of those wings in flight mode, and they make for a nice cape in bot. I'm not going to spend the money, but I do think this meets the criteria for a proper upgrade, as it enhances any number of aspects of the figure, which is already pretty good, IMHO. Oh my, yes! I'm waiting on my copy to arrive, but FINALLY, a complete set of Omnibots! As much as I have to grudgingly agree, Downshift being the only one I owned as a kid and still my favorite, I think the poorly named Camshaft takes the prize as their best overall design amongst the three. XTB needlessly complicated the leg design on Overdrive, making it a tentative and frustrating process to transform, IMHO. YMMV, of course. I feel there's something off about Downshift, but I can't quite pinpoint it. I like it, but I have that feeling. Ironically, Camshaft was always my least favorite of the three, but I think XTB did their best work with this guy. The bot proportions are really good, and his car mode, as do all three, looks amazing. Camshaft's G1 toy arguably had the worst weaponized mode, and that follows with this fig despite XTB's attempts to update it and clean it up a bit. IMO, anyway. Still, it does the gimmick as it should. I'll be happy to have him in hand to place alongside his two partners. Now Takara, and Hasbro by extension, needs to crank out some Legacy Omnibots. We've waited far too long for official updates. edit: After I finished this post, I checked my mail only to find my copy of Camshaft waiting for me. Great looking figure! So happy to have all three at long last. Nevertheless, two complaints: first, the back of the car that swings under the upper torso has two L-shaped pegs that basically drop down into slots in armatures and the near entirety of the upper torso is seemingly only held in place by gravity. I tried squeezing down on them to see if they'd engage a little more firmly, but they don't seem to. That means the torso instantly disengages and pops up like a PEZ dispenser with any amount of handling. I even watched a couple transformation vids and it appears I'm doing it right, so if your experience is different, correct me please! BTW, the torsos in both vids seemed to tab firmly unlike my fig, so IDK what I'm doing wrong. Second, by virtue of the shields around the guns' grips, I find it almost impossible to get any leverage to allow the pins on said grips to insert into the slots in the palms. All I can do is try to close the fingers as tightly around them as I can and try to avoid bumping them lest they pop out of the hands and go flying. Edit 2: I used a pair of needlenose pliers to push those L-shaped tabs into their slots, at which point they engaged. It just surprised me that I needed those, as they don't just drop into place and lock on mine as I've seen in other vids. I have to squeeze the armatures inwards, too, for proper alignment. As those pegs are only plastic, I'm rue to just push down with any force, as I fear breaking them off. I already broke one of the seat bits on Overdrive when it got stuck in place and I had to use some force to get it to move. Just so, I'm leery to apply force to anything.
