  1. Past hour
  2. All you need are those scaled destroids and valks now.
  3. Today
  4. Awesome! Now the big question for those of us living in Japan: where are you going to put it?!? 😅
  5. Wasn't the "no current military" stance the smoke screen for faulty technic gears in that V-22?
  6. Nice! He wasn't even on my radar until the Galaxy Explorer. Full agreement!
  7. An uninspired attempt to coin a derisive nickname for isekai anime. It doesn't make sense if you think about it even a little, because TRON's "Grid" is just the software inside of a computer not an alternate reality and doesn't fit the definition of isekai even a little. Incidentally, I did a little more checking after supper. Of Crunchyroll's current Top 10 most-streamed titles on their service, the 5th and 9th places are isekai titles (Campfire Cooking in Another World and Tales of Wedding Rings). The top four spots on the top 10 are all shounen, being held by My Hero Academia, Gachiakuta, One Piece, and Tougen Anki. Top-selling manga is also predominantly shounen too... with My Hero Academia, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Dan Da Dan topping charts in the west. Netflix's viewership metrics have shounen anime absolutely dominating their service's anime offerings too. The top-ranked anime title for I think three years running now on Netflix is Naruto. One Piece, Seven Deadly Sins, and Demon Slayer are all on that list too. Not a single isekai title broke the top 10 on Netflix. I'm not able to find any data for Hulu, but given the pattern established thus far... well... their website has a list of 22 strongly recommended anime titles based on their platform's streaming performance data. 0 are isekai. The titles that DID make the cut include Bleach, My Hero Academia, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Jujutsu Kaisen, Ishura, Mob Psycho 100, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, and Demon Slayer. That's 9 of 22.
  8. Not bad, nearly $1000 less than I paid 10 months ago. And with NAND chip prices going bananas I doubt you could build a PC that cheap right now with those parts.
  9. Saw ANACONDA for New Year's date night. It was fun and entertaining which was my expectation. Paul Rudd and Jack Black have great chemistry so its a recommended film.
  10. Been popping in MicroCenter and saw this good deal today: Micro Center: HP OMEN MAX Laptop: Ryzen AI 9 HX 375, 16" 240Hz, RTX 5080, 32GB DDR5 $1800 In-Store Pick Up Only Specs: AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 12-cores, 24-threads (2.0GHz Base / 5.1GHz Boost) Processor 16" WQXGA (2560x1600) 240Hz 500nits IPS Anti-Glare Display 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-5600 RAM 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 Graphics 2x2 Wireless LAN Wifi 7 (802.11be) + Bluetooth 5.4 Full-size Per Key RGB Backlit Keyboard with NKRO Anti-Ghosting Key Technology Windows 11 Home Ports: 2x USB 3.2 (Gen 2 Type-A) 2x USB 4.0 (Gen 3 Type-C) 1x HDMI 1x AC Smart Pin 1x LAN RJ-45 There were a few open boxes for 1700 local but may hold off a bit. I'm hunting for a new gaming laptop. Going to give up on desktops till another year or two.
  11. Well, there is a youtube channel by the name - but a quick look at it seems like it is simply every anime they could get their hands on.
  12. finally installed them little parts on both my Arcadia SDF-1s, so here be both of them with the rather small megahouse SDF-1:
  13. Yesterday
  14. Part 2 was pretty bad. This finale better knock my freaking socks off in the next hour or so help me, I don't even care if Terminator Zero Season 2 comes out, I won't ever touch netflix again.
  15. The point is that shounen's dominance of the anime conversation and public perception of anime goes all the way back to when the current crop of child-raising parents (Gen X-ers and Millennials) were exposed to the stuff via cable. Yeah, most anime is streaming these days but the reality is that if you go to most streaming services that carry anime most of what they're advertising prominently is not isekai... it's those big-ticket shounen titles like One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Hero Academia and a handful of dramas and non-isekai titles like Frieren, Spy x Family, and Oshi no Ko. Demonstrably false, I'm afraid. Most of what viewers are tuning in for when it comes to anime on streaming is shounen anime. It dominates the awards, it dominates the news, and it's also the stereotype of anime fans that's been dominant since the 2000s.
  16. To be fair the armor is the least of the problems with that Dracula movie.
  17. Yeah, the stands are well made; very happy with them! All the components are high quality materials from the acrylic to the hardware. If anything, a minor suggestion for improvement would be to include knurled fasteners for tool-less setup, but that would likely push the costs too high and limit poseability, so I understand why quick release/knurled fasteners aren't included. The first photo is just sitting on the base. I guess the threezero stand might be able to also support the kneeling setup while suspended in the air? I'd have to try it out to know for sure. I did try some banking setups with the threezero in fighter. It can do at least a 20* bank, but i didn't have time to try more than that. I'll try to get more photos up later. If you have any specific things you'd like to see, let me know and I'll try em out.
  18. This was my first upgrade kit. I like the extra height, new hands, and new faces but I'm disappointed in the lack of silver paint details on the new blaster compared to the one included in the regular DK-30 kit. The matrix chain was a nice idea but the implementation was meh as it always hangs facing down.
  19. That was like fifteen years ago or so. Most kids these days probably don’t even know what Cartoon Network was or even any cable channel. They’re mostly checking out the newest things from crunchy roll or some other streaming services and the Tronime is the majority of what pops up. Sure there’s gonna be shows they will like more that fit other genres like the anime superhero things or even classics, but the majority of what they’ve been exposed to is the stuck in a video game or reincarnated in a video game or the reincarnated from a video game or how to cook or how to camp anime or stuck in a video game and have to learn how to coook or camp. And the ones that don’t even like anime seem to blame those types of shows
  20. That looks really nice. In the first picture, do you have the the Valkyrie attached to the stand or is it just kneeling down on the base? Also, have you tried to bank the ThreeZero Valkyrie in fighter mode using the GoKin angle adapter?
  21. I think it looks alright so far, I don’t really get the hate that everyone is giving for design choices. Probably the first time I can remember so much hate for armor that doesn’t look super historic ever. Imagine if these people were around and watched that Gary Oldman Dracula movie. They’d have had a fit over his armor and style choices throughout that whole movie
  22. I watched Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Stairway to Adulthood- . Boy it did live up to the title,
  23. I was gonna suggest this Patlabor Models, but it looks like you already thought of that
  24. Hot Toys - Star Wars: Ahsoka - Shin Hati 1/6 scale action figure x 2
  25. My son got an entry level gunpla build from a friend. Pretty impressed with the articulation and the ability to hold a pose on these so-called entry kits.
  26. When the crowd enhances the performance:
