As previously discussed, USA warranty coverage may be non-existent now for this particular release. Stunning to imagine, but it should be considered here before jumping on. That's also assuming it's new...which has also been reported as often inaccurate as well.

I recently acquired this old Monogram Galactica dirt cheap, I didn't have the funds for the Moebius kit at roughly $150.00 and up plus shipping. This one had some missing parts and a few breaks to it, so definitely an ideal candidate for some customizing. The forward section had a panel missing and as well the front nose section is gone, so I'll have to make some new parts for that. They're in the rough stage but they ought to look really good when finished. While I grew up with the original BSG, my biggest gripe with this design were the flight pods, they always looked under-sized to me, with the help of cardboard, glue, putty, eventually some photo-etch parts and paint, this Galactica eventually will have some beefier looking flight pods and an even more dominating appearance. Just some super quick pics for what I'm jabbering on about.

I can't bring myself to. It's one thing to pay shipping costs and tarrif cost... it is entirely another to also have to pay hlj the same cost + some in handeling fees. My breakdown is something like: $65 fedex shipping $44 tarrifs $112 handeling fees It be one think of my warehouse was older than 1-2months old where I could understand it a little better. I think my oldest item is 2.5 weeks.

You're not wrong. The jet design is kinda whatever. I just like that you get a whole ass jet and a cool car in one set at $30. I like the jet's colors and prints, and the windscreen. I'm not sure about the angular nose, and the wings are literally just wedge plates. What do you think of Mike Psiaki's Blue Power Jet?

Amazon's been pretty regularly beating the Japanese prices, partly due to the free shipping and lack of duties, but the heavy discounts only tend to hit on certain releases that they seem to have over-supply of. I think I grabbed Max's YF-29 for about $175. The hard part is predicting which releases are going to hit that point. I don't think I've seen the YF-19 on heavy discount, but I was tempted to pick one up for the better tail mounts.

That is a great price, skips tariffs (min 15%) and free shipping($50), and is new (not used), with a warranty. We've finally beaten Japanese prices

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

Tojima is great. I really haven't paid KR much attention even though I watched a KR movie a couple of years ago. Think it was a remake of of the OG. It was fun but didn't follow it up. After Tojima though I've hunted down all KR and I'm ready to binge decades worth of this stuff. I need some japanese superhero stuff since Super Sentai is ending in the next couple of weeks. Or going on hiatus and replaced with Space Sheriff Galvy. And yes, there's is too much garbage isekai out there or "banished from party but I'm the strongest xxxxx". Lasts one season/12 episodes, gets cancelled but rinse and repeat the next season but with different names but same story. Basically shovelware. At least mecha were OVA quality 1-3 episodes and done or 30-40 episodes and lasted the year. Agreed. Used to be able to trust Bandai to crank out a robot show every year but not lately. Don't they still sell robot model kits and need a anime commercial to sell them? /s. At least Gundam Hathaway is coming January 30. I'm also going through my backlog of mecha shows that I haven't gotten around to. AMAIMA and Code Geass are next. -
$206.62 on Amazon USA right now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRK23S71

Still waiting to hear if Bandai is releasing a sound booster soon to take plunge. If they planed for it there should be visible attachments points for it on the bakc of the Battroid mode. Can any one that has it confirm? Videos don't help that much.

I know nothing about Madden or Football but this looks good. -
Got my copy from a local shop. Sure It was 300 bucks overall but nobody would have guessed it'd be on deep discount so soon in Japan XD. I like this one more than the Arcadia. I guess it makes sense since it was designed by the same dude but just interated on again

After you mentioned it, I started noticing how overly arched the FRONT feet are on the Toyrise. Would be better if the foot laid more flat, but none of the pics seem to show that as possible. And with so much of the feet sticking out the back in fighter mode, you can expect a ton of gaps in the Tread (like the old Toynami one) and a much longer connecting boom that’s a separate attachment.

Well, anytime a toy is upscaled, the strength, durability, and range of the joints are always a greater concern. Too, the use of diecast, which, for some, gives the impression of greater quality given the increased heft (I think I prefer more plastic with judicious use of diecast where sturdiness is a major factor). I like the look of the Pose+ and the increased scale certainly allowed them to do much more with the figure than Sentinel's little 1/48, which I still consider an excellent toy overall. However, my display space is exceedingly low these days and I wouldn't know where to put such a large figure if I got it. That's a personal issue, but anymore, I'm looking to smaller scaled toys like the HMR line over 1/60, which is my preference. However, I've been rather impressed by just how many features Bandai has managed to cram into the HMR figs, and Sentinel managed to cram a lot into their Legioss, so even at these smaller scales, a lot of these toys are proving quite impressive for how much can be built into them. I still wonder, with all the other built-in stuff Bandai manages with the HMR Valks, why they don't just integrate the retractable landing gear, too. Seems like something completely feasible. As to Toyrise, I'm thinking these aren't going to be too far removed from Transformers quality. While I don't mind their taking some liberties, I think there's a fine line between just right and too much. I've already mentioned my dislike of the high heels, or ballet shoes- it just doesn't look right or good. Moreover, I don't think the feet retract into the leg in fighter, so there's a lot of foot hanging out back there. And just like their Legioss, if they're taking liberties with one design, it's apparent that they'll do likewise in the event they choose to do a Tread. I wouldn't bet on the connecting mechanism, or connection itself, to be a very elegant thing, either. While a playable Legioss sounds fun, from what I'm seeing, I wish the execution was better.

Honestly, I thought this was one of the weaker sets, the jet more than the car. While I like the passenger jets, which benefit greatly from the large specially molded cockpit and fuselage parts, anytime they do a fighter-style jet, they all still look like 80s-90s designs to me. There just hasn't been much evolution in design, which is unfortunate. I understand and support LEGO's non-RW military vehicle stance; however, it sure would be cool if they didn't have that stance and they did a line of fighters with Speed Champions level of design. OR, do a fictional line of more sci-fi-ish fighters inspired by RW designs. My Macross fixation is speaking- I vehemently wish they'd do a Macross line. I'd LOVE to be a part of that design team if it ever came to fruition. For now, I'm happy to support Lendy Tayag's VF-1 on Ideas. I hope it gets the go-ahead for production, as I'm in for multiple copies.

I'll be glad when this show is over, the finale season is the weakest imho. Some really drawn out and unnecessary crap and plot lines that borderline on cringe. It took 3 years for this??- 310 replies

Thanks for the info Seto; I wasn't sure (I thought it folded back, but wasn't sure if it could also fold up). Guess Isamu wrecked it. -
The 2026 City lineup seems really strong to me, and for the first time, all but the very largest sets have only prints. I like to think it's due to his PTSD from leading Sticker Champions. The Jet vs Car set looks surprisingly good, in terms of subject matter, value, and lack of stickers.

I thought I'd POed it when I POed the upcoming BvS and The Batman Batmobiles, but after checking my order status, nope. Ah well, my sister gifted me a LEGO gift card for Christmas, so the spousal unit and I are headed to the LEGO Store on Thursday to scope out the new sets. I'll likely pick up the Delorean along with a couple other new Speed Champion sets. I may have to pick up one or two of the new City Great Vehicles as well. A former Speed Champions lead now leads the City line, and his goal is to impart more functionality into the City line while still maintaining or improving the aesthetics of the sets. I was wondering, especially given the working engine pistons in this year's bulldozer set. That was a surprise and certainly beyond the level of functional detail I've seen in a City set, so I'm quite pleased with this direction. My hope is that eventually they'll start integrating retractable landing gear into their aircraft sets, a bit of RW functionality that has too-long been omitted.
