  2. Awesome pick up. Enjoy.
  3. Happened upon this by accident browsing Amazon, and I have no idea if the brand is any good, but boy do I want to build one of these now. https://www.amazon.com/Building-Control-Compatible-Rechargeable-Robotics/dp/B0D8149WMY?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0D8149WMY&pd_rd_w=bL8QN&content-id=amzn1.sym.ee4d428e-9145-4c8f-81ac-5c7e8f43b2cc&pf_rd_p=ee4d428e-9145-4c8f-81ac-5c7e8f43b2cc&pf_rd_r=XY7XJG6YJMVMREV30R5B&pd_rd_wg=c3Dlu&pd_rd_r=7bc0e19d-ba8e-4417-a0a9-a8c26ac23526
  4. Unfortunately this is kind of what I've come to expect from companies in China, but my interaction with them to replace my VF-1J's wing (came with damaged paint in the package) was nothing but smooth, if a little long. What's tricky is when they actually want the item returned for a replacement, at which point, you're probably much better off fixing it yourself. In my case, they just sent out a replacement wing, since it was easy to swap out, and they didn't ask for the damaged one back. With something like the canopy, you might have to replace the entire nose section, so they might want you to send it back before they replace it. Depending on what you buy from China, I've seen cases where someone received a faulty item, and they didn't want it back, but they wanted photographic proof that the purchaser had completely destroyed the faulty item before they would send a new one. The product in question was a flight sim joystick, and they wanted the buyer to disassemble the entire thing, smash all of the individual components with a hammer, and send them photographic proof of the destruction before they would discuss a replacement. That particular seller is absolutely draconic about not letting people scrounge their faulty products for spare parts.
  5. Not concerning the Regult, it isn't. Say what you will about official stats post-SDFM, but the original 1982 series was pretty consistent with Zentraedi height being equal to that of the battroids. Regults were always depicted in the animation to be about twice the height of a battroid, and it was only after DYRL went into production in 1983 that they decided to downscale the Zentraedi, thus all the scale charts published post-SDFM reflect the new scaling. Everything produced post-DYRL follows the aesthetic changes made for the film -- and merchandising has always referenced the 1983 stats -- leading to the scale inconsistencies that confound us all... but during the production of the original TV series, the Regults never changed size. I do wish Bandai, Hasegawa et.al paid more attention to the anime itself.
  6. Still filling in the gaps.
  7. I’m a bit of two minds on that one. While I do love extra detail, there’s also the fact that these are machines for giants. I guess that panels would be larger and such to where they may appear somewhat like a Votoms size mecha. But the weathering would have to somehow help convey size more than detail or even decals. I think it’s really a tough one to really be able to find a balance there. Too much detail and it would look like it was made for a human sized pilot and too little might just make it look like a toy. so I basically dig the more anime look that these hasegawa ones have since they do have the larger panels and decals and lack little tiny things that would just be silly to a giant. As far as the height , that one still confuses me since Macross scaling is all over the place.
  8. Thanks for sharing. That’s a great looking build. 👍
  9. Yeah, more like 1:60. 🤔 Moreover, what is the point of producing such a large model if you're not going to add any detail? Without markings or weathering of any kind, there's no visual indication of size. It might as well be a capsule toy. 🤨 Conversely, here's a 1:72 scale Regult from yesterday's modeling exhibit in Okayama: Despite its comparatively small size, the surface detailing suggests a massive mech. The larger the surface area, the more detail you can add... ...and thus convey a much greater sense of scale. Just imagine what a talented modeler like this could do with a kit twice its size!
  10. The JarJar Binks bag is the stuff of nightmares.
  11. It’s LED Mirage time. 1:144 light armament version. Very excited for this little gem. The pearlescent armor along with silver and gold spot colors are going to look great! The armor is semi-transparent which may allow the dark purple/silver and lavender frame get a little reveal here and there. Might be a cool effect 😊 Only issue so far has been the poly caps in the knees were so tight it caused the plastic on both to split and need repairs. As long as I can get it into a simple standing pose when completed that’s fine with me.
  12. It's about time NECA got to the good show! If they maintain their standard 1:10 scale, however, the bad guys will all be huge and untenably expensive. 😓
  13. As I understand it, the impending ban prevents the sale of DJI's stuff in the US, but doesn't prohibit you from owning or using DJI drones in the States. Maybe my in-laws can get one for me...
  14. ThreeZero response: Dear Customer, Originally when you found these issues, you should contact us first and we may arrange the repairing service after finish the warranty registrations. But now you had glue it and also not register the warranty until now, the factory cannot help due to use the glue to fix it. Please show us the buying receipt and the warranty sheet images for checking first. Thanks! Best Regards, Threezero CS I know that this must be translated Engrish, but I’m guessing that this is ThreeZero speech for “tough crap”? Twich
  15. Sludge isn't my favorite... but he's not my favorite in G1 colors, either. I unironically love blue-and-green Swoop. My second-favorite deco after yellow Grimlock.
  16. I did click on “see more coupons” & it brought me to a page that showed other unrelated toys on Amazon which are not sold by Tamashii with their discounts by different Amazon sellers … funny how the 30% only applies on the YF-21 from Tamashii … a glitch in the matrix? Maybe … anyhoo, got the toy today - shipping was unusually fast for non-prime. Will read lots and lots reviews (esp. anymoon) & transformation videos. Life, work & a house purchase made me pause on collecting for a while - but here I am, back on it again. Really glad that MW is still around. Cheers & hope I’ll enjoy the 21. I used to owned a couple of gamlin’s vf-22s and boy were they fragile - plastic-wise, near the hips, if I recall there were stress marks all over near the inner hips … & both were unable to stand on their own in batt mode, so I had to make a customized adapter to keep one in “floating pose” with a plastic Bandai/gundam stand - sold both some time ago. Hopefully Bandai’s 21 offers more playability than the old Yamato - sounds like it, based off some reviews Ive seen so far (including jenius’s anymoon) … cheers!
  17. Very true. That is something that was previously discussed and a concern since Toynami is known to cheap out.
  18. We still don't know if Toynami's will have diecast, right? I would think that may have an effect.
  19. Same here...now.
  20. Have someone standing by over your shoulder like Mr, Miyagi with his chopstick! And looking closer at your kitty, he looks more like a lion! Great work on that neck @nightmareB4macross!
  21. Ahhh yes, click "See more coupons". If it shows a list, or link to list of toys with this one included, then this may be the regional type we spoke of. I have gotten these, and can usually click down to a link showing all the discount applies to, and with something indicating the region, like "Northeast" etc. Others have sussed out the link, "Southeast", "Northwest" and posted it so folks could see what was discounted where. Sometimes there's another Macross item in the list. When I saw this included, another DX, or at least HMR, also appeared with the same discount.
  22. Yesterday
  23. That's looking mighty fine !
  24. WOW. That’s a really nice compliment. Thank you. If only I had the manufacturing capabilities I would make this available to everyone.
