  1. Past hour
  2. Quoting myself as my millennial wife just admitted she always thought the actor in this GIF was Zach Galifianakis 🤣
  3. My F-8 Crusader is back on the table after a long hiatus. Some Quickboost air scoops added.
  4. Sneakers, with Ben Kinglsy, Sidney Poitier, Mary McDonald, River Phoenix... just an all-star cast led by one of the greats.
  5. I think I'm going to paint this armor plates the Dark blue vs. gray, something a little different.
  6. I mean it really shouldn't surprise anyone that Amazon is trying to unload this one. They're probably absolutely swimming in returned copies that Bandai won't support.
  7. Loved him in the Natural. And many other films too.
  8. Another great Actor lost in 2025... R.I.P! and thanks for the great films!
  9. Today
  10. Speaking of Soundwave, while I applaud the LEGO designers for making their version as good as it is, I was disappointed that the hips couldn't bend fore or aft and the forearms were rather skinny, proportionally, and the hands couldn't retract into the arms. So I fixed mine.
  11. Agree. SS86 Soundwave shares a fair bit of the Netflix's engineering/transformation. The cassettes aren't much better than what's come before, either. I'm thinking Ravage's jet packs and tail are on a separate piece that has to be parts-formed onto him after he's transformed, much like Steeljaw. At least the G1 cassettes had complete robot/creature modes- only the accessories were parts-formed. The Condors' wings aren't the right shape, and while Ravage's legs are an improvement over the previous release, his No-Neck Ed head and block-o-accessory sticking up on his butt just detract from what should be a svelte cat-like form. Again, his flatness notwithstanding, the G1 toy still looks better. Ravage here makes for a better Steeljaw, IMHO, as that wide neck would make for a good mane. A little cassettte deco would go a long way towards selling the alt modes, too. Funny that they still put out stock shots with mistransformation errors. It gives the impression they don't understand how to use their own products. So, not really the "Wow" factor I was hoping for, but it does make some improvements over the Netflix version, which suffered the additional kibble from its WFC crappy spaceship alt mode. I'll get him, but I can't help but feel a bit letdown over some of the execution, especially, as usual, with the cassettes.
  12. I was curious about that too, and here's what the sticker sheet includes: Everything else (lights, door handles, and manufacturer symbols) are printed. Great effort on Mattel's part for this kit: there's a thick, well illustrated instruction book with a history lesson on the car, a metal plaque that can double as a keychain, and the bonus Hot Wheels toy looks slick. The options of building a left or right hand drive NSX along with matching manufacturer symbols are nice touches: Mattel could do better with the brick pieces themselves, however. The red bricks are simply aren't as lustrous and deeply colored as Lego pieces. Just a minor niggle, nothing to make me stop looking forward to future kits especially with Mattel renewing their partnership with Ferrari.
  13. Need to see a few more angles. They did stuff like removing the spaceship kibble from his forearms and folding his knees so they don't bump out... But the way the waist still spins, the alt mode controls are a flap on his back, and the way his shins are in the sides of his alt mode instead of folded in are making it seem like like a proper new mold and more like a more modified Netflix Soundwave.
  14. A huge thank you to @pengbuzz & @Mog for helping out with the Jupiter Base decals & stickers. Also, a big thank you to @tekering for the color suggestions. I have one more can of Navy Blue on the way, so I can finish this Dark Tread project. So far everything is moving along nicely. I might be attempting a scratch built front chest plate vs. just flipping down the canopy section.
  15. Managed to get one of the Hot Wheels Nemesis Prime from Mattel Creations. At €94 including VAT and shipping this stings quite a bit. I had to wait 10 minutes in a queue, click through 3 captchas and fill in a telephone number that’s market as optional but I managed to score one.
  16. Out of all the mainstream Takara/Hasbro lines, the SS86 line is the only one that almost, almost, almost got me to bite and sell off my MP season 1 Cons and Autobots, official Takara and third party fill-ins. For standard retail releases, the vast majority of these figures have looked great, and very G1, which was what caused me to buy up early MP in the first place and avoid CHUG and retail lines. I don't know, sizing down would be great, and selling off what I have could fund buying everything back up in the SS86 line three or four times over, it's just a lot of work and I don't think I can bother doing all that.
  17. Your health is more important (barely...) Take care of yourself.
  18. Sorry, but unless I see more than that, I have to call that AI!!
  19. I appreciate the show runners trying to work around a possible cliff-hanger ending. More shows need to be written as though every season is the last. And I am an outlier, as I liked this one. To me, the wedding episode was by far the worst by far of the furthest farther than farther and even farthier than that! This one though, felt like a return to more serious story telling and, in fact, it could have used more time. This would have been better with more lead-in during previous episodes or as a two-parter. I liked most of the interactions all around, though have Patel turning into the Savior of the universe needed a lot more explanation and history behind it. Having it happen over the course of the season or even the previous season as well, would have been a lot better. As it is though, I am fine with it. Some time-wimey interdimensional explanations about how cause and effect can swap and actually lead to the effect first was fine. Again, it just needed more time to build it up. Really hoping next season deals with more serious stories as that is when the this show is really good. ...and at least one more musical episode...
  20. I think all the "main" parts are printed. Stickers are just for tuning/customization options, like stripes etc.
  21. Carlos has my blessing to back-engineer my Tanku-Robo model if it will help produce a faithful figure.
  22. MW is gett'in spammed hard in multiple threads today! Hope the mods are available to remove them. Thank you mods for maintaining the website!
  23. Deja vu. Figured I'd go for 3 - one for each mode: Car, Bot, Retirement Fund. Color me surprised. Maybe Mattel realized they left gobs of money on the table with the Prime release and decided to produce more units this time?
