pengbuzz Posted July 22 Posted July 22 (edited) From NY Post: Quote Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary "Prince of Darkness" and one of heavy metal’s most iconic stars, has died. He was 76. He died “surrounded by love,” his family said in a statement to The Sun on Tuesday. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.” (more): https://nypost.com/2025/07/22/entertainment/ozzy-osbourne-dead-black-sabbath-frontman-dies-at-76/ Edited July 22 by pengbuzz
Tking22 Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Holy crap this sucks, RIP to an absolute legend. Whether it was Sabbath or Ozzy solo, the man was a rock legend and brought me countless hours of joy with his music. Once again, RIP to a legend, he will be missed.
Old_Nash_II Posted July 22 Posted July 22 PUTAQUEPARIU.... Black Sabbath's last show was truly his last. Thank you for the iconic songs from my rock life.
TangledThorns Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Besides being known for his music Ozzy was funny af for his reality and live performance shows. RIP

RIP The Osbournes was hilarious, and thinking back how long ago it came out, it was kind of at the forefront for the coming reality TV renaissance. I loved that show, it felt like getting to grow up with the Osbournes to a degree, seeing this legend just living his life, constantly picking up little dog turds and getting subtitled every time he speaks, good times, RIP Oz.
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Ah man, this one hits hard. Another legend gone, RIP Mr. Osbourne.
Big s Posted July 22 Posted July 22 I was just watching some of his stuff. It was tough seeing him have to perform from a throne, but also joyous to hear him one last time. This one really hurts. I love Ozzy’s solo stuff and his classic Black Sabbath songs. Always on my play list on the drive to work. I think we all knew it was coming, but I guess I thought he’d have more time to enjoy his retirement

I was really looking forward to it because I was curious about what he had to say. I’d never heard his speaking voice at the time, only his singing voice. Then I was just sitting in my room when the interviewer finally started and I was not prepared for the hilarity that ensued. It was like an episode of Lassie where the guy doing the interview would ask these important sounding questions and all you’d hear from Ozzy was mumble mumble mumble. The interviewer would respond saying stuff like “You heard it here first”. This kinda went on for a while and to this day , I always think back to that day and how I still have no idea what he was saying
Thom Posted July 22 Posted July 22 Rest in Peace, Ozzy. You were truly one of a kind, and the very best sort at that!
mikeszekely Posted July 22 Posted July 22 If there was a Mount Rushmore for heavy metal Ozzy would definitely be on it. Dude was a legend.
Hikuro Posted July 22 Posted July 22 truthfully not surprised he's gone, at least not this fast. There were stories I've heard where Sharon and him were planning to go to Switzerland cause assisted suicide was a thing. Given his situation and how much pain he was in, falling, back surgery, diagnosed with Parkinsons, I get why it would be a thing. If anything it showed his final concert not even a month ago was a big send off and a message to everyone this was gonna be truly the end.
derex3592 Posted July 23 Posted July 23 RIP Ozzy! I can imagine Ozzy and Randy Rhodes jammin out together up there!
Valkyrie Hunter D Posted July 23 Posted July 23 One of my favorite stories about him is how he once joined a religious protest march against himself outside his concert venue. I don't know if it's true, but with Ozzy, it's plausible.

That’s definitely one that’s probably true and just as funny as how Dave from Foo fighters gets a bus to do free concerts around certain overly religious protests. I like that some of these guys can find fun non violent ways of dealing with things. I think the real question though isn’t wether it happened with Ozzy, but if he knew it happened, like maybe he accidentally joined the march not realizing that he was protesting himself
