I don't think Amazon will ever have a huge discount on this.  I currently have a voucher at Nin-Nin-Game so I might get a spare from them with the price dropped down.  It's listed cheaper at Hobby-Genki but for some reason I don't have any rewards there.

Why not?  They had a huge one on the 19Kai.

I'd guess just because it's a webshop item.  Doesn't mean there won't be resellers, but I wouldn't expect people to be willing to gamble on this one as much.
