jenius Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I guess we work our way out with the scouts just being crabs... Too far?
jenius Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I'm planning on selling off some excess MegaHouse ride armors this year. To prepare myself for no longer owning these toys I went ahead and shot a HD mega review. Check it out for a trip down memory lane (click on the link in my sig). Here's a pic in the meantime:
UN Spacy Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Got to meet Shinji Aramaki last Friday at Japan Expo. I wrote a full write up in the convention sub forum. If they can snag Kawamori for next year OMG.

If they can snag Kawamori for next year OMG. Wow, I had the same idea to have Aramaki sign my Beagle Cyclone. Congrats, I would treat that thing like a treasure.

abbadon Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That's pretty cool UN Spacy. I've been rewatching Mospeada and have been wanting to get a Armor Cycle myself, but having the base signed by Aramaki? Awesome!
akim Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Congratulations!! I'm really jealous!!! So beautiful!! "My precious......" ^^
Hoptimus Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That is so awesome. I got Amano to sign my Mospeada Graphitti book and would love to have Aramaki sign it!!
daBlah! Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That is an excellent bit to have on display, touched by the man himself!
RD Blade Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I must say, those are gorgeous countertops.
Tober Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 That's some of the best kitchen decor I've seen. Mrs. derex3592 must be thrilled with those results.
derex3592 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 There isn't one of those...at this point...LOL.
captain america Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Gorgeous counter-tops!! And those inbits are pretty nifty too
DarrinG Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Interesting auction for a finished IMAI 1/55 Legioss -- looks pretty good! ( I would like the kit just the steal the hands ) No bidders yet at only 5,000: https://www.rinkya.com/en/auction-w112906033
captain america Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 The Imai kit is actually touted as being 1/48... In a world where a fully-grown adult male is 4 feet tall. I loathed that kit so much when I was a kid: the engineering really fails on so many levels it's not even funny. The non-variable 1/72 kits are not only better but also probably the best plastic Legioss representations.
cool8or Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 that's why we need a 1/48 battroid Legioss to match all our crabs!
captain america Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 that's why we need a 1/48 battroid Legioss to match all our crabs! I'm starting to think that this may very well be needed. Perhaps after the Eager (Baby Space Crab)
Smut Peddler Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I wish someone would make some conversion kits for the beagle 1/10 ride armors so we could have a Yellow and a Fuke
cool8or Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Cap, as you know, I could't buy your 1/32 Legioss, so a 1/48 battroid will be perfect!! at last we will have a very complete Mospeada collection!!
jenius Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Battroid? You mean soldier! Respect the not-blatant-rip-off name changes
varitechs Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) I'm starting to think that this may very well be needed. Perhaps after the Eager (Baby Space Crab) very interesting only battloid mode ? Edited October 10, 2014 by varitechs

I wonder if they tried to force the idea of the Legioss so small is because it was a triple change fighter so close to Macross -- and they were trying to make a differentiation? In the end - we all realize that human males could never fit the way they suggest and the Legioss is probably a lot closer to VF-1 size . . .
wwwmwww Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I'm starting to think that this may very well be needed. Perhaps after the Eager (Baby Space Crab) NICE!!!! But I'm torn too. I have the 1/32 Legioss and I'm STILL hoping for a 1/32 Tread to go with it. The pinnacle of all Mospeada models feels incomplete without this. Yes, I know it would be huge. Yes, I know it would be expensive. But I hope there is at least a small chance this sees the light of day sometime. Keeping hope alive, Carl
DarrinG Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I'm feeling like its suddenly possible to get a 1/48th Tread! Not sure if we'll ever see a 1/32 tho. In fact - a 1/48th Tread might be only 3 projects away; Mini Space Crab, Legioss Soldier (with all 3 heads included?) and then Tread Soldier?? And I feel confident this one will get a proper chest cover . . .
captain america Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 very interesting only battloid mode ? I would start off with offering Soldier mode and see what type of demand there is... After the baby crab of course!
SuperSenpai Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I remember trying to build that Legioss kit as a kid. I had bought two model kits from the local comic shop one day -- the Imai Legioss kit and a VF-1S kit. Both were epic fails -- gluing pieces together after I had accidentally skipped steps, trying to undo the bonding by running the pieces under hot water, accidentally dropping pieces down the drain... Granted, I must have been about 9 years old and had never built a model before in my life.
