jvmacross Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Update from Kitz Concept.... Hi everyone, Sorry for the slow replies. Some of the products are experiencing delays, and I will be sending you updated information very soon. For those who ordered the set of 10 pilots, we will ship them together once all 10 are ready. A full timeline and an introduction to some new product features will be available next week. I’ve also posted some promotional videos on my Facebook page, so feel free to check them out there. Thank you so much for your support. I’ll do my best to reply faster, and may get someone to help answer your questions. I’m truly sorry for not responding in a timely manner. Cyrus This was posted only in English, so perhaps this is more of an update for US customers? Hopefully we will be receiving the figs from the 1st wave soon...guessing that would also include the "Adam" figs to make whole the Regults that were pre-ordered directly from KC months ago that included the pilots.....I remain cautiously optimistic....although I don’t have much of a choice at this point... Chronocidal Posted Sunday at 11:27 PM Posted Sunday at 11:27 PM I... have no idea what I'm looking at. They're making Robotech figures... right? That's what these are supposed to be? Or did I miss a memo or something? Quote

jenius Posted yesterday at 09:42 PM Posted yesterday at 09:42 PM (edited) So there's going to be some sort of ten pack available? Maybe if I buy the ten pack I can also get the one they owe me. Edited yesterday at 09:42 PM by jenius Quote
Big s Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I know zentraedi came in many colors from Caucasian to purple, so dark skin like this isn’t out of the realm of what could be. But not sure if it’s due to regulation or they just can’t grow it, I can’t really remember a single one with facial hair, although it could just be my memory Quote

If you went all-in on the Kickstarter, a ten-pack would contain....5 Gluu-Gers (Rico, Konda, Bron and 2 Generic Types) and 5 Serau-Gers (Khyron, Breetai, Dolza, and 2 Generic types).....but there have already been variants, so who knows what the final count will be.... The beard is new, tho. I don't think we see a Zentradi with facial hair before Macross Digital Mission VF-X in '97. Also, is it just me or do these facial sculpts look... familiar? 4 hours ago, sh9000 said: Like this one is just straight-up Arnold Schwarzenegger c. Terminator. jenius Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I think he was giving away the Arnold homage with his Terminator repaint custom. The facial hair thing is interesting as questions about grooming lead to questions about culture pretty quickly. Quote
MKT Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago It's weird that there's all these faces suddenly showing up being mixed in with the official characters in the soldier range. Just confuses folks especially there's just so many variants now that are still yet unreleased. It would be better to clearly label them as a 'What If' range or something.. Quote
Froy Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Isn't this kind of weird stuff that killed America made Robotech a few years ago? Quote

Or.. just focus on a product that clearly represents the series it's taken from, maybe? Not to be a stick in the mud about having fun, this just feels ill-advised for them to be parading around random variants and possibilities, when many of the people who pre-ordered are still waiting for the original product. Maybe there's not much they can do while waiting for production, but showing off things that probably won't ever get produced probably isn't doing them any favors. Quote

Ah, but "American-made Robotech" has been conceived and miscarried so often it's hard to keep track. The Sentinels was stillborn, The Shadow Chronicles died in the crib, Robotech 3000 and Academy were flushed before they could become fetal matter, and whatever Sony claims to have developed isn't even a glint in the milkman's eye. 🙄 Books are the only American-made Robotech media to have survived infancy, and that's where obvious lifts from other sci-fi franchises become apparent. Indeed, some of the more recent comics have borrowed liberally from unrelated Macross sequels (even tracing artwork outright, if I'm not mistaken), leading to their untimely demise... ...but I don't think Cyrus customizing his prototypes is going to hurt his business any more than it's already hurting. 😒 Quote
