I could barely stand mine up because everything moves the second you touch it. Lol hand grenade it is.. I put it into this pose & left it as it is forever. Around the same time I had the 1/72 VF-25S Armored on PO, but cancelled it soon after putting this Zeta together. It would be quite some time before I touched another RG kit as I thought all RGs were like this Zeta. Quote

MKT Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Movie was a dud, and the toy even more so because of it. Still, this is a very nicely made diecast spaceship. Too bad it doesn't transform, have variable wings or other movable parts to change to other modes, else would have easily picked up another. Quote

Honestly it is a bit of a disappointing attempt by Bandai, most of the articulation doesn't have good range and the biggest offender is when attaching the two guns to the chest. They do not lock in securely enough and will easily pop-out when touching it from certain angles due to how rounded the chest is. Unless you are a die hard SOC collector or big fan of SKL, it should not be priority purchase. My hope is that Sentinel might take a stab at it in their Riobot line. Quote

I'm not very familiar with Mazinger IP, so the lack of the usual red chest 'Z' symbol or bolt threw me off a bit. The articulation in your pic already looks very good to me, but I'm also not familiar with the SOC line as a whole. Incidentally, I have my first SOC the Getter Arc on the way; it was on massive discount recently at HLJ & I got it more of a curiosity on the SOC line. I don't doubt Sentinel's articulation would be better, I really liked the looks of their Mazinkaiser at one time but when the re-issue came around, the urge has passed lol. Quote

Looking it up now, it must have been Matchbox's, but back then I thought it was the most amazing toy ever based on that box! During the same time, or perhaps on another visit circa the same era, there was the huge SDF-1 toy (Takatoku), but it didn't make as much impression to me as this Voltron did. Perhaps I should pick up the Chogokin one day. Quote

All the joints are nice and tight, despite being made of 15 parts/vehicles. Two handed sword poses are no problem. Articulation galore. All the vehicles have nice little touches. And it just has a crap-ton of accessories. There are a few design limitations (can’t really rotate the forearms, so that the wheels are facing the torso instead of the back). But it’s one hell of a collector’s piece. Quote
m0n5t3r Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 I thought the SMP would be bigger. But they're somewhere in between the SRC and the Revoltech in terms of size/scale. Still, it's the only Enkidudu that's available. Quote
