CoreyD Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Excited, but nervous...It's gonna be really, really hard to follow up on the first two games.
Vepariga Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 im so pumped for this, the screenshots that been released look awesome! going to be another solid title, love'em
Dynaman Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 My son loves these games, I've heard countless hours of Joker's henchwoman's comments in the background while I was playing another game or doing work...
Mommar Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Interesting, it's not Rocksteady working on it this time. I wonder if that will be to it's detriment or not.
kanedaestes Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 From all the information, Rocksteady approves of the group and handed over much of their unreal software and other stuff to make for a seemless transition with the games.
VF-15 Banshee Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 So if eight assassins are coming after Batman...? 1. Deathstroke 2. Deadshot (?) 3. Lady Shiva (?) 4-8. (???)
azrael Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 So if eight assassins are coming after Batman...? 1. Deathstroke 2. Deadshot (?) 3. Lady Shiva (?) 4-8. (???) What? You think they're gonna release all their information at once?
Hoptimus Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Deathstroke they have shown also. Looking forward to this. I loved the first 2.
Archer Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 After Rocksteady, I really hope these guys know what they are doing! In other news, this only adds to the seemingly endless stream of sequels that I need to pick up now, on top of the PS4 itself (Infamous, Killzone, Assassin's Creed, now Batman, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, etc. etc. etc. etc.)
azrael Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 So apparently, there will be 2 games under this title. Batman: Arkham Origins for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate for Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita which will be set directly after Arkham Origins. https://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/04/09/may-cover-revealed-batman-arkham-origins.aspx
VF-15 Banshee Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 What? You think they're gonna release all their information at once? No, just asking for educated guesses.
Archer Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 If this game is not for PS4/next xbox, I will be thoroughly surprised. I thought everything in the October timeframe was destined for next generation goodness.
VF-15 Banshee Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Merciless teasing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tq9bKYfyM-o
505thAirborne Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Looks more like a live action movie than a video game.... very lifelike!!
kanedaestes Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Except that's just a cut scene so yeah still waiting for gameplay
505thAirborne Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Except that's just a cut scene so yeah still waiting for gameplay Very true, hope the actual gameplay is impressive.
Negotiator Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Cut scene looks great. Just wish they'd announce if Kevin Conroy is back or not. And if they intro the joker, will mark be back? Kinda sucks about the ds3/vita game. If they make it free for those that bought the game on the consoles, that would push me to buy a vita. (Damn more play arts figs too.)
kanedaestes Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Mark officially retired his Joker after Arkham City
Mommar Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 They already announced Kevin Conroy is not doing Batman's voice in this game. Batman is significantly younger in this one and they want somebody who sounds younger to play him this time. I don't understand what you think sucks about the 3ds/vita game exactly?
VF-15 Banshee Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 I'm given to understand that these are in-game screenshots. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/gamenews.php?id=102683
Negotiator Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 (edited) They already announced Kevin Conroy is not doing Batman's voice in this game. Batman is significantly younger in this one and they want somebody who sounds younger to play him this time. I don't understand what you think sucks about the 3ds/vita game exactly? Sucks as in I don't have a vita or 3ds to play it, but if there were a code for free download from the ps3 game, it would push me to buy a vita. Hope the new guy is good and doesn't sound forced. If he's significantly younger, maybe they can stretch out his younger years for a few more games. Edited May 17, 2013 by Negotiator
arrow Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I liked the first game. The second seemed to just ramp up the difficulty too much.
badboy00z Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Looks more like a live action movie than a video game.... very lifelike!! That's exactly what I thought. Looks awesome!
azrael Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Was anybody at Dallas Comic-Con to hear this? CONFIRMED: Kevin Conroy Says he WILL Return to Voice Batman in 'Batman: Arkham Origins'!
Mommar Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 That's a surprise, I had heard otherwise. I'll need to go back and see if I can find that article I wrote about it... unless there's some some twist to the story that allows both him and another to voice Batman.
Negotiator Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Was anybody at Dallas Comic-Con to hear this? CONFIRMED: Kevin Conroy Says he WILL Return to Voice Batman in 'Batman: Arkham Origins'! Sweet! I'm sold.
kanedaestes Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Full Trailer, still no gameplay footage though. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/gamenews.php?id=104505
azrael Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 YT link: And if you preorder, you will receive Deathstroke as a playable character DLC. Some other tidbits: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/20/batman-arkham-origins-is-a-blast-from-the-past Batman will be voiced by Roger Craig Smith (Ezio from Assassin's Creed and Chris Redfield from Resident Evil). So is Kevin Conroy doing a flashback roll in this or does he have his games mixed up? Troy Baker will be voicing The Joker. Also taking a cue from the earlier setting is now you'll have to avoid the GCPD as Commissioner Loeb will be after you (Batman).
