  1. Just to clear things up 1.It has never been established, not even by FASA in court that TCI ever had a legitimate license to give to them. 2.The Exosquad "Madcat" never made it into production, the lawsuit was triggered by playmates advertising its prototype at toy trade shows. Originally FASA and Playmates had been working together on a toyline based on the upcoming cartoon, but the deal fell through. FASA ended up pairing with Tyco to release their Battletech line. It was at this point Playmates promoted the prototype, and FASA took them to court. 3.Playmates then got Harmony Gold involved and counter-sued claiming FASA didn't own the rights to designs they said they did. 4.In the first suit the Judge ordered that Playmates didn't have any rights to the Heavy Assault E-frame(Madcat) and to stop using its image, there was not enough evidence to establish monetary damages and the case was dropped. 5.The counter-suit found that despite FASA claims that HG relinquished their rights to the designs by not bringing them to court untill 1996 was not enough as it was established that HG had provided a cease & desist since 1985 and had a contiuing correspondence with FASA since then to stop using the designs. After this FASA fearing a lawsuit voluntarily dropped all the licensed designs from their works. Court records Harmony Gold v. FASA http://www.kaempen.org/alex/harmony_gold_v._fasa.html
  2. To make this easier and a bit interesting how about weight classes like they have in boxing or MMA? For example: Grunt divison(Zakus, GMs, Leo's, etc) UC Gundam division(RX-78, GP-02, ALEX, etc) UC heavyweights(Unicorn, Dendrobum, mobile armors etc) ALT Gundam divison(G gundams, Wing Gundams, X, SEED, 00, etc) UFCRX ONE(no rules, all entries accepted)
  3. Didn't care much for the first one given its "already been there" plot and Peter turning into a whiny douche. This trailer doesn't excite me either, and all I could think is movie Iron Man could kill all 3 bad guys fairly easily. Still I will most likely give it a shot.
  4. RGM-79SPII with the backpack off the test type GM from 0083 and the twin gatling guns from the Heavyarms custom EW version. Melee weapon beam javelin. Paint scheme? Neon yellow and black. Personal logo? A spoked wheel with cartoon bumblebee wearing a WWI flight cap and scarf.
  5. Especially when you have games like Bioshock Infnite, Fallout 3/Vegas, Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, Dishonored, Tomb Raider, God of War, Uncharted, Halo, and Borderlands. Truth be told, and you can argue against it all you want, but the game/s that defined this generation of systems is the Call of Duty series. No other game has sold as well as it, or has been played more by more people on this planet than it. Everybody on this forum has at least tried it once as far as I know.
  6. Good god! They hired one of the Japanese Yamato girls to promote the series in the U.S in badly formed broken english... Who apparently can't count either as they announced the 26 episode series wth be released on 6 dvds with 4 episodes each. 6X4=24??? What about the other two?
  7. I think I did pretty well for black Friday. I spent a little under $200 and got Assassin's Creed IV Lego Marvel SuperHeros Skyrim Legendary edition Dishonored GOY edition Bioshock Infinite Resident Evil Racoon City I Decided against the PS3 because I really didn't have the space for it, and I really had no interest in owning Arkham again. Money's also tight this year so that played a factor. I really envy a lot of you guys that can drop $400+ on a PS4 and scantilly clad anime figures or valks all at once.
  8. One main title? Yes! Cena vs Orton for it? NO!
  9. Is a PS3 with 250gig HDD bundled with last of us and arkham city for $200 a good deal? I never owned a PS3
  10. If you think that's bad try image googling Yuki Mori, an "actress" took that name in honor of the character!
  11. So basically Survivor Series was F*** this S*** in the A**?
  12. I'll be perfectly honest there should be at least a single general sports thread allowed on here, but the powers that be seem to be vehemently against it saying its not Sci-fi or anime related. I find that a little strange give some of the threads that are allowed here like the MMA, music, automotive, weapons, and photography threads that really have a tenative link to sci-fi or anime at best if at all.
  13. And Bubblegum Crisis in turn influenced a lot of imagery in Robocop 2.
  14. So basically its going to be a short game that will most likely end on a cliffhanger.
  15. Nope. Some idiot left it in the public documents for the 85 U.S. budget. The head of skunk works once claimed it was the code for the budget allocation for the B-2.
  16. Tomb Raider... it wasn't a bad game, but it was too brief, with too few challenges, or hidden treasures to find. Once finished there's no reason to go back and play it again. I liked Tomb Raider Underworld a good deal more to be honest. I don't really have a favorite game of the year right now, there were som decent ones, but nothing stand out to me.
  17. I saw it and enjoyed quite a bit. Of the post Avengers Marvel films so far this has been the best one. Its good to see people responding well to it and its making good money as the first one was the underachiever in the first wave despite it being pretty good. I also want to go on record as saying that I like Kat Dennings in the Thor films, nor do I have a problem with Natalie Portman or the other human characters. Transformers this is not. My Marvel movies best to worst 1.Iron Man 2.Avengers 3.Thor: The Dark World 4.Captain America 5.Iron Man 2 6.Thor 7.Incredible Hulk 8.Iron Man 3 Keep in mind there is a huge gap in enjoyment between the first Thor at 6 and the last two films at 7 and 8. Finally once again I ask like I did in Iron Man 3...
  18. The equivilent of the Flag of The Southern Cross Army would be the flag of the US Army. What the actual Glorie civilian government's flag(I.E. stars and stripes) looks like is never actually shown.
  19. I got another guilty pleasure, the mob noir film Bound starring Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon, and Joe Pantoliano. It was the first movie directed by the Warshowski Bros(or is that brother and sister now?) before they did the Matrix films. It has possibly the hottest lesbian love scene outside of porn aside from it being a great film.
  20. Alright let's get one thing clear here turd I don't JUST watch anime for the fanservice and ecchi situation, but I am also not going to crap all over a show like Queen's Blade, Ikki Tousen, or Aika like you do, because they are at least being honest about what they are, unlike other shows that try to force jiggling boobies and panties in. The guy with the Shelf Life column on Anime News Network probly said it best in his review of Highschool DxD: There are limits to my tolerance as I found Qwaser of Stigmata to be absolutle garbage, didn't care for Gantz, and no I really couldn't care less about Princess Resurrection either. I'm not a big fan of horror anime, the character designs don't appeal to me, and the previews did nothing to hook me. Now would you like to know some anime I do like? I love pretty much anything by Leiji Matsumoto(just finished original Harlock), Berserk, Lupin III, Venus Wars, Gunbuster, Sword of the Stranger, Captain Tylor, GaoGaiGar, Daiguard, and a lot of other stuff. You want a classic I love that doesn't include ecchiness? Give Scrapped Princess a shot. This series as others can attest is damn near close to perfect. Its a show that should be on Toonami as opposed to some of the things they've shown.
  21. I attended the 2013 Halloween Howler last night. I'm a little disapponted that my race got cancelled to make way for championship make up races... still there was reason we all go the massive 4 and 8 cyl enduro's. Last year the 4cyl had 137 cars, this year we had almost 180 five wide on a quarter mile oval. Here's last years event. Forgive if I already posted this in the past.
  22. And who designed that breast fighter again?
  23. Funny thing about Colonial Marines is the varying price since its release. It started at $60 new, then the bad reviews and lawsuit happened so its price dropped almost immediatly to $25-30 bargin bin relegation which caused it to sell a ton of copies so the price rebounded back to $60 before finally settling at about $35-40 new.
  24. Considering both were made by Krupp it very well could have been the same guy outright. The Bagger 288 does share a small amount of concept design with the P1500 Monster design. The Monster was Krupp's idea for taking a massive 31 inch Gustav railgun and giving it tank treads so it could go anywhere. The monster never made past the conception pre-prototype design stage unlike the Ratte who had some parts made before cancellation, or the Maus' two prototypes.
  25. Correction, the Maus was never actually fielded in combat. Only two prototypes were ever built one without a turret. The first completed one was sabotaged to prevent it from falling into Russian hands, and the second incomplete one was abandoned outright. After the war the red army took the intact turret off of the blown up one and attached to the second hull which is what you see in the Russian national tank museum today. Because they were prototypes it really is hard to tell how successful it would have, but it did have a gun that could outrange and destroy anything put against it, and could out turn a sherman. Still if you think the concept of the Maus is insane you should look up the Ratte aka the Landkruizer. Somebody at Krupp thought it would be a good idea to make a tank 5 times the size of the Maus and fit it with twin 11 inch naval guns.
