  1. It looks overly melodramatic and predictable to me. Either he's going to end blowing the girls head off out of mercy, letting her go and most likely end on a cliffhanger, or pull a deus ex machina cure out of his butt. None of those possibilities appeal to me, and they will more than likely leave me asking "I sat through two hours of this for that?".
  2. I'll say a Last Starfighter sequel/reboot first before either of those two.
  3. Anybody know where I can get an old school flight cap with goggles like Marco from Porco Rosso wears? Preferably before next friday?
  4. I could have done without the crappy metal soundtrack, and gone with something more John Williams.
  5. I just got the schedule update for my panels. Heavy Metal Heroes is going to be in panel 202 Friday from 5:30 to 6:30pm Air Combat in Anime is in the Sheraton Fens Saturday from 6:00 to 7:00pm All About That Ecchi and Fanservice is in panel 208 Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30pm Kancolle Weapons Behind the Women is in panel 202 Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30am schedule is subject to change.
  6. I haven't seen Evol yet. I gave up on the franchise after watching the first series finding it boring, repetitive and mind numbingly stupid at times.
  7. I'm not big on thread necromancy, but in light of recent events like the rediscovery of the IJN Musashi and yet another panel of mine being accepted for Anime Boston(Kancolle: The Weapons Behind The Women) I think its time to resurrect this thread like a Space Battleship rising from its grave. Here's news footage covering the Musashi. Anyways since my panel is going to be focusing more on historical facts than which girl is cutest and have a complete overview of the Pacific campaign is there any ships or battles aside from the obvious(like Yamato, Shimakaze, Pearl, Midway, Leyte) I should focus on? Anything you feel I should include?
  8. Anybody want to make a quick buck? I need a Kancolle style ship girl sketch done for an American ship, the destroyer escort Samuel B. Roberts for my Kancolle: Weapons Behind the Women panel at AnimeBoston. PM me for details.
  9. Moby Dick in space? Heavy handed preachy greenpeace social commentary incomming? Home planet of the whale probe? EDIT: After straining my eyes to read the tiny scroll on my cell phone apparently in this movie FTL travel is made possible from harvesting the eggs of space whales using forced/slave/prison labor... so yeah heavy handed preachy greenpeace social commentary it is! 5 bucks somebody says humanity was forced to leave the earth due to overpolution and destroying the enviroment in the first 5 minutes!
  10. That can't be legit.... Then again Brazzers did get in trouble for sneaking onto the BBC set to shoot a scene with the Tardis and dr who props, and gyanko does look like Madison Ivy but last I heard she was bed ridden recovering from a car accident that tore her stomach open. poor girl.
  11. I actually am going to address this at the begining of the panel, and the answer is no. There are so many games out there I had to narrow down the criteria to mecha with pilots, no robots or cyborgs, and focus of the majority of the game needs to be on mecha combat. games that have mecha for one or two levels, or like the mgs games that mostly have mecha in the background or as bosses I decided to cut. Does that make any sense?
  12. It was for the original xbox, and I think the reason it was never imported was the enemies were mostly US soldiers just following the Vice president not evil henchmen. I think companies might have been worried about that not sitting well. Anyways hows this for a hidden gem, Ring Of Red? A mecha tactical rpg set in an alternate 1950s Japan that was split between the soviets and americans. I liked the fact it account for combined arms with infantry supporting the mechs, but the battles took forever with the aiming mechanic.
  13. I forgot about R.A.D. despite owning it. I'm on mecha overload right now. already got cyberbots and armored warriors.
  14. got em already along with metal mech, formation z, final zone, xardion, battleclash, metal combat, and vortex. what are some good mech games from the 32-64 bit era aside from omega boost, armored core, and virtual on?
  15. alright guys I'm working on my video game mech panel for animeboston, and want to know if there's any video games you think are good, classics, guilty pleasures, or ground breaking that I should include. what I got so far. assault suits series metal warriors battletech games first macross game and scrambled valk first gundam game front mission thexder musha aleste
  16. Any word on a RG RGM-79 GM yet? One has got to be comming soon.
  17. Well I really did it this time. All four panels I submitted for Anime Boston got accepted. Coming AB2015 Kancolle:The weapons behind the women! I already know there's going to be another Kancolle panel dedicated to the anime and game. This one though is going to be about the historical ships they're based, the battles they fought, how they stack up to other navies ships, and the pacific naval campaign altogether. The Beargguy is a mobile suit from the Gundam Build Fighters anime. The Bruinsguy is a model kit of the Beargguy I'm doing a custom paint/decal job based on the Boston Bruins hockey team. Its something I've been meaning to do for a long time since before last years AB, but life and the rarity of the kit has been getting in the way so it might not be ready.
  18. So.... Batman doesn't win unless Superman saves his arse? Sure they make nice videos, but I've never liked Super Power Beatdown mostly because of how the winner is selected through voting popularity. At least Deathbattle uses logic and known facts about abilities to decide the winner. Lets face it this Vader vs Batman fight should have only lasted 30 seconds with Vader choking the b**** which is why they had to give Batman a lightsaber and toss Superman in too.
