  1. Holy crap! That's Boston! The Paul Revere statue, the gold dome of the state house, and the bombed out Prudential Center seal it. This is awesome! EDIT: Oh yeah, somebody also added rocket engines to the USS Constitution!
  2. That's exactly what the RE 100 line is supposed to be. HGUC levels of detail and skill on suits that otherwise wouldn't have made the cut as a MG.
  3. I was onboard the USS Massachusetts yesterday and it was interesting to note the tiny cracks that appeared in the inner barbette from the force of the guns firing.
  4. The B-25's from the movie Pearl Harbor annoy me. The ones used in the actual Doolittle raid were "B" models and didn't have the gunpods attached to the cockpits side untill the much later "G" model onwards. They also didn't have a tail gunner position. I can understand there not being any "B" variants still flying and needing to use a later model stand in, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that the movie used the historically nonexistant gunpods as part of the plot where redneck number 1 strafes the ground to save redneck number 2.
  5. You mean Expendables?
  6. OK that was mildly amusing although I get the feeling whoever made it only knows of the 80s by watching Nostalgia Critic and playing Farcry Blood Dragon.
  7. The question I have is why was this crap even in the film in the first place? What purpose did it serve?
  8. So what's this about an RGC-80 GM Cannon Master Grade? Where can I find one? Anyword on a HG release? Must. Collect. All. GM. Variants.
  9. I'm sorry but emo skate punk who thinks "With great power comes great responsibility" is something of a joke is not how I pictured Peter Parker.
  10. I honestly can't understand how anyone could say this film is pro feminism. Sure the plot revolves around a strong willed woman kicking ass, but often a lot that goes wrong in this for the protagonists is because a woman made a bad choice/does something stupid and Max has to be the one to bail them out of it.
  11. I was at the Great New England Airshow today and I got a question for those who know a lot about the Blue Angels. Before they took to the air the maintaince truck was parked in front of number five for about ten minutes after the other crews cleared their planes. When the truck finally left it was trailing a lot of smoke from the back like one of the planes canisters went off. Is that normal?
  12. Man you guys are being harsh. If anything that trailer reminds me a lot of the tone of the Linda Carter Wonder Woman series. Screw that dark and brooding crap Batman has forced on all of the DC universe this looks campy and fun, which is what a Superman/Woman/Girl series should embrace!
  13. The Y-Wing courtesy collectionDX http://www.collectiondx.com/news_item/51415/star_wars_172_scale_ywing_fighter_model_kit
  14. I think you'll be disappointed. Return of the Jedi and Little Pet Shop of Horrors allready came out in the 80s.
  15. While not a Yamato class I have been aboard both the USS Massachusetts and USS Wisconsin. Pictures alone don't do these ships justice. I get where you're coming from though. When I see something like a B-17 at an airshow which is impressive enough, I wonder what it must have been like to see a couple hundred of them flying in formation during the war.
  16. Well... Looks like my panel got uploaded to youtube. I know I'm going to regret it, but here it is for those that want to watch. And yes I'm aware I made some goofs that I'm still kicking myself for(stupid japanese subs looking alike). I hosted the panel early sunday morning on the third day of Anime Boston, after I had to get my car out of the police impound lot late saturday night so I'll chalk it up do that. I tried to keep it light hearted and attempted to avoid a massive info dump, while also cramming as much info that I could into the hour I had given to me. Unfortunately I had to cut off at Leyte Gulf and barely touch upon operation ten-go with Yamato. I welcome all feedback and don't be afraid to be critical. Its the only way I'll improve.
  17. YES!!!! After twenty something freaking years I've finally found out what number 2 is!!! While wikipedia helped with figuring out number 1 was Sea Prince And The Fire Child, I couldn't find anything on number 2 and the people/anime experts I described it to all looked at me like I was insane. They had good reason to since the show I was trying to describe wasn't actually a Japanese anime, but one of those crappy Korean knockoffs. I have to thank randomly clicking on one of Ben the Sage's Anime Abandon youtube videos for finally solving this anime riddle that's been nagging me for pretty much most of my life! Behold the shlock that is Diatron-5!
  18. Having watched both I found them pretty meh. I'm probly going to be able to watch Avengers Age Of Ultron again and at least get some enjoyment from it, but I really have no desire to see Ex Machina again.
  19. Kinda like how the Joker looks like a jugalow reject from an Insane Clown Posse rave?
  20. I highly recommend Venus Wars. Its a great scifi film that actually manages to put together a solid story with a pretty good ending, something that didn't happen that often in anime films from back then.
  21. That's why I think 3.33 was the end and there won't be another film. He sure is trolling domestic fans with the third one by blocking Funimation's release citing inaccurate dubs and choosing to redo them himself.
