  1. I’ve seen more than a few complaints about them and warnings from those that did the when these first appeared. It sounds like a great concept to have decals that don’t have an edge, but from my understanding things can easily go wrong and some have said it’s just easier using standard decals and then doing the usual to make the edges disappear
  2. If the buzz is true, he may be in for a real treat
  3. I haven’t used them personally, but from complaints I’ve heard is that they’re a bit thinner and could cause some issues while laying them down. I hear that they can actually dissolve if not top coated, not sure what the proper way is when certain paints are applied. I’ve heard that they take a lot more care when laying them down because a film can rip the actual decal.
  4. I think it’s comparing the alphabet key that comes with the regult kits for Zentradi and the key for Meltrandi that is included with the Queadluun Rau movie edition.
  5. Personally, I was sold the moment I saw the pictures. My experience with test building the Regult gave me the confidence that Hasegawa had learned a lot since their old Valkyrie kits and this kit looked so much more like the anime than any garage kit or the Yamato toys. I couldn’t help it and immediately preordered
  6. I think that’s the one thing that is interesting about the uc era is that both sides seemed kinda bad and they’ve made more interesting characters out of the Zeon characters than they did out of the feddies. Char for instance had a much more interesting story than Amuro. Bernie and his team were a bigger focal point in 0080. 0083 was another example of the Zeon being way more interesting, despite Cima selling out everyone. I don’t know if Thunderbolt counts, but I feel more sympathetic towards the Zeon and their pop music than the New York traffic sounds the feds tried to call music. 08th ms team had a more interesting story with the Zeon trying to escape the base with atrocities on both sides taking place. I think the focus on the Zeon will be fine and at the time of the end of the war might not be as ideal, they were mostly playing a waiting game til Axis could join up and that might make for a reasonable enough plot to keep things interesting
  7. that’s ok, I’m not super big on modern western drama
  8. I’m with you there. I think the big things I want to watch are Beavis and Butthead and the Southpark stuff that isn’t on Max. Beyond that they don’t really have anything that makes me feel like I’m missing out
  9. It does have some scenes in the preview where it was glitching through a wall and floating in the air for no reason. It’s probably just a horrible movie, really horrible movie, really really horrible movie, but the concept is kinda funny
  10. I saw this photo on taghobby. There weren’t any pics of different poses to see how odd the pants might look when moving the legs
  11. There sort of is a sequel coming. I think it was Cocaine Hippo or some other animal. I guess things can’t be as bad as the upcoming”Bad CGI Gator” movie. That’s the title not a description
  12. I haven’t been there in a bit since moving to Crestline. It’s about an hour away now. When I lived in Riverside I would go to Frank and Son’s quite often. There’s so much cool stuff there and I would tell myself that I’m just going to look. $200 bucks or so later I’d be wondering if I could still afford lunch after the trip.
  13. What if they package her with the armor off?
  14. Since the Imai is only 1/144, it would be really small compared to this one.
  15. Mr color has one as well. It’s just the last time I was trying to make the color the only thing available in clear was tamiya
  16. As long as you’re ok with bigger girls, it’ll be fine.
  17. I’ve been thinking about the timeline thing and honestly it makes more sense to have fury road as a reboot and it gives more time for these odd new civilizations to establish themselves. I do think it’s odd though that it felt more implied that fury road was a sequel taking place not long after Thunderdome and Thunderdome wasn’t too far after the collapse. But if you think of Fury Road as an all new thing it makes some sense, but really invalidates the origin for Mad Max. Mad Max was pretty much after a fuel crisis and economic breakdown. As far as Mad Max2 and Beyond Thunderdome it seemed the crisis at some point led to nuclear war since rule basically collapsed completely and the police sided with the scum around them. By the time of Thunderdome they were drinking irradiated water. But even then it must have only been a few years past since those kids were in a plane that crashed right around the time the war had started
  18. I’m sure swapping won’t be too big of an issue, but I just thought it might be cool to have a clear visor over the face. Even that isn’t necessarily impossible. I think the included visor might be too thick, but it might be possible to use it to mold a thinner clear one to place over it. Just gotta find a great clear purple to paint over it and it should be fine. for some reason clear purple doesn’t turn up as often. I remember trying to mix tamiya’s clear red and clear blue and I ended up with clear brown to a weird clear grey black from my results. I’m sure some other companies have a clear purple
  19. I actually had a different experience where they didn’t know Mad Max existed and only knew about The Road Warrior
  20. It could be due to oils or release agents on the surface. Some companies really go overboard with the stuff and it makes it tough for glues or paints or putties to stick.
  21. I would as well. I don’t like the skinny legged pumpkin head versions
