    I have my Revival Renweals (what a name) still sealed next to my desk... I'm looking forward to getting them open. The Yamato V2 1/60 VF-1 is quite a refined piece; it's hard for more complex toys to compete. If it had the metal feet and ball joints of the DX VF-1, I might still prefer the Yamato V2.

    Thanks for the positive feedback and for letting me know about the comment issue. A while ago the site was inundated with bot comments and I tried lots of methods of shutting them down but was unsuccessful. Maybe the plugins are better these days so I just flipped a switch to allow comments. I think each comment should go to a queue and require manual approval.

    If I was them, I'd be expecting limited sales so I would try to keep costs low and not include many extras. I'd make an add-on set to sell separately or include some items with a Dark Legioss to try to drive sales of that bird.

    This is all deja vu from years ago when Arcadia sold this exact same toy for the first time. Does anyone have the new and old Arcadia releases to compare to each other? I just checked my site and I said the red was basically the same as the Yamato so maybe that is a change from the first release.

    Really positive so far. You have the 1/48 Yamato long nosecone issue which comes with the territory. Are you going to be engineering all the joints and transformation mechanisms? I have lots of thoughts on engineering I've been wanting to work on in Fusion 360 but I never have any time

    Mine looks fine and it's been sitting in it's box with Styrofoam for 99% of it's life, just comes out for photo shoots. This one is definitely prone to yellowing though. It seems it only takes a little sunlight or heat to trigger it.

    Yamato sent out replacement wings on the first release when it was pointed out the navigation lights were wrong.

    Are you emailing them to inform them of the error or asking them to fix it? If the whole run has the error, there's not much they can do which may be why your being ignored.

    I guess it all depends on how ready for release it was. Since it doesn't look rough, I think it's very optimistic to hope they'll revisit it and make improvements based on what Hasegawa did. Then again, I don't see a lot of joint engineering there so maybe it was just a quick mock-up with more work to be done.

    Posted this: When I was transforming Bogue back to fighter mode I figured out what my problem with that toy was. The sliding forearm must have had some flash so it was only sliding like 90% of the range it was supposed to. I noticed the gaps on the one side were just a tiny bit worse than they were on the other side so... I did what you should never do with these expensive toys, I forced it and it was one of those rare occsasions where that was the right move. Now the forearm moves much more freely and gets all the way to the right position and my guns now both behave properly.
