  1. I wonder if there's metal in the feet to help it balance in slide positions.
  2. When is the lottery for the 1S? After the event?
  3. I love that wing engineering, very clever way to handle that!
  4. There are a lot of great video games that would make great animes.
  5. Bandai is so unpredictable, I wouldn't rule anything out. The only safe bet is that IF the 21 gets an HMR release, it won't be soon. Somewhere between the DX and the renewal DX 21 :D.
  6. I think you're remembering my ThreeZero Scopedog reviews, those were awful from a durability standpoint. The Yamato V1s had looseness and balance issues which could be frustrating. I love the mech and the original show, really looking forward to these!
  7. Bandai reading forums: Everyone complains the Yamato legs are too skinny. We must have fatter legs! Bandai reading forums: Everyone says our fatter legs have ruined the sillouette of fighter mode. No!!!!! I'm holding out hope that the handling experience on the DX YF-21 will be superb since there's no doubt we'll have plenty of visual aspects to nitpick. Hopefully it's not another Draken escapade.
  8. It's non scale, not 1/72 any more because it was too big. Close enough to 1/60 to alleviate that concern.
  9. I was thinking about your rage and so I humbly submit this edit: "Which every manufacturer says when selling toys to try to get a few more people to buy more of whatever toys with no real likelihood of moving on past that." Basically, don't get your hopes up for someone giving the only correct answer. This is the Robotech license, not Macross... gonna take a miracle to get more than an Alpha.
  10. Here, I'll put it back to you. Go to a convention and go to to a booth and say "hey, would you be interested in making more toys for this line?" And come back here and tell us how many said "no." Then, when they all say "you bet!", you can apologize for this little tantrum. EDIT - Okay, I promise I will stop engaging in this back and forth. Also, I'll give you a win, I said "EVERY" which literally means 100%. If you're argument is that it is less than 100%, and historically some have delivered, there is no doubt you're correct. It's semantics, the point remains that it's what a company would usually say at this point because it makes business sense and so there's no real value in the statement.
  11. When you have a threezero destroid, you come back here and say "told you so."
  12. Well I'm certainly not going to waste my time digging up every quote for you but if you wanna hang your hat on the idea that one or two manufacturers didn't hint an interview that they wanted to make more VFs, then I'll concede. The point is, it would be stupid for them to say anything different so don't get your hopes up. I look forward to your next contrarian post telling me that it would be stupid not to get your hopes up based on the stellar examples of every previous manufacturer delivering on the hopes they stated in interviews.
  13. Lol, if you don't remember interviews with manufacturers where they said "we would love to do more" then you're not trying.
  14. Which every manufacturer says when selling VF-1 toys to try to get a few more people to buy vf-1 toys with no real likelihood of moving on past that.
  15. Wow, fantastic stuff so far.
  16. Those are Yamato conversion parts.
  17. Keeping the live blog going. My Bogue was very askew out of the box. I transformed to GERWALK and fidgeted a ton with it (like I did Mirage) but there is no fixing the arm cannon. No matter what, it's angled down on the left side while perfectly flat on the right. Maybe it's a tiny bit of flash on the cannon itself that prevents it from being level as its rotated. Maybe they should have put a slot in the gun and a peg in the forearm so minor manufacturing tolerance issues could be overcome by locking the part in position. Both Mirage and Bogue have their wings tabbing firmly into the legs at least.
  18. When I first pulled out my Mirage toy, the arm cannons were definitely pointing askew of each other. After going to GERWALK and back to fighter and fiddling a lot with the arms, they now look like they're supposed to. I can't quite seat the rear tab completely to the wing housing, or both guns will point down, but I do have that tab mostly employed and it all looks good! Looking forward to doing the full photo shoot! Gonna try the same thing on Bogue next and then see if I can't make my Hayate first issue look decent. They should have made those arm cannons much smaller, as someone pointed out earlier, it really sucks trying to swoosh the toy around because there's such minimal space to put your hand comfortably.
  19. Are there any good 3D models of a Hovertank that could transform and look decent in all modes? I think that's where we need to start. Then maybe the STLs can be sold and people can build their own.
  20. Just pulling my 31AX toys out and wanted to thank you for this explanation. The first time I had it out, I dont' recall ever having slid the forearm parts... I don't think the instructions even mention that. Now to see if this sliding action is the reason why one of my guns on Bogue points down while the other side looks pretty respectable.
