  2. Posted this: When I was transforming Bogue back to fighter mode I figured out what my problem with that toy was. The sliding forearm must have had some flash so it was only sliding like 90% of the range it was supposed to. I noticed the gaps on the one side were just a tiny bit worse than they were on the other side so... I did what you should never do with these expensive toys, I forced it and it was one of those rare occsasions where that was the right move. Now the forearm moves much more freely and gets all the way to the right position and my guns now both behave properly.
  3. Really cool to see old 2D Mecha brought into the 3D space.
  4. What DX toys have they teased that we haven't received yet? 1) Hikaru DYRL VF-1A 2) Max DYRL VF-1A 3) Roy DRYL VF-1S Any other ones? Have they teased Hayao's TV 1A?

    Hi-Metal R

Bandai is so random... we got VF-1A Max TV and VF-1A Angelbirds in DX before Hi-Metal. How does that make sense??? Then they tease us with these toys that only make sense in Hi-Metal and never deliver! That Q-Rau looks like a finsihed product... it looks like it would be easy to pull the trigger.
  6. I wouldn't panic yet, might just be more reflective of the lighting so the camera is making it look a lot worse.
  7. Looking amazing. What scale are you printing it at?
  8. It seems very unlikely to me that the final product will have opaque canopies.
  9. Not broken from the look of it. It's blue tac, the peg that holds the arms against the back looks to not have sufficient friction to do it's job. Probably just a prototype fit issue, you can see the peg and slot. It's possible the peg is supposed to be longer but broke.
  10. Does it have a waist joint? Kinda looks like it there.
  11. Scales are too wonky for Zentraedi mecha... that was always a shortcoming of the show from a toy perspective. A Q-Rau is like 33% larger than VF-1 and the VF-1 toys were already considered large in their time. Maybe it would have worked as part of the 1/100 line and people could have just ignored that and played with them with their 1/55 VF-1 toys.

    1/55's revisited

I feel like this is one of those puzzles where you're told there are X differences between pictures that look identical and you have to find them all. I see someone must have complained that the toy wasn't made 100% of die cast so they had to add "Die cast / Plastic" at some point.

    1/55's revisited

Ah, there's the answer. Really fun pieces!

    1/55's revisited

Looking for them... as in you misplaced them or looking for them as you sought out the person that made them and was able to buy them?
  15. There are a few "slap level" design decisions in the 171 and I'm curious if they're going to address any in this reissue. At a minimum, one hopes they went back to the drawing board on the wings.
  16. It's not that much of a hindrance though because they can always reissue with a minor change like adding super parts or making a slight change to the mold.
  17. Probably coinciding with a revised VF-1 mold and all new reissues of every color.
  18. Maybe this is how Arcadia unloads the stock they held back to resolve customer service issues.
  19. I played about an hour of Alan Wake 2... as someone who almost never games (excluding Switch Zelda games) I was pretty amazed.
  20. Oh wow, I missed this before. Where was this image posted? When I finally get around to reviewing all these KC releases I'm going to have my work cut out for me on the 'version' side of things.
  21. I always have fun with Mad Max movies but I'm surprised we're revisiting someone instead of exploring something new.
  22. You don't HAVE to separate the legs, it's an option... though in practice it's often tougher to keep it in one piece than it is to separate it. Blame Kawamori though, the design for the VF-1 uses tiny struts that move the legs where they need to be and then disconnect.
  23. I wish they gave the LV pale blue accents like the Yamato 1/48.
