This looks quite good, but I'm waiting for Iconiq to reveal their version. I read Iconiq delayed the release to correct body proportions. -

It's been so long since this set was started that I forgot who is left. Fireflight and Slingshot, right? I'm hoping their Blitzwing will be released before the next eclipse.- 9275 replies

I still prefer Ronin and its bombastic alt mode, but it's hard to turn down a humble, transformable Trueno.- 9275 replies

Just wanted to pass the word: if you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they have a 40% off sale with their models including Gunpla. I scored a MG 3.0 RX-78 for 30 bucks. Gunpla is scarce in my area, so I consider it a win.

Godzilla x Kong: Supernova - March 26, 2027
Valkyrie Hunter D replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
My 8 yr old boys loved watching this on the big screen, although they did get scared by the Alien Romulus trailer. Watching them during the big fight scenes reminded me of myself when I saw the classic kaiju movies of yore for the first time. And that's enough for me to like this movie. -
The Legend of Zelda Live Action Movie

Yeah, at this point there's more than few settings to get into: medieval urban, post apocalyptic, ocean island nations, and even a mulitiverse route to choose from. I just want them to work in scene where Link rushes into an occupied house and breaks every vase in sight. -
I would prefer to see Link's adventures in animated form but we'll see how this turns out.

This is waaay late, but I can't help but be reminded of Aurail:

Mr. Woodhead's latest update: "We have received most of the raw film transfers from Japan (just a few minor elements yet to come) and the work of massaging them has begun. We've also received almost all of the artwork and settei and are assembling them into the artbook. First drafts of the subtitles will be going out to the proofreading team early next month. In other news, Natsumi is currently in Japan and is meeting Mikimoto-sensei at an undisclosed location to discuss the new Macross II artwork." It's slowly coming together.

Macross Shooting Insight for Switch, PS4 and Steam
Valkyrie Hunter D replied to Convectuoso's topic in Games
After some scares with Amazon JP (I got a couple of messages saying the game can't be shipped out of Japan), they came through and it arrived today. It's disappointing that the latest Macross game is just a two dimensional shooter, but it's better than no Macross game I guess. -

McDonald's is taking the ball with WcDonald's and running with it. I don't advocate fast food very much, but the new ginger sauce for the nuggets is tasty.

I thought it was sweet that Toriyama had a message to his children in one of the endings of Chrono Trigger:
-
Toriyama died a legend. The entire world knows Dragon Ball Z, inspring fight scenes even in Hollywood. His work on Dragon Quest helped create the JRPG genre and his mechanical designs are timeless. His works will continue to inspire. R.I.P.

I got this one a couple of months ago from Brickmania and just completed it today: It makes for a solid Huey toy and the printed markings are superb. Although I did reduce the mass on the rudder and made the tail boom a little thicker. The guns and rockets are custom parts Brickmania included in the kit. The minifig aircrew is quite notable. Brickmania doesn't explicity say it, but the crew is a crack commando unit that will later be sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men would promptly escape from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. They'll be wanted by the government, and survive as soldiers of fortune. And if there was any doubt: The cherry on top for me is the extra, printed sedated face:

That Batman cape looks like a huge improvement over the multi-piece ball jointed one on their last Batman figure.
