  1. Nah, Phone Booth had a completely different story that was more of a suspense thriller. La Cabina is more like a Twilight Zone episode.
  2. I recommend Thumper. It's a violent, rhythm based game and if I try to describe the premise, it'd sound like I was tripping nuts. It's like a mix of S.T.U.N. Runner and Guitar Hero.
  3. Weird, I was just reminiscing about this short film when I found the whole thing is on Youtube: I was just a small boy when I saw this, and it really stuck with me. I could sworn it was a lot longer too. Anyway, it's worth a watch, and you don't even need to know Spanish to know what's going on.
  4. I bought mine on the Nintendo JP eShop. I found the game under the new release section.
  5. Imagine my surprise in seeing there's an actual ending scene to SDF Macross. I just needed to go through all the stages twice. Whenever I played it in the arcade, I never continued the game after going all the levels once. The second time around is no joke though, I think I went through 10 bucks worth of lives.
  6. Call me old fashioned, but I am still perfectly content with my Maketoys Utopia for a Metroplex. Still waiting for a Trypticon to tickle my fancy.
  7. Pretty cool tribute for the 40th anniversary - I liked seeing the Prime gang in anime form.
  8. Studio TRIGGER may have something in store for TF fans:
  9. Just released a couple of days ago for home consoles, apparently the SDF Macross arcade game has had massive British exposure.
  10. Yep, and my boys still like playing it too even though the graphics look "blocky" While I haven't downloaded this game for the PS5, I would bet that this game will play on a PS5. I have a JP Playstation account and was able to play downloaded JP games on the PS4, so I'm gonna guess the same can happen for the PS5. The PS4 and PS5 are region locked for movies, not for games. On a side note, the Macross II arcade game will be released in the same fashion as SDF Macross.
  11. This method works like a charm. The JP eShop wouldn't accept my American VISA or Paypal. PlayAsia seems to be the place to buy a JP eShop card.
  12. It's like a Macross themed nightmare.
  13. The latest update gave a sneak peek at the of the package art for the Macross II Alus Edition:
  14. Nah, merely curious, but I do appreciate the guy's commitment to research.
  15. I always wondered what the results would be like, but another gunpla fan beat me to it 3 years ago: dipping your whole assembled gunpla in Pledge.
  16. I've been building my own Speed Champions lately, finishing up a couple of legends of LeMans - the venerable Porsche 962c and the revolutionary Mazda 787b: These original designs by SFH Bricks and custom decals make these builds on par with the Speed Champions line, which makes me glad I don't have to wait for LEGO to make their official versions. The decals are quite well done. They even have some for the minifig drivers: I fallen down deep into the rabbit hole with 8-stud wide builds of fine autos. More to come!
  17. Coincidentally (or maybe not), the base game is currently on sale with an 80% discount on Steam.
  18. I gotta catch up with this show. What I saw was funny, but I didn't think it would go past a third season.
  19. New free racing game for your Atari STE: A real nice looking labor of love.
  20. I'm sooo down for the Armored Core episode.
  21. As I promised in the Recent General Toy Purchase thread, allow me to share a few pics of the Chogokin Sazabi: My initial thought upon freeing it from its styrofoam confines was what a hefty unit this toy is! Most of the bulk is centered in the lower half with the metal thighs and inner feet. I also noted how there were four different shades of red used. I personally would have preferred it to be all colored with the metallic red used in the shoulders and chest. As it is, the plain red plastic parts clash with metallic red areas. Lots of crisply printed white trim to be found. Although my preference is to delete most of them. The light gimmick is powered by three watch batteries discreetly stored in the back. The green lights are quite bright, especially the one on the forehead: Articulation is right on par with the RG kit version. However, due to the wiring needed for the lights, the head cannot look as far down or up as I'd like. Racheted joints at the shoulders, hips, and knees are sturdy enough to allow poses to hold firm despite the weight of the limbs: Despite my few complaints, this Sazabi is a great piece, no regrets here.
  22. That design is certainly different. It's not off putting enough for me to shut it out completely. It really does look like a marriage of the RX-78 and an EVA. I'm digging the way the head looks, but the name sucks though.
