  1. Thanks gents! And Bolt, in your quest for cool kits, also check out an offshoot of the 30MM line, the 30 Minutes Fantasy kits. Instead of mecha, 30MF kits use classes of fantasy characters like warriors, knights, and mages. I didn't pay much attention to them until I saw one on sale and bought it on a lark: This guy is whole head taller than the completed 30MM mech at around 6 inches, and would be in good company with the average 1/12 scale action figure. I had fun building this "Rosan Fighter", and it's given me good practice with panel lining. Gotta love the dad bod on this guy.
  2. Time for some necromancy. I've been recently gifted with a tall stack of 30mm kits; a friend is reducing his backlog and is in turn increasing mine. The 30mm line has been steadily growing for the past few years and some of the custom designs I've seen from the huge selection of available parts look outstanding. I opened up a couple of kits and started playing around with them: The head is from the Kotobukiya Modeling Goods line, and I still have to paint it. I had to do some mods to make it work though, Koto's heads attach differently than the stock 30mm heads. I totally dig this head, it looks like something from a 90's arcade game. I think I'm a 30mm fan now .
  3. That area is just rife with shops like that. For the past few Thanksgiving holidays, we've been visiting family over there and the Black Friday sales I run into always end up with me with a full loot bag - good times!
  4. Great show, I just can't get past one thing: Otherwise, I was riveted and I like how the main themes from the novel were kept intact.
  5. Robot 4 Less might restock it. I've been a customer of theirs online and at their shop in Fullerton - no complaints whatsoever. Aliexpress has a few vendors selling it as well for a considerably cheaper price, but I haven't dealt with them.
  6. If I was a cheesehead, I'd be all over this thing. If ever a red one is released with gold trim, it just might make the 49er fan in me fork out the cash. Takara must have a lot of faith in the first release.
  7. I dunno, I love Mospeada mecha, but the forward swept wing Legioss with a strap-on radar dish, decked out in Greenbay Packer colors is not making me sing Lonely Soldier Boy. It's such a weird choice for a first release, but I truly hope this line takes off.
  8. FAT CAT released an upscaled Real Grade God Gundam to 1/100 scale, along with some effect parts that are seen in the RG's Expansion Set (sadly, no horse): The original Master Grade needs a 2.0 upgrade, and this may just fit the bill.
  9. For the 30th anniversary of Front Mission, is Kotobukiya going to release a definitive Zenith wanzer figure? Nope, they are going to imagine it as big-boobied blonde anime chick :
  10. I cannot recommend the Entry Grade kits enough to anyone who wants to get into gunpla. The parts can simply be pushed off the sprues and the color separation is nice. I built the Nu which looks great right out of the box. It just doesn't have the fin funnels though.
  11. Exclusive Pizza Hut China Gundam Universe figures: I would love for Gundam collaborations like this to hit the US. I would totally buy a Waffle House Master Gundam.
  12. Getting back into gunpla with an out of the box build to get my feet wet. RG Aile Strike is fun to pose with just a couple of finnicky spots. Gotta love the engineering on this kit.
  13. Cobb was huge in the 80's, I think he was responsible for the mecha designs in Robot Jox: You can see more of conceptual art on his website.
  14. The arena is great for quick credits and to see updated renditions of wanzers of the main characters from previous FM games. The survival simulator was quite a time bandit for me. The are wanzer variant parts and weapons that can only found in there. What sucks is that they cannot be used in a "Hard" mode playthrough, IIRC.
  15. With the way things are going, yours is the better path to enjoy FM5.
  16. Man, I still remember him in Sidekicks. R.I.P. Mr. Gerard.
  17. If you enjoyed the past 4 mainline games FM5 will be a huge treat. More cameos to come.
  18. No need for a flight stick to effectively play AC. Maybe you just have to play around with the different control configurations and find the best one for you. You could also try to change the sensitivity of the sticks themselves.
  19. As long as Bamco doesn't treat the F-4 as DLC again, I'll be good.
  20. Just a heads up - Virtual On Masterpiece is on sale for less than $10 in the Playstation Store right now. You get three games in the Masterpiece package: the original Virtual On, VO Oratario Tangram, and VO Force. It's a PS4 game, but it plays just fine on a PS5. It's a steal IMO, but you will need a Japanese PS account to buy it.
  21. I hope it won't be taken apart and then sold for scrap within a month.
