  1. Yup, DX9 slightly up scaled KO. Quick and dirty with MS Swipe and Trailbreaker, also Hot Soldiers Soundwave. I'll be getting MFT shiny Megatron soon and he'll be my legends Megs, Newage looks good, but they're a bit small for my taste, except their Bee, he was spot on for me.
  2. Those are excellent figures too, I have an original NECA all red head band comic set, best Eastman and Laird comic turtles figures you can get IMO. Nothing against liking the comic versions more then these, I can't really say which incarnation of the turtles are my favorite, I'm just happy to have nice figures of their various appearances, I've got a lot of turtles.
  3. The NECA turtles in a half shell arrived, and these are indisputably some of the finest turtles figures ever made. Even if you're a crazy person, from crazytown and you're on crazy pills and you somehow didn't like the first two live action turtles films, these figures are undeniably amazing, detailed, and incredibly well made. Highly recommended, get a set before they're gone if you're on the fence.
  4. I'll definitely be getting all five MFT legends scale dinos, they look great, I love the gold instead of the yellow on the original DX9 figures, plus the scale is better. I needed some legends scale seeker action so I got the MFT seekers. I really only wanted the main season 1 seekers, I always thought the cone heads were lame, but I couldn't find just Starscream and his compatriots so I settled for a bundle of both seeker sets, for $75 shipped I can't complain. Highly recommended, really nice little figures for a good price, and no real QC issues to speak of. They're not perfect, but they look good and are solid overall, so works for me.
  5. Yeah I don't want to beat a dead horse, I've voiced my displeasure with the official Takara G1 line, but this Bee looks just plain terrible, and that price is insane. But then Black Arachnia looks incredible, and I'm wondering where her spider alt mode is hiding, and what magic will take place to hide her hands since those lobster claws are supposed to become the spider alt mode mandibles.
  6. I did, my bad, 13,000 confirmed, about $110usd.
  7. Yeah it appears that leak about MP-45 I mentioned above was correct, Bumblebee 2.0. He looks really, really bad honestly, and 130,000yen confirmed, Takara is crazy. MP-46 Black Arachnia looks INCREDIBLE. Damn, Takara knocked her out of the park, she is a must buy, no matter the cost, she looks amazing. This works for me, my MP G1 collection is complete, so Takara can just keep the beautiful Beast Wars MPs coming. Also, MP Hound was delayed, maybe he'll be MP-47?
  8. I absolutely am. Mine are paid, I got the Gamestop.com update about a week ago so they should be on the way soon. I missed the SDCC set, so yes, I definitely had to get these and I can't wait to get them in. Now I'm just hoping we get the foot soldiers and Shredder shrunk down to this scale as well. I'd buy a Shredder and at least 8 foot soldiers.
  9. So from what I'm reading, MP-45 is supposedly MP Bumblebee 2.0? Not even MP Hound for MP-45? That's quite lame if true, but once again, I get it, it will sell, and Takara is absolutely NOT out to complete anyone's MP crew, just to make money. So now lots of folks are wondering if Takara will go chibi for the alt mode, fully leaving real world alt modes behind in favor of once again, toon accuracy. If this is true it's a blatantly easy pass for me, MP Bee is fine as is, not the best MP and he has room for improvement, but not a rumored 130,000yen worth of improvement. I'm sure he'll have some neat engineering, and will be much cleaner and not have gaps in his forearms like the current MP Bee, but I'm not even bothering with the + repaints, so making even more 2.0 MPs is not something I would show the slightest amount of interest in. I just want some new MP Beast Wars news at this point, Takara is spinning their wheels with the G1 MP stuff at this point.
  10. Got more stuff in. I broke my no Mafex rule after several years, I really liked Kingsman though so I had to get Eggsy and Harry. I've been on a board/table top game kick lately, I picked up Fallout and the New California expansion by Fantasy Flight Games. Highly recommended, like everything else by FFG, it's nicely paced, and a fantastic translation of the Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas experience in table top form.
  11. Sorry for the late reply, I got mine from TF-Direct, about $90 shipped and I received it within 5 days, which is crazy, I didn't even pay for premium shipping. They may be sold out, from what I've read the first run of this figure is selling out, but there will be a second run and a lot of sites will or already have, opened pre-orders for the second run. If you are in the US, Chosen Prime has him for pre-order as well, but it's got a mark up on it due to them having to import the figure themselves, they were almost not going to carry it until fan demand got them to order some in.
  12. Got this over a week ago but forgot to post, new Masterpiece Optimus, third party by Transform Element. MP-10 was the gold standard for Masterpiece Optimus, but is quite dated at this point, so an upgrade was needed. Takara is indeed doing their own official V3 Optimus, but I don't think it's a very attractive package for $300+. This thing is VERY solid, and full of ratchets, very well made, I'm incredibly impressed, moreso considering this is this companies first figure. Also, only about $90 shipped, an excellent deal.
  13. I recently got really into the board/tabletop game SCYTHE after playing several times at a friend's house, I even borrowed his base game for a weekend. Absolutely brilliant game, with beautiful art, it even has an automa deck for single player play. I got REALLY into too, base game, all three expansions, legendary box, game board extension, and the realistic metal coins and realistic resource tokens. Highly recommended, not overly complicated, and a full game can be enjoyed in under two hours, lots of interesting gameplay mechanics, it's all about posturing and strategy :).
  14. Got more Transformers third party G1 legends figures, and a few figuarts. Hulk is absolutely worth the hype, brilliant figure, probably the single nicest roughly 1/12 Hulk figure you can get.
  15. You gotta get MS Trailbreaker and Huff, holy crap, those are seriously two brilliant little figures. Huff is undeniably a mini MP, his transformation is fun and intuitive, and he just looks amazing in both modes. Trailbreaker caught some flak on a handful of reviews on Youtube because some reviewers didn't bother to mess with the figure beforehand. He has a bit of his transformation where the front end of the truck slides forward on a little slider, the screw holding the slider in was VERY loose, which made his torso floppy, 15 seconds later with a small phillips head screwdriver and he's seriously one of the nicest G1 style Trailbreaker figures on the market, I'd even say he's overall more impressive then any of the third party MP options. I'm bummed on Hot Soldiers Bee, I should've paid more attention but he's WAY too big for my liking, especially compared to MS Huff, who is also a mini-bot, HS Bee is a giant. I already have Hot Soldiers CJ and Hubcap coming in today, I will still open and mess with them, but I doubt I will keep them out and display them, they are WAY too big. Which is odd, my Sky Pillar is HS, so he should scale with Bee from the same company, but I would say he really doesn't, he doesn't even fit in the trailer as well as the MS figures, Huff and TB fit in perfectly. I went ahead and ordered a Newage Flipper, aka their take on legends G1 Bee. Looking at photos and videos, he will be slight,y smaller then MS Huff, which is perfect, but there's no CJ mold mate for him which is a bummer. I only want G1 season 1 for this little legends collection, so I'll be passing on several MS releases, but there's zero denying they may be the current king of G1 style legends figures, holy crap. Newage has a beautiful G1 Prowl on the way, but MS is also making all three Datsuns. From what you've said, you may want to check out Newage Prowl then look into MS for Bluestreak and Smokescreen. Also, Toyworld has a G1 Jazz on the way, and their incredible looking G1 Wheeljack Whisky Jack has a second run on pre-order now. These legends figures are brilliant, I thought I was done with Transformers since I finished up what I wanted for MP, but these amazing little figures have pulled me right back in.
  16. I have a pretty vast MP collection containing official and third party, even MP combiners and Omega Supreme, I never intended on adding more to that collection or adding another scale, but I did too much reading and research and made some new purchases. I accidentally went down the third party legends scale rabbit hole, now I think I need season 1 G1 Autobots in legends scale. I had no idea a lot of this engineering could be done at this scale, a lot of these are like little mini MP figures. I have more on the way from two different sites, I bought 8 or 9 Autobots and have my eyes on even more.
  17. I read about MS Optimus but he's going to be a bit too small for me, and I can't believe I'm being a scale guy over legends, but I am. Hot Soldiers Optimus is a bit taller, which works for me. I was torn between NewAge and Hot Soldiers for Bee, but since Hot Soldiers is the only one with a CJ out, I wanted Bee to mirror him as much as possible. Came home to my first legends haul from ChosenPrime, Sky Pillar is FANTASTIC. His waist joint is a bit weird, but other then that he's seriously just a mini MP G1 Optimus, or a mini MS-01, he even has a matrix and chamber at this scale, plus his trailer can actually hold legends carbots. I've got two more packages coming in, I had to buy a few figures here and there since stock on legends stuff, when it's good, seems to go quick. I've got BBTS and TFSource sending me some stuff too, I need the van bros, plus my Sideswipe and CJ, and I guess since it was a two pack, Hubcap as well.
  18. Wow, what are the odds? I was skimming TFW2005 for more shots of TE-01, and I came across the Hot Soldiers Sky Pillar/G1 Optimus thread, and was honestly pretty blown away by what I saw. Long story short, about three hours later, I found myself with over a half a dozen random G1 style legends figures on the way... Magic Square Sideswipe, Magic Square Trailbreaker, Magic Square Huff, Hot Soldiers Optimus, Hot Soldiers Hubcap and Cliffjumper, Hot Soldiers Bumblebee, and lastly Hot Soldiers Ironhide and Ratchet. And that was all on a whim, the figures just looked really good, and not being MP, there's no MP circle jerk to speak of, just mostly scale arguments. I was once again quite baffled at how amazing a lot of these figures look, I knew third parties had been doing legends for a while now, but I was always just another boring MP only guy so I never bothered to look into any of it. I'm still just being boring and looking at G1 stuff only, but damn, a lot of these look like mini MP figures, they look fantastic. I've been eye balling, and will probably order, MFT shiny Megatron, and Toyworld legends G1 Wheeljack, AKA Whiskey Jack, he looks insane for a legends figure, totally a mini MP.
  19. I could watch Keanu Reeves chuck assault rifles at mother frakkers like hatchets EVERY day for the rest of my life, plus he kills a dude with a book. Please sir, may I have some more John Wick?
  20. Over the last several years I've had a number of friends get interested in 3P Transformers, some asked about legends scale, which I couldn't help with, and MP, which I absolutely could. I am usually hard pressed to recommend 3P carbots, for many, they never look QUITE right, and always seem a bit off somehow, so my go to for recommendations is Dinobots. Always Dinobots, glorious Dinobots. You can't go wrong with Giga of FansToys, they both made damn fine, quality figures. And for me, they both stand as perfect examples of what 3P MP can do, they are pretty spot on for QC, imposing and huge, they hit the nostalgia hard for either fans of them in the toon or the original G1 toys, they're properly scaled, both companies put out premium finishes, and both sets of dinos have some fantastic engineering. The other big point? Compared to some 3P carbots these days, their transformations are EASY AND FUN, there's nothing really difficult on any dino from either company, you can transform them up on a whim just for fun. They're expensive, yes, but getting one in hand you pretty much immediately fall in love, they're big, well made, and fun, they usually always become center pieces for an Autobot display. On a side note, TE-01 will be here Friday.... I'm looking forward to an MS-01 review by mikeszekely. I do want to check out MS-01, but not as Optimus, I'm waiting on the inevitable white Magnus repaint, I think the thick, more blocky look will work for that just fine. Conversely, I feel TE-01 should make a Prime with chrome instead of silver paint, grey hips, add the cab stripe, yellow eyes, and call it a "toy" inspired TE-01. Then again I would also kind of be interested in an MS-01 in the "toon" colors, white legs, no cab strip, etc.
  21. Heavy breathing... He's almost ready, and hot damn does he look handsome. Honestly? That face looks fine. I'll gladly put in my request and pay $5 for shipping when the second head releases, but that final production head doesn't look bad at all. The legs are beautiful, he hides the windshield wipers, he has white legs, no truck cab stripe, this thing look gorgeous. TFW2005 is flooded with MS-01 pics as well, another fine looking Prime, but just not for me.
  22. Yeah I guess you're right, for further clarification, if you beat the demo and get to the cut scene you can play it again, if you time out your demo you will be locked out. January 25th. For me, RE2 will take precedent over Kingdom Hearts 3, which I will get to eventually, I'm 90 hours in to AC Odyssey and I still have a ton to do, but will gladly put that down for RE2.
  23. Resident Evil 2 Remake demo is out today, one shot and timed, which is odd. You get 30 minutes, and can only play it once. Capcom REALLY wants people to pre-order, which I did already, RE2 is still my favorite Resident Evil to this day, and the Remake looks absolutely phenomenal, absolutely what I wanted and expected from it, so they already got my money long ago. Started my download this morning before leaving for work, will fire it up and check it out when I get home later.

    Hi-Metal R

That's the exclusive release, the standard is a blue sailor's uniform, I'd know, I bought both, excellent figures :).
  25. They both definitely will, it's just a matter of time. TE-01s second run will supposedly come with a second, non transforming head, but for those that bought the first run we will be able to just contact our supplier to get one for free when it releases. These two figures weren't really available at most US sites that normally carry third party, it seems a lot of retailers figured most folks would go with MP-44 and call it a day, The Chosen Prime had both available, Toy Dojo as well. Both those sites are looking to be out of most of their original batches, you can check some non US based sites, TF-Direct is reliable. From what I've read, second runs of MS-01 might not come with his second head, that seems to be a first run bonus only, but that could change. As of now, ToyDojo has both MS and TE 01 on pre-order, slightly marked up due to being US sites. https://www.toydojo.com/
