  1. Wow yeah I've definitely decided, it's TE for me, this thing looks gorgeous. That back shot is definitely something, TT certainly didn't strive for toon accuracy there did they? Once again, bullshit electronics jacked the price up and messed up the backpack for poor MP-44, also, a bunch of dumb accessories hardly anyone will bother with. It looks like MP-44 is about to tip over holding all that backpack up :).
  2. I really love mine too, but it makes me so much more torn on Mezco. When they mess up, it sucks, they've got hefty price tags on these figures, but when they nail a figure, damnit if they don't REALLY nail it. This Iron Man is pretty fantastic, and I'm a bit pissed now I never bothered trying to track down the repaint.
  3. I read that TE Optimus has no thigh swivel due to transformation, the swivel is just above the knee joint, that will work, but it looks awkward as all hell. Bit of a bummer there, but I also read TE has another, non transforming head they plan on selling at a later date that is "better", what that entails I don't really know, more toon accurate? Better proportioned? The head is easily the weakest part on TE, so color me interested. Non transforming is once again a bummer, you will have to pop it on and remove it each time you transform the figure, PARTSFORMING!!11!!!11!1! I think I'm in for TE, better alt mode, and I'm not a fan of the super boxy look of MS.
  4. If push came to shove, I'm in for TE, that things looks good. That said, they all look like fine Optimus upgrade options, but MP-44 is definitely my least favorite looking, and that price tag is still absurd even at the $300+ Amazon Japan has it at. I'm probably going to go with TE and hope for a head upgrade, I love basically everything on the TE Optimus EXCEPT the head sculpt, that is undeniably the weak point. Honestly? These comparisons do little to help MP-44 IMO, I know plenty will buy it and enjoy it, I just can't see myself ever saying that is the DEFINITIVE Optimus upgrade, these two look fantastic as well, plus, no ridiculous price tag due to a bunch of optional parts and crap I don't want.
  5. I pre-ordered a MakeToys Stealthwing to go with my Striker Noir, I think they'll look pretty fantastic together. That said, I REALLY like the look of the premium Striker Manus, I may get him too and bump my Stealthwing order to two, one for each Striker.
  6. My only real hang up of the final season was indeed, What's all this talk of wokeness killing the show?
  7. Can't really say myself, the only other ThreeZero figures I have are the three Breaking Bad releases, and those are just basic 1/6 human body figures. I don't think diecast is always necessary, it depends on the figure really, as long as the overall quality and detail is there the figure should speak for itself. Especially with 1/6, once again, depending on the character, at 1/6 things get big and heavy enough as is. That said, this figure itself is quite excellent, there seems to be diecast in the frame since it doesn't use a standard 1/6 body, and I thoroughly looked over the figure for paint issues and didn't see anything. He weighs a ton, he's got a big, custom 1/6 body frame with some diecast throughout it and his suit is thick painted plastic. Only issue I've found is that his drill is a bit soft, the paint doesn't come off but it's a bit spongy to the touch. Little sister is just a custom little 1/6 figure, nicely detailed and articulated. I think the Fallout 1/6 power armors had diecast, I can't verify since I haven't looked at reviews and don't own one. Like I said I think diecast use really depends on the figure/character, and I think ThreeZero has used it as necessary depending on the release. As for quality? Anything 1/6 or at this price range is always something you should look into and research before purchase.
  8. Got a few Christmas gifts, ThreeZero 1/6 Big Daddy is definitely the highlight. Bioshock was easily one of the best games of the last generation, and one of my favorite games ever, had to get this guy, it's beautiful and very well made.
  9. I love Sphinx, I got him and Badcube Sunsurge in one package, my first two third party MP Transformers ever, they let me know, loud and clear, what companies other then Takara could do with MP. Agreed on most points Scyla, especially considering he released when Takara was getting clearly more toon centric, less real world detail on alt modes, Sphinx was a breath of fresh air, paint, die-cast used intelligently, rubber, his aesthetic was, for me, pretty much spot on. I put a Autobot logo on him and Sunsurge and they both put HUGE smiles on my face, I had a hard time getting rid of Sunsurge for the official Streaker, I loved it so much, IF Takara gets to Mirage, once again, that will be a hard decision for me, Takara's will probably be too plain and toon accurate, which is why I'm passing on their Hound. In other news, Striker Noir arrived at work today, JUST in time for Christmas, and damn, this is one badass little Optimus figure! I love it! I've been pretty boring as far as Transformers are concerned, it's been G1 MP only, but I've always ooed and awed at the many, many other figures out there that went for a different aesthetic than G1, and other more manageable scales then MP. I love this guy, very fun and intuitive transformation, the bot mode is striking and heroic, and it's caught some flack, but I really like the alt mode. Like most other Optimus figures in history, when you swing his arms out from underneath the cab windows, it always puts a smile on my face, and this guy was not different, brilliant little figure. I was looking for add-ons and found some kind of combiner wars add-on for Manus, but my question, is there a trailer on the way for Noir or Manus? That would really complete the figure for me. I mean, I love it as is, but some kind of add-on would be awesome.
  10. A fairly old thread, but if anything that should maybe go here. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/45523-teen-titans-tv-series/?tab=comments#comment-1392503 Doom Patrol is DC Universe, not CW-DC, they are a spin-off from the super gritty and dark Titans series on DC Universe streaming service.
  11. TWE items like this are made to order, and pay up front, they don't sell out and there's no pre-order madness, the pre-order will just eventually close and then orders placed and paid will be filled and shipped when the product arrives.
  12. Looks like MakeToys Coneheads and wing fillers for the original three seekers are up for pre-order. The Coneheads look good, much better then the awful Takara ones, but I really don't like the Coneheads, I've always thought they were kind of lame, so a pass for me. That said, they come with a "bonus", which is each one comes with one wing filler set for one of the original seekers, I just went ahead and pre-ordered the wing fillers for each seeker separately, at only about $10 per set, I can do that all day, they look good.
  13. Haven't posted a recent purchase here in quite some time, I'm way behind. Got these in today. Our dearly departed Princess Leia is quite fantastic, she looks the part and is about as articulated as you'd expect. Gx-24r is awesome, SoC rarely disappoint.
  14. Wow, that new Vegeta from the DB Super Broly movie really came and went fast. BBTS had it, but the pre-order is already sold out, TWE in Japan so NY and the like should have it. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/85229
  15. My bad, Striker Noir, I didn't even notice they dropped the Manus for Noir for that release. I'm excited, I can admit I'm not too familiar with this version of Convoy/Prime, but it looks like a damn fun and well made toy that has received a ton of praise, I'm excited, it'll be here in time for Christmas too.
  16. Damn I didn't know that was a thing, thank you sir. That said, I am REALLY feeling the Nemesis version in particular, Prime always looked good in black.
  17. Damn, there's another %15 off toys and games Ebay coupon today, I said I wouldn't, but now I may have to pull the trigger on Striker Manus....
  18. It was confirmed by John C. Reilley's character in Skull Island that Kong was still a "juvenile", and still had plenty of growing to do. That movie taking place in the 70s, and presumably, Godzilla V Kong will take place whenever the movie actually releases, probably 2021 or so, Kong will have grown plenty big enough to tussle with the Big G. Also, that will be a MASSIVE Kong, like, damn, Kong has never been anywhere near that big. I guess Toho Kong was pretty big, but once again, not that big. That's gotta be Kumonga rising out of the ground with the huge insect legs, and the mountain? I'm sure fans would HOPE for Anguirus, but if they're going with C listers for little cameos, maybe Baragon? Either way, that kaiju rising out of the mountain is huge as well, hot damn with these scales, these titans really live up to their names. Also, Mothra DOES have blue eyes and does in fact, look quite cute and cuddly. She does to me at least. Fantastic design once again, holy crap I am excited for this movie!
  19. I'm still not fully convinced it's Mothra, pausing the shot, the legs coming out of the ground seem to have far more spines on them, Mothra's legs are quite smooth and streamlined. I think we may see a few quick cameo appearances at either the beginning or the end of the movie mentioning other "titans" that exist, and they will probably be more C list monsters then anyone with real notoriety, monsters that are easier to get the license for. My money is still on Kumonga, the spider. Then again, there is also Kamacuras, which is a massive praying mantis. The scale will follow all the other MonsterArts figures, the whole MonsterArts line is in scale with itself, if that makes sense. All these new King of the Monsters MonsterArts figures will be pretty damn big, everything in this movie is bigger then 90% of the previous Toho releases from Showa, Heisei, etc. Godzilla from Shin and the Netflix series are MASSIVE compared to most other figures in the line, which is in scale, those versions of Godzilla are huge. I'm sure this new Ghidorah will be the biggest MonsterArt figure yet, the shot in the newest trailer shows him really sizing up Godzilla, and it doesn't look too good for Godzilla.
  20. Wow, that was a fun episode, this has been my favorite crossover so far, less clutter, there's not, like, 40 characters running around. I think Ruby Rose did a very solid job as Batwoman, there was a lot of ground to cover this episode and it was NEVER going to have the amount of Batwoman people wanted, but what we saw worked. I think her accent was a bit off at times, but nothing she can't polish up if Batwoman gets a green light from CW. Glossing over her tattoos was fine, they aren't going anywhere, and can't be covered every episode, also, did Kara kind of perv on Kate with her x-ray vision? All the Batman talk was funny, the hour was nearly dedicated to bagging on Ollie for being a less effective, less badass Batman. When Barry said he'd never compare himself to a badass like Batman, as Ollie/Green Arrow, I cracked a big smile.
  21. This is too much common sense, it's easier to bitch and whine about perceived slights against, humanity I guess? As you said, Godzilla has always been about allegory and human mumbo jumbo about us being the disease, this is absolutely nothing new. I'm saddened but not surprised, like Lex Luthor said, " Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story. Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe". People will come up with reasons to be offended by, and make it seem they are being attack, in any backwards ass way possible. Oh well, I was going to see this multiple times in theaters anyway, now I'll be seeing it at least 2 or 3 more times, I'll also be buying multiple copies of the 4K Bluray as soon as it is available to try to offset that kind of idiotic, BS behavior.
  22. I had no idea this was even a thing, who asked for this? Will he kiss a human again like that one time in the game? Is Sonic a furry? This seems ill advised.
  23. I need to hear Ghidorah more clearly, but agreed on G2014, I think they nailed the look and the roar. The Godzilla roar is iconic, you've gotta get that right, and I feel they really did well with this new design. Rewatching the trailer, unless that's Mothra in her flying form bursting out of the ground, we see some insect like legs revealing themselves. Is there a chance some smaller, low level Kaiju make a brief appearance? Like Kumonga, the giant spider?
