  1. HLJ just charged me for Cap, Iron Spider, and my Tamashii Marvel stands, excited to check out Spidey even though the Iron Spider legs look a bit too thick.
  2. Oh man, that cameo is AWESOME! I'm even more excited! I've got tickets for Friday night after work, more Star Wars is good Star Wars to me. I don't get the whining about the cameo, Star Wars isn't self contained to film anymore, welcome to the past three to four decades. For those that do bother to watch the excellent shows and read some of the excellent comics and books, this is a pretty awesome little tie in. This particular character got FAR more fleshed out thanks to expanded content, otherwise they would have been one of the biggest wastes of a character in Star Wars history. I'm pumped, but then again I have been since this was announced, more Star Wars is good Star Wars, I really can't complain that this film is unnecessary, technically speaking, everything after A New Hope is unnecessary, sequels and spin offs by nature are unnecessary.
  3. This was always the plan, Takara is making V3 Prime toon accurate like all of their modern releases, with the main goal being to make it a perfect companion for MP-36, who myself and others feel looks ridiculous next to MP-10, you can see the clear aesthetic shift from earlier MPs to how they are now. Doubtful it will be a designation for MP-10, I'd guess it will be an all new numbered MP release. Most are guessing it will have some design elements from MP-10, but mostly a new figure with more articulation, and it will be far closer to the straight off the screen toon aesthetic Takara is going with now. On a side note I wasn't all too impressed with MP-36 so I sold it and bought the Magten silver KO MP-36, same figure as MP-36 but it's finished in a beautiful silver paint with red on the inside of the legs like the G1 toy, it's the perfect blend of toon and toy that I want in my MP-36. And honestly, the paint is far nicer and more durable, plus it has some better tolerances and joints.
  4. Definitely, but no word on if it is Lucky Draw like most gold releases or if it will be a normal release. Funny that Takara is pushing another repaint of MP-10, with pictures of a newer Prime right next to it, blatantly telling you a new Prime is coming, but here's another MP-10 to buy...
  5. Nobody is sure yet, it's just labeled as a "nano weapons MK50" version. No word on if it is just more accessories or if it just comes in "weapons" mode with no normal arms or legs.
  6. I feel your pain, he was on BBTS for the longest time for like $60, but I kept passing, telling myself I will grab him later, then he sold out... This one will be mine, not missing out again. Jabba and Emperor Palpatine look good! Didn't expect Jawas and Ewoks though, they will be cheap so I may grab a couple. TLJ Luke? Different from the TWE version I currently have on PO at NY? Comes with a lightsaber? frakk you Bandai, frakk you. This new Luke probably won't be TWE either, LAME! Also, that is some scummy crap with the new MK50, I'm sure that one WILL be TWE, so you will have pay a premium for the accessories the original figure should have come with in the first place...
  7. First teeny, tiny photos of prototype V3 Prime are out, look next to the gold MP-10. Apparently the full prototype will be shown off at TTS. Once again, articulation be damned, if he's too toon accurate I will probably pass, MP-10 lacks modern articulation yes, but his aesthetic is on point for me, too toony is no good for me personally.
  8. Wow, that Falcon looks frakking fantastic! As does Yoda and that new IW Thor! Cloth cape and all! I still have the AOU Thor, easily one of the worst Figuarts in my collection, I cancelled Ragnarok Hulk and Thor so I will definitely be grabbing these two new IW versions. Looks like an alternate version of IW MK 50, one that actually comes with some extra stuff, it's labeled as a "nano weapons" version.
  9. Not sure how to feel about this, seems so light hearted and fun, and this is in the same universe as Murder Bat? I know JL tried to dial it back on the darkness, but that dark gloominess just hangs over everything DC film related in my eyes. It just seems so awkward realizing this guy lives in the same universe as You Live if Martha, and that super edgy, cut yourself on him Leto Joker from SS.
  10. I gotta find it again, but some guy on a Sideshow forum translated a Tamashii Con page that was leaked in Japanese, said something about S.H. Figuarts Xmen and Deadpool. Falcon has some super blurry photos on 4chan, along with War Machine, IW Hulk, and a couple of others, though we'e already seen Hulk.
  11. The Kaitlin bit was indeed cool, metas exist and are created in many ways, natural birth, accidents, experiments, etc. The thing I'm wondering is what earth does Black Lightning take place on? We got confirmation Supergirl exists in their world, but it isn't guaranteed to be OUR Kara from the show. Other metas and vigilantes exist as well, but once again, it's kind of vague on who, leaving the door open which is nice. We know everyone will get to play together eventually, BL will join everyone at some point, I'm just wondering which earth he is on and how will he get to earth 1? As is I think the more we learn of multiple earths holding multiple characters, people will start to question where the dopple-gangers are for heroes we haven't seen. Clearly earth 1 should have a BL, Supergirl, and Superman no? There's no reason to believe every earth doesn't have a version of every character and person, where are the earth 1 Supes? I'm sure it would be easy enough to say their Krypton never blew up so they're still there, but still, this dopple-ganger business puts holes in these shows if you think about it too long.
  12. And from out of left field, HARRY POTTER! Oh man, these movies were great, but I'm not the biggest Potter fan, not enough so that I would consider buying in on yet another Figuarts line. These do look REALLY good for those interested, and I am sure there will be plenty. And when these sell quicker then ice cubes in hell they will make more, there's zero reason to believe Bandai only has the Sorcerer's Stone license, they have to have more. On another note, I reading we are days away from Tahashii Con or something, either way, we're apparently days from a reveal for Infinity War Falcon and War Machine. Falcon! Finally! Him and Bucky were two of the biggest hang ups, I feel these two have been a long time coming. Also, Saw Figuarts, Deadpool, but I don't know if it's a comic based one or Ryan Reynolds, some kind of X-Men, once again no idea if it is an original comic take or from the new film, Wasp from Ant-Man and the Wasp, and a mess of new Star Wars including my long awaited Count Dooku. Lots of stuff coming up folks, there's no brakes on the Bandai Figuarts train.
  13. Clifford DeVoe, aka The Thinker, pops up and causes some chaos. He has a master plan to create, then steal the powers of different metas in order to find a way to live with his meta power of super intelligence, which is killing him. Honestly, a really nice and welcomed change, a season villain that isn't another speedster! But it's been really up and done overall, in tone and overall quality. It seemed The Flash wanted to dial back on the doom and gloom of last season, but then had EVEN MORE doom and gloom this season. Not terrible, but I still feel this show and Supergirl really need to do something interesting next season. Green Arrow/Ollie dealing with the Supermax story will be fun, Dig is official the new Emerald Archer.
  14. Yeah the episode was titled "Life Sentence", so I'm pretty sure Ray Charles could see it coming, but still, very solid performances towards the end there, especially from Amell. Honestly, we are finally getting the Green Arrow Supermax story we got hinted at when Ollie first got arrested for being the Green Arrow, but this time it will absolutely stick! I'm excited. Ricardo ended up being a better villain then was promised in the first half of the season when they weren't willing to admit he was the main villain, no personal hangups or vengeance, just a bad guy looking to take over a city, GA and his team were just obstacles. It doesn't hurt that Kirk Acevedo is fantastic and almost literally chewed the paint off the walls in every scene he was in, guy is awesome. Flash ends tomorrow, mostly meh season for me personally. Legends was fantastic, and still easily the best of the CW shows. Supergirl is really up and down, either way, we really need some shake ups next season, Arrow is already on track, we'll see for Flash and Supergirl.
  15. Love Downbeat to death! So glad I nabbed one when he was available, best MP Jazz on the market IMO. Good thing I never display my bots in alt mode with the rear facing to the front, the messy back end is a complete non-issue for me. With Downbeat, I feel it is another third party figure I like so much Takara would have to do something really special with an official MP Jazz to get me to bite, like aside from just being official.
  16. I've been following this movie for years, even before Sacha was attached, I am a MASSIVE Queen fan, I've already got tickets for their residency with Adam Lambert here in Vegas. My main fear for this film is exactly what Sacha pointed out, and they were his reasons for dropping off the project after 6 years. Apparently Brian May himself let Sacha know something "magic" happened half way through the movie, Freddie dies... Half way through the movie. Sacha, as I would imagine many others, thought that sounded utterly ridiculous. Brian wanted the entire second half of the film to follow Queen after Freddie's death, but let's be real here, people want to go see this to see one of the single greatest performers in history immortalized on the big screen by a competent actor. Also, Sacha learned the band wanted very, very little of Freddie's male lover's or "close" friends depicted in the film. That is another bummer, that is not Freddie. Kind of lame if they dial back on that part of his life.
  17. Buy Meteor and Jream's add-ons, he also has black intake fans that go in the intake boob sections of the MakeToys seekers, another bit MakeToys left out but Jream made parts for. Price is fine IMO, he nailed the color, it is a perfect match, I glued those down and put two black intakes in Meteor's chest and he is now, undoubtedly, the finest MP representation of Starscream money can buy. I loved the figure before, he's even better now. I bought two extra sets of the chest fans, they're for SW and TC, and as soon as he works his magic and color matches shin vents for those guys I will be ordering them as well. Funny enough I JUST bought these bits and got them delivered Tuesday afternoon, and I seriously contemplated taking photos and sharing them on here for those on the fence about the greatness that is Meteor with these updated bits. Buy Meteor, buy Jream's stuff, you won't regret it.
  18. Yeah as Dynaman said, not really a remake. Maybe create a new thread and post it up in there? Freddie deserves his own thread, and this movie has been in development hell for over a decade, I remember when Sacha Baron Cohen was going to be Freddie.
  19. Anyone else buying in on the new Badcube lambos? I was in for Red Alert the moment I saw him, massive upgrade from official Takara MP, but I was on the fence with Sideswipe. Now? I am honestly in for both. I, begrudgingly, made official MP Sunstreaker my main SS, I love Sunsurge but the official just ticked a few more boxes. And official Sideswipe looks utterly ridiculous next to MP Sunny, so I am all in for both Badcube lambos. Red Alert is miles ahead of the official, and while I'm not too hot on the face, that smaller chest and the proportions on Badcube Sideswipe have won me over, I need both.
  20. It's definitely still a G1 dry spell, just repaints no new G1 releases :(. Baffled it took this long for toy Shockwave, also baffled to see both him and MP-36+ are TT mall exclusives, their prices will be nuts on most sites, MP Shockwave is too expensive as is IMO.
  21. I'd take the monster personally, most immediate, less frakkery. The creature will just maul you alive, but every other way is far more drug out, and would seem far more horrifying.
  22. Not too sure how to feel about this. Predator was an already OP alien, that was the point, they hunted more worthless species, like humans, for sport. Now they are upgrading even more and hybridizing themselves? Okay I guess? This is my problem with a lot of these franchises, they all feel like they have to continuously step their game up, and upgrade their monster. This movie would be fine if it were one OG Predator like in the original Arnold film. Plenty powerful enough, plenty of gadgets, plenty enough challenge for humans using modern weapons and tech. If they want to upgrade and change these stupid Predators so much move these movies into the god damn future so they can finally square off against Colonial Marines in live action, then the Predator would have something to worry about.
  23. Pics of painted Cordon. Also, it appears Takara hasn't forgotten the G1 toy crowd, MP29+ and MP36+. Both releases were already toon accurate at release, these ones are G1 toy accurate, the dark purple Shockwave many longed for, and a silver Megatron with the toy head, chest, and red legs. No new G1 release though :(. Masterpiece Beast Wars Megatron was absolutely not expected, but definitely welcomed, that thing looks incredible! Plus, he's frakking huge! That price will be nuts! Dinobot was scaring folks, Megatron's price will be sure to cause some discussion, I'm in.
  24. This also leads me to believe Takara may be taking it's last big gasp before ending the MP line, they're pumping out as many re-releases as possible, and they are doing easy retools and repaints, Shadow Panther, + releases, MP-42 is Cordon not a new mold or character. Those + figures really are for the hard core collector that is willing to buy a figure twice for slightly more cartoon accuracy, I personally think they look quite ridiculous, especially Prowl +. I see some folks are getting hyped about another MP Hound rumor, like the one from two years ago, and a year ago, and six months ago...
  25. Boy I hate to acknowledge the nonsense on TFW2005, but I can't help but think something is up with the official MP line. MP-42 was just announced, and it's the police Sunstreaker repaint Cordon, which was expected, but it was also expected he might just be MP-39C or something, but no Takara is making him MP-42. They've done this before, made a repaint a whole numbered release, but damn if it didn't suck then, and now. Honestly, we haven't gotten even a new tease or announcement for the next G1 figure, it's been quite some time too. People are wigging out, claiming the line is dead. While I don't think it's dead, I do think this is a sign the MP releases will be even fewer and farther between then ever before. I've read the rumblings, Takara isn't doing that hot financially, but the MP line is usually a guaranteed money maker, even with the rising prices. I'm not sure what to think, it's just been month after month with no new announcement, Dinobot is almost here, and nothing to look forward to after. I hate to doom and gloom, but this has been the longest we've gone without something new announced, I'm wondering if G1 is being pushed to the back burner to focus on Beast Wars and Bayverse MPM.
