  1. That does look handsome! I have to decide if I want one or not in the next week or so, my buddy Rex is insane and grabbed three but only wants two, he said he'd sell me one for just the retail price, no shipping for me! edit: Liked your photos too! Forgot we could do that.
  2. Have you opened one yet? Do they even seem like they are worth it? They looked wholly unimpressive in promo shots, especially considering what Arcadia is charging for these things.
  3. Lol I'll be that guy. -Terminus was sold in one box barely a month after release, most shops only carry the A & B set now. -Proportions are completely subjective, Omega looked like both Gabe and Terminus in the cartoon due to how old and piss poor it was drawn, proper proportions will vary from person to person. -TG Does seem to have balance issues for some, mine seems fine and isn't anywhere near as bad as some I've seen online. On the opposite end many are reporting getting their DX9 Gabe in covered in water, some are even reporting mold, and some are reporting paint issues and chips. -DX9 Gabe is actually slightly heavier then TG, Benscollectibles showed this off and had a very good comparison. Either way both are an expensive gamble, either can have issues. I personally don't like the newer MP figures that are super toon accurate, I passed on several myself, I prefer the older MPs like the Datsuns and Lambos that have more detail, and are more toon and toy blend. Gabe is what Takara would make, straight out of the toon to a fault in my opinion, TG has more detail and in my opinion a far superior base mode, which is oddly important to me, he also could wobble on you. Like most Transformers, mileage will vary from person to person.
  4. No packages in quite some time, and then as usual I get multiple packages in at once, plus a few more ill-advised, spontaneous Lego purchases. V2 Figuarts Vader is by far superior to the original, taller, better sculpt, and a fabric cape. While not UCS, I REALLY like the Lando Falcon all built up, it's got more gaps in the opening panels than the Force Awakens Falcon we got just a few years ago, but I really like the colors, and Lego young Lando is awesome. I fraked my back up last weekend hanging with some friends, stayed in Saturday, Sunday, stayed home from work Monday, and watched Adam West Batman, film included. Had to get this set, retiring soon, West himself passed away, not worth original retail I would agree, but I nabbed it for $140 cash brand new in town off Craigslist, didn't get stabbed.
  5. Definitely top 5, and I'd guess that for everyone that will go see it, the movie had pretty much everything and somehow lived up to all the hype.
  6. I grabbed a Hulkbuster 2.0 yesterday after I gave everyone the heads up that it was on NY, zero chance I was passing on that beast, I love the first version. Also, more Infinity Wars news! Looks like they waited for the films release to finally reveal that, yes indeed, Figuarts Iron Spidey WILL come with the extra arms making him a proper Iron Spidey, because even though everyone and their brother knew Peter would have them in the movie, they didn't want to spoil the look too much. Also, a new Hulk, looks MUCH better then the original Age of Ultron version. Happy I nabbed a PO on Spidey, now that everyone knows he comes with the legs I'm guessing more folks will try to snatch him up, also definitely in for the new and improved Hulk, that head sculpt looks much better.
  7. MakeToys just announced on Twitter that their upcoming MP Skywarp(Skycrow) will come with both black and the sweet, sweet purple hands fans were requesting! Hurray! I would've bought him either way, Meteor is leagues above MP-11, but still, this is nice news, they must have gotten quite a few messages and requests about those.
  8. You mean for Hulkbuster 2.0? As I said above him, Rocket, and Bucky are all TWE, no HLJ, AmiAmi, only shops that carry TWE like NY and AnimeExport will be carrying it. The price seems rough now, but that was roughly the price of the original as well, it is what it is, Chogokin X Figuarts, that Chogokin in there means money. Also, take a look at Hulkbuster V1 prices now, he skyrocketed pretty crazy.
  9. New Figuarts Rocket with the BFG, Winder Soldier, and Hulkbuster 2.0 are all TWE, all going up tomorrow. Easy pass on Rocket, I've got the first one and while I like that big gun, I don't like it enough to buy him again, but I will be snatching Winder Solider and Hulkbuster off NY tomorrow for sure. edit: I guess Winter Soldier, Rocket, and Hulkbuster are all up on NY already, GO GO GO!
  10. I get that, but it still seems completely unreasonable at that size and scale. Most figures that have a gimmick where a pilot or something that goes in armor, the outside figure is usually a shell, or a block of wood as far as articulation is concerned. Hot Toys got away with it because their scale, 1/12 and 6" not so much. The HB itself would have to be thin, and more complicated in order to accommodate a figure inside and have any resemblance of articulation, at that point it wouldn't even be a Figuart, it would be an expensive glorified Legends or Select HB with a Figuart Ironman inside it. Also, people were already whining like crazy about the price, opening HB gimmick would have driven the price even higher, that is, if it was even a possibility at that scale while still being an actual articulated Figuart figure.
  11. Figuarts Ep-3 Anakin/Young Vader is popping up Friday. I remember he was initially announced as TWE, I guess Bandai saw how excited folks were for him so they just made him a standard release instead. Looks frakking fantastic, I have been waiting on this guy, pre-ordered on site. The screaming/yelling face is a bit meh, but everything else looks great! That Sith eyes face looks really good, I can't wait to put a black fabric cloak around this guy to complete his look, maybe a few dead kids scattered around his feet as well :). On a side note I also never understood the allure of fitting a standard Figuarts Ironman into the Figuarts Hulkbuster. Maybe at a larger scale like how Hot Toys was able to do it, but 1/12 or 6" is a hell of a stretch. I remember people clamoring for the Mafex, claiming it was SO superior because it had some dumb little bust, not even a figure, seated in the head of their Hulkbuster. Of course it came out, slightly cheaper then Figuarts, and it got slammed in reviews for bad paint, awkward design choices, no lighting or anything else impressive to speak to it's still really high price.
  12. Oh I am absolutely that guy, and I pre-ordered him the second I saw it pop up on BBTS. This thing looks frakking brilliant! Aesthetically, it is pretty much exactly what I wanted, this guy looks fantastic. I do have some gripes though. Polystone for the whole figure could prove to be problematic, it's fine for statues, but being an articulated figure I can see this causing issues. Also, they REALLY could have just made this guy from plastic and kept the price down, the polystone isn't even something people were asking for, it is un-necessary and a potential issue, they really clearly wanted to squeeze as much money out of folks on this release as possible. I'm wondering how many folks that passed on Supes are kicking themselves now, no he wasn't a perfect figure, and not the best Mezco release, but he was still pretty damn quality, and now one of his best foes is being released. I'm on board, I can picture this guy sky rocketing after he dries up, not that I would ever sell mine, I've just realized with One:12 that if you want a figure, get it before it's gone. edit: Also, Batman dropped at BBTS and is on his way. Pretty good reviews too, most folks are very pleased with him. Seeing him in hand, I'm glad I never tracked down and over paid for that Mezco all black exclusive, I honestly feel the grey on the regular release gives better contrast, the all black looks quite meh in comparison.
  13. Fairly hefty amount of die-cast and the chest and knee reactors lit up. Pretty bright too. Oddly, no lights in the hands for the repulsors, a glaring omission in the Figuarts V1 Hulkbuster.
  14. Hold the phone, did nobody else notice the newspaper that said... I'd guess if all this happened quickly large swaths of the human population could have been wiped out, depending on how many impact sites and where they hit would be an even greater factor. The creatures seemed insanely fast, and with their hearing I could see them moving from town to town, village to village, city to city slaughtering anything that drops a pin.
  15. Unfortunately I don't believe it is, it is technically still airing on AMC every Monday and hasn't wrapped up yet. Like I said the only reason I was able to blast through the whole series is because the whole series is up on AMC Premiere, but you can only sign up with that if you have a cable subscription. I'd guess it will pop up on Netflix like most AMC stuff does eventually, but I also believe episode 5 just aired this Monday and there are 10 episodes in the series, so it will still be some time before it wraps up and pops up on Netflix. I actually ordered the novel off Amazon because I loved the series so much, and I've heard good things about the novel as well, and that the TV adaptation is really well done and very close to the source. Also, after finishing up the series I was on Google for about four hours reading about the real Terror and Erebus crews, pretty terrifying stuff in real life even without a fictional monster thrown in to the mix. That's why I need to get my hands on the novel, this property in particular really seemed to nail a perfect blend of fact and fiction, all centered around this horrifying setting and story. I am SOOOO glad I didn't end up passing on this series like I initially thought I would, I figured I'd check it out eventually, which I would have, but it's really good and I'll still continue saying it's probably the best TV of 2018 so far.
  16. Agreed, Lost in Space was honestly pretty damn awesome, I got far more in to it then I thought I would. I never watched the classic series, and the 90s movie was, mostly forgettable to say the least. Anyone else watching The Terror on AMC? Honestly, it's probably the best TV I've watched in 2018, it is incredibly tense, real classic slow burn horror. I absolutely love it, fantastic cast, superb sets, props and costumes, and really excellent sound design. I really can't recommend it enough, I even signed up for AMC Premier or something like that so I didn't have to wait for more episodes every Monday and I binged the whole rest of the series on Sunday, once again, watch this show, it is quite brilliant.
  17. Blade is up on BBTS. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/72931 I'll say it again, this guy looks frakking fantastic, I'm really excited for this release. Nabbed mine at BBTS, I'll only use Mezco's site when I absolutely have to, like for their exclusives.
  18. To be fair, we just never learned enough about the outside world for me to make jumps about what should or shouldn't have been invented or used. It seemed the family was in a very rural area, large pockets of survivors and military could very well have been developing weapons, and living in various bunkers and underground shelters, we never learned enough. We also never learned how bad the initial invasion was, we don't know how many, and how quickly people were killed. Governments could have been crippled, along with militaries, there could have been a massive near extinction level amount of death that happened incredibly quickly, without any way to prepare or defend. The isolationist nature of the film was another thing I loved for this very reason, the family could have very well been living in un-necessary isolation, they could have been just one radio call from a group that would then inform the family that swaths of soldiers and volunteers are moving through chunks of the country murdering monsters with new tech and tactics. I personally love that aspect in certain horror films, the angle that the family or heroes could very well be harming themselves due to a lack of communication or knowledge, that help could be coming or you could totally be on your own. And due to the incredible hearing of the creatures, I would guess after their initial arrival it would be INCREDIBLY difficult to mount any kind of massive under takings without making even a minimum, fatal level of noise. With how fast, strong, and sensitive the creatures were, I just can't picture too many large scale migrations or defenses being mounted against the creatures, especially after their initial invasion. Also, most glaringly to me, we have no idea exactly how many creatures there are out there, if they can breed, etc.
  19. Everyone has a favorite slasher, and a favorite look for said slasher from a specific film. Jason from Part III is my jam, always my favorite look for Jason, also my favorite Friday the 13th film, suffice to say this mother frakker is ABSOLUTELY mine. I got giddy as soon as I saw his prototype a while back, yes there was a 1/6 version, but I don't do 1/6 and LOVE Mezco One:12, so this is undeniably the ultimate Jason figure I NEED in my collection, he looks fantastic... I am definitely in for horror film slasher icons, this guy and Michael from Halloween are an excellent start.
  20. Oh man, I didn't even see when these were announced, but I'm in love. MakeToys Skywarp and Thundercracker are officially up for PO, nabbed mine at BBTS, and they look phenomenal, everyone was hoping after Meteor/Starscream they would release these guys too, and happy days here they are. I am ALL over these, I love my Meteor to death, a bit too toon accurate for its own good sometimes, but head and shoulders above the quite awful official MP-11 seekers.
