  1. More so considering it was for Endgame, the big ending for the decade long Infinity saga, the way Bandai handled this was a scalper's dream come true, those guys made out like bandits, especially the ones who bought up as many MK85 as they could find.
  2. frakk it, with hopes we get some other form of the Figuarts MK85, I went ahead and ordered Cap and Widow from NY. Widow's price seems fair, Cap was far more then I wanted to pay, but it's only going to go up so here we are. Wondering now if Bandai will bother making a Lebowski "The Dude" version of Thor, I'd buy one.
  3. Got my Jurassic Park T-Rex Rampage set in, looks pretty neat. I like the mini diorama sections built into the back side of the iconic gate, I thought I'd be meh on them but they look the part and are charming enough. The set is all about the T-Rex though, and that thing looks fantastic, I'm probably going to bust it all out and build it this weekend.
  4. I guess that's the one thing I can hope for, some kind of TWE set for a "Final Battle" MK85 with the gauntlet hand and maybe an uncovered Tony head or something.
  5. Would love to cancel Hawkeye and Hulk but already paid at NY, there's zero chance I'm paying the current scalper prices for Cap and MK85, so there's zero chance I'll have the Endgame team now. Would've loved to have the complete Ultron original six Avengers next to their later Endgame counterparts, but once again, not paying $120+ for Ironman, and absolutely not paying a dime above retail for Cap, he's got less articulation then every previous Figuarts Cap, and doesn't even come with a damn hammer. What a crap show these pre-orders were, it's like Bandai wanted to sell to scalpers specifically, such a damn shame my giant MCU Figuarts collection won't have a single Endgame figure in it besides Thanos.
  6. Well damn that's cool, got mine as well, not too difficult, the site didn't even crash.
  7. Jesus, he HAS to have friends on the inside in China, there's no other way, he gets most of his stuff on release day, sometimes before.
  8. If you don't think you'll make it I can try to grab two when it opens. I almost did the same, the accessories are insanely on point, but the suit looked pretty bad so I passed. I'd guess it'd be hard to get rid of the figure itself come release time, I'm expecting the standard release without all the goodies to be easy to get at release.
  9. Damn that looks good too, I was initially on the fence but I think I need one for my Ascending Knight Batman.
  10. I absolutely hate what this guy did with the Resident Evil films, I can't find a single positive thing to say about any one of those films, even for turn your brain off action schlock, they're frakking terrible. But, I loved the MK movie, it will always hold a special place in my heart, it was 90s as hell, and awesome. That all said, I am a MASSIVE Monster Hunter whore, I've played EVERY game in the series to over 100 hours each minimum, hundreds of hours on certain titles, and that Diablos looked fantastic, and like Diablos. Tony Jaa too? I'm in, if even just for the expensive CG versions of what look like really accurate takes on some of my favorite MH monsters. The premise of a gate works for me, the MH games themselves have little to no story, with the story really only being highlighted in the newest game, Monster Hunter World, which this film apparently takes the majority of it's inspiration from, every game is mostly about you being a random hunter that constantly needs new shoes so you have to find and kill bigger meaner monsters, over and over.
  11. I thought it was pretty clear the last game confirmed that, if you collected and read all the extra intel, the new Doom followed the continuity of the original game, Doom 2, and I believe Doom 64 as well.
  12. Got mine at BBTS, no sweat, nice and easy. Also pre-ordered my Monsterarts Rodan and Mothra two pack, much cheaper then NY.
  13. Was it confirmed he was only half transformed? I never heard that, just that they found a balance and had achieved "the best of both worlds". I guess it kind of would make sense but as I said, I never heard that explicitly stated as such. Even then, he seemed the same size as original Avengers Hulk when they went back to New York. Either way, I'm not a fan of his size, I'd like him bigger.
  14. I am, I have a pair of small mini glasses that will complete his look for me, main thing I'm disappointed about is the height, he's by far the shortest Figuarts Hulk yet, but I don't remember Professor Hulk being significantly shorter then regular Hulk, so what gives? In other news, I shipped a pile of loot from BBTS, still had a few things on pre-order for June but no word on release in site, no in stock in a few days notice from BBTS, ship my loot, 5 hours later Infinity War War Machine is in stock..... FUUUUUUUCK. Bad timing, I hate when that happens.
  15. That sucks, that really, really sucks. The first episode was fantastic, the gore and scare factor was right where it needed to be to do a proper Swamp Thing show, I loved the first episode and had really high hopes for the rest of the short, 10 episode season. Wow, how shitty, cancelled due to, essentially, a stupid clerical error.
  16. Hm, I just noticed, are those stupid tiny wheels on the sides of the feet permanent? That's once again, toon accuracy gone too far, that looks goofy as all hell :(.
  17. Looks pretty good, not vastly better then my FT Willis so I'll be passing. Looking through the gallery, there's no shots of him in alt mode next to other official MP figures in alt mode, from what I've read, the Spike that comes with him is larger then the Spike that comes with MP Optimus V3, so my question is, how big is official MP Hound's alt mode? Is it massive and monster truck sized liked FT Willis? Or did they manage to make it a bit more in scale with other MPs in alt mode?
  18. Yeah I don't want to scare anyone, hopefully all is well for everyone above, but by initial Chogokin Lion Voltron order was with Amazon US and that got cancelled due to the quantities they received being far, far less then expected, it's why I didn't bother with Amazon US for Vehicle Voltron. But once again, hopefully all is well, I'm still waiting on BBTS out of convenience, I get a lot of stuff from them nowadays.
  19. Lol yeah that flew over my head. I never knew BBTS carried Yamato valks back in the day, that's before I used BBTS, and when I was getting Yamato valks from HLJ and AmiAmi. As of recent, the only actual Macross items I've seen on BBTS are a VERY small handful of GN-U DOU valks, and even then, they are labeled as Robotech items. I'm wondering, if HG really wanted to be dicks, could they still get on BBTS even for those few items?
  20. They do not. They are a US site, so Robotech only, but Mospeada and Southern Cross merch is fine.
  21. Yikes yeah, as mentioned, Transformers fans are a fickle bunch, the movie was not without its fans, but generally looked down upon by many, myself included, outside bits of the first film and Bumblebee those films and designs were god awful, the films have almost zero redeeming qualities. On the topic of KotM, I HAVE been recommending it to everyone I can, I've been telling folks it's no more a turn your brain off Summer blockbuster then any other film of the sort, Endgame, Shazam, any superhero stuff really. It's just Godzilla, so it's infinitely better :). I don't see how there's a line at Godzilla when it comes to big dumb blockbuster films, it's all fantasy and CG, anyone can get into it, it's really not anymore dumb then any of the recent superhero or other big budget action film nonsense.
  22. Saw it last night and absolutely loved it! Phenomenal film, an excellent Blockbuster to start the summer! The fight scenes were incredible and the CG was top notch and amazing, the Big G and some of his closest friends have never looked better, a solid B from me. Can't deny what reviews are saying, the humans are terrible and dumb, but I can't really say it's any worse then any other Godzilla film, for better or worse, the humans exist to push the monsters into a fight, of which once again are awesome! Highly recommended, I'll be seeing it again next weekend! I'm excited for the Blu-ray, this film will look great in 4K.
  23. "Tell me, do you sparkle in the sunlight? You will." New Batman 2021.
  24. Well crap, that sucks. I never had a break with any of my NECA Godzilla stuff, just dodgy paint apps, that would definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth too. My experience with NECA in general is lacking to say the least, I had horrible luck with their Pacific Rim stuff, some Aliens and Predator stuff, and both versions of Pennywise from IT, but as I said, Godzilla stuff was mostly solid. Maybe keep your eye open for a less desirable figure that's on sale, see if that does anything for you, then spend the money on one you actually want when you can. Bandai has been doing re-releases on some of the more sought after MonsterArts stuff, but like the original releases, once it's gone the aftermarket price sky rockets. Maybe start at the King of the Monsters line if you're interested in MonsterArts? Or at least grab the new Godzilla from King of the Monsters since he is still at retail, or start the King of the Monsters NECA line instead, much cheaper but they still look pretty good, NECA Rodan looks pretty fantastic.
