  1. Are the wings and majority of the body of the 1J painted or are they bare plastic? In the time I've owned this figure I've never noticed some really ugly red paint scratches or something on the underside of the right wing, just next to one of the missile nubs. I want to take some alcohol to it but I don't want to damage it, it's on the underside and can't be seen in any mode so I can live with it if I have to.
  2. I meant for those that can't walk into a shop and get one, without a proxy of some kind, those kinds of deals are hard to cash in on.
  3. Looks like Mandrake is nearly out of their DX VF-1J stock, all for the low, low price of 35,000 yen, yikes. I guess if you want one for the holidays, that's the best price you can find it for now, so there you go.
  4. Episode 7, while a bit clunky at times with exposition, is a pretty monumental piece of TV, and within overall Watchmen fiction, a game changer. Once again, this shows ability to blend old and new is unrivaled. This episode will garner strong opinions and emotions, one way or the other, from every single person watching. Wow. I loved it, and am once again ready for another week to go by so I can get another piece of this outstanding puzzle. I never imagined a Watchmen sequel series would be well made in general, deliver a worthwhile sequel to the comic itself, and be one of the best shows on television all at once.
  5. BBTS opened pre-orders for their Endgame Figuarts Final Battle stuff, plus Endgame Captain Marvel. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Search?HideSoldOut=true&PageSize=50&SortOrder=New&Brand=2085&Series=32
  6. In Before Watchmen: Minutemen, he had a larger role, but nothing that contradicted this episode of the series. Also, you are about right that he was more or less an after thought, he was only really known for being the first masked vigilante within the Watchmen universe, not much else. The series has been brilliant, and agreed, I seriously can't wait for another episode, I find myself pining for Sunday night through the work week, just so I can get another fix.
  7. So did you actually watch the episode to get the how he became Hooded Justice instead of just reading about the reveal? It made absolute perfect sense, and within the context of that episode and what led up to the first moment he turned to masked crime fighting, there's zero reason to question the decision. I personally can't applaud the show enough for making a near perfect fusion of the original source material, and this new series and the new characters that have been introduced, it was a brilliant episode of TV. Also, it slightly retconned the questionable, to say the least, character that was Hooded Justice, a supposed white man with that particular costume. As I said, to me, it came off as an incredibly brilliant way of fusing the original source material and the new series. Also, retconning one of Moore's more tone-deaf moments among his already at times, immensely tone-deaf series, it was a well written reveal and episode, with fantastic character development, and it more or less "fixed" one of the issues with the original Minute Men.

    Hi-Metal R

The scale makes Hi-Metal R perfect for multiples and army building, it's hard to stop at just a few of the cannon fodder units.
  9. This is EXACTLY what I just did for Rescue. Of course, NY already put a markup on her, and made all the new Endgame figures pay up front, so noble of them. Captain Marvel being TWE means I'll get her in a couple of weeks, easy pass on Cap and MK85, so if I can, I just want a new Iron Spidey.
  10. I think I'm done trying, and probably done with figuarts Marvel in general. I'm pissed, 50 minutes later and not a single figure I wanted, I was also cart jacked at HLJ and NY, I couldn't even get the frakking Mandalorian. I was at choose payment page on NY and nope, items in my cart were no longer available. What a joke, what a complete crap show, and within an hour Rescue will be on eBay for $90+. frakk Bandai, and frakk all this nonsense, I'm done.
  11. Looks like everything above goes up tonight too, except Captain Marvel and Palps since they're TWE. It's gonna be a busy one, sites are going to be crawling.
  12. Rescue, Mando, Captain Marvel and Palpatine are all mine. I don't do Black Series so I've been waiting on this Figuarts Palps, looks good to me.

    Hi-Metal R

There's also the Tamashii trident stands, I bought several sets of those and they're great for multiple figures at once on a single base. I use them for Robot Spirits ANIME Gundam figures, also good for brownie VF-1A and regults in mass numbers. https://www.amazon.com/Bandai-Tamashii-Nations-Trident-Action/dp/B00B8IWJXO/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=tamashii+trident&qid=1573862142&sr=8-3
  14. Oh man, I'm the opposite, I actually really like that aspect. The exploration, for the little bit I got to dive into, was fun. I love "modern" platforming, like the Tomb Raider reboots and yes, Uncharted.
  15. I thought about this as well, technically one set could go a long way, but I want series accurate Vermillion, so I need a set with TV clusters for each valk. Well I don't need that, but I want it.
  16. Death Stranding is definitely a wait for sale game for me, looks very slow, and honestly, just kind of boring. I'll check it out eventually, but I'm in no rush, I'm sure I'll be able to nab a copy on Black Friday for $30 or so. This, very much this. I can't help but feel a ton of "professional" reviewers had Kojima goggles on when playing it, from what I've read from many, many different reviews, any other open world game with the same issues would've been slammed accordingly, but Kojima! A lot of the intentional mechanics sound awful, the fast travel sounds awful, if it weren't a Kojima game I'd imagine most reviews would be 6/10 on average.
  17. Oh yeah you're doomed, the Hikaru 1S will require the rest of the DYRL Skull Squadron :). We'll see for me as well, if I end up buying a single DYRL DX I'll inevitably have to get the rest, then I'm officially tumbling down the slope, not slipping.
  18. I went ahead and nabbed four sets, I'm not missing out again. I plan on only getting Vermillion and a Roy 1S, preferably TV colored to go with Vermillion, and I want a full set for all four valks. Plan was italicized because I'm a weak ass when it comes to not buying more then I planned, I didn't even plan on getting a single DX, now I have the 1A Max and 1J Hikaru.
  19. I played Jedi Fallen Order for about 3.5 hours this morning on my Xbox One X, I'm tired as all hell but damn, it is a KILLER single player Star Wars game. Like many others I was skeptical, there was a review embargo, EA, there was a lot going against it, and the only real positive in my eyes was Respawn, they make killer games, but once again EA. EA is known for meddling in the development of what could-have-been solid games, so a single player Star Wars game seemed ripe for BS, micro-transactions, DLC, pre-order bonuses, and every other stupid thing that's currently plaguing modern gaming. Honestly though? Nope. Just in general, there's a whole, solid, fun, and very well made single player Star Wars game here, it's quite incredible. There's a decent bit of customization, clothing, lightsaber hilt pieces, colors, you can even change the lightsaber combat style, all unlocked IN GAME. You don't have to buy anything, there's no premium currency or time savers, you just unlock everything by playing the actual game, crazy concept.
  20. I got jerked around for nearly an hour trying to watch Mandalorian, the app is quite spotty on every platform right now it seems. I had login issues at first, but then like you mentioned, things from my watch list were disappearing or were being removed, then when they re-appeared after I closed and relaunched the app they couldn't be watched.
  21. That design looks much, much better IMO. Honestly? The movie still looks pretty fun to me, and I love me some Jim Carrey so I'll be seeing it in theaters, looks fun enough to warrant a few ticket purchases.
  22. The app was being screwy this morning but I got it to stay stable long enough to finish the first episode and hot damn, I loved it. Not too much cheesy humor, which I love, Disney pushes too much cheesy humor into everything they do now IMO and it's gotten old. The show is gorgeous, looks fantastic in 4K, the blend of CG and practical is right on point. IG-11 was awesome, and looked great in motion. The ending though, holy crap, that ending is something else, and carries HEAVY implications for the future, came out of left field for me, very unexpected. I'll have a spoiler tag below that is about the very end of the episode and the big reveal, it's in a spoiler tag so spoilers obviously, but DO NOT click if you don't want to read about the big ending!
  23. I remember reading about this, he got mad and pissy Witcher 3 became a massive success and wanted more money after the fact. Witcher 1 and 2 were moderate successes, they were solid games but didn't really break into the mainstream, then Witcher 3 came along and was game of the year for a lot of people. That was about the time he also started getting a little less harsh on his criticisms of the games, funny how that works when there's a bunch of extra money at stake.
  24. Sorry for the late reply, Mommar filled you in. I usually use VCTOYSBOX for all of my third party Figuarts and 1/12 stuff, seems you already got a hammer set though so you're good to go. https://www.vctoysbox.com/ I too ordered a MK85 gauntlet and Tony head upgrade kit, looks good, won't have to bother with the inevitable Bandai version.
  25. The author Sapkowski has never been shy about his dislike for the stories told in the games, he's praised them from a gameplay perspective, but has never been a fan of the original stories CD Projekt Red have come up with. There's a reason he made them set their games FAR into the future beyond the time of his novels, he didn't want them attempting to retell or alter the stories he'd already written. Understandable, but I also like several of the stories told in The Witcher games, they're top notch RPGs IMO, incredibly well made and engaging.
