  1. The Queen knew of the prophecy and destiny she has tied with Geralt, and didn't want her to go, she knew, someday, Geralt would come for her. Also, a lot of people are terrible in this world, by Law of Surprise a lot of children are taken for a number of reasons. A lot of children that become Witchers are taken by Law of Surprise, witches take children doing that too. Without knowing of Ciri's destiny, she is also the princess of Cintran, she's quite important and worth quite a bit.
  2. There's a number of terms that get thrown around that are quite important too. Trial of the Grasses-The procedure children go through to become a Witcher, Geralt mentions it a few times. They basically feed children poison and if they live, few do, they come out with enhanced abilities then train to become a Witcher. Conjunction of the Spheres-Mentioned by a few characters, it's the event that happened almost 1500 years before the main story we're watching. The Continent, the name of the land the Witcher takes place on, was once only occupied by elves and regular animals, maybe dwarves, I don't remember. The conjunction was a thing that happened where multiple giant portals opened from different worlds letting in humans, monsters, etc. Elves taught humans magic, we killed and hunted elves, monsters are bad so humans started creating professional monster hunters, Witchers. Law of Surprise-If a hero or someone saves you, they may ask for a random favor or something in return, it's a bit vague. The prize/favor isn't always specified before the task, it can happen after and you just have to deal with what is asked.
  3. The haul before Christmas, what perfect timing. I'd been eyeballing the Chogokin Godmars rerelease for awhile, finally decided to pull the trigger. I know Vehicle Voltron is all the rage right now, but I never had one or watched beyond the original Voltron series. Godmars? I watched and had a Godmars, and this thing looks beautiful.
  4. I don't think this is spoiling anything, honestly I think it's better people know this going in, you pick up on it eventually through the dialogue but it doesn't hurt just knowing going in. The timeline jumps from scene to scene in certain episodes, and that's honestly how the first book and several of the short stories that have been adapted play out as well, it is a bit confusing, some scenes take place decades apart. I've read the first book and played all three games, the games don't entirely apply because these books being adapted take place long before those, and the only real complaint I have from an inside perspective is the occasional lack of exposition. A lot of terms, places, and names get thrown around quickly. I can see newcomers getting a bit confused and overwhelmed by everything. Geralt's good not-friend Dandelion doesn't get name dropped for a while, but I do like the actor. Cavill is pretty great as Geralt, he looks the part and he's got the gruffness down, his scenes with his trusty steed Roach are great. Overall at 5 episodes in I'm enjoying it, and I hope we get another season.
  5. I thought seeing Super Battle Droids in Mandos flashbacks meant it was during the Clone Wars, I think he may be more into his 40s or so. The outer rim area of the galaxy is a good point though, many Star Wars stories have been told in those areas due to them being so far removed from everything else, you can get away with more ignorance to Jedi and the force, and I still think it's a quite acceptable explanation. The force has always been difficult for non force uses to wrap their heads around, but Jedi in general, a bit more of a stretch. To be fair, we don't know how well the Empire literally destroyed the history of the Jedi, without actually seeing one in the past, I guess it's also acceptable that they've been all but forgotten too at this point.
  6. I think he should remember Jedi, but not Yoda or Yaddle specifically. They were two masters but they weren't exactly celebrities, I don't know why the general public would be aware of either of them, let alone be able to identify them. There were a lot of different species that were Jedi in the prequel era, I don't know how or why some would be more public knowledge then others. To that point, clearly Mando grew up during the Clone Wars, is he not aware of the Jedi either? I mean, they were generals to the Clone armies, at minimum I feel several characters should at least remember Jedi, and with that, their laser swords and space magic. One more interesting bit from this latest episode, we got confirmation Baby Yoda probably isn't a clone.
  7. Pretty fantastic episode, and a great way to set the stage for the season finale. Also, it was cool to see,
  8. He's an in and out member of the Suicide Squad. Honestly, that's why I'm buying him, with Deathstroke and a Harley Quinn, not sure which I want yet, we're slowly getting a Mezco One:12 Suicide Squad going. I'm building a Mezco Justice League, so I'm in for a Suicide Squad too.
  9. I didn't see a prototype on this, nor any indication this was something being worked on, but he looks pretty good to me. Mezco One:12 DC KGBeast. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/111163
  10. Agreed, it's a really impressive looking figure, and the package overall, with all the extra accessories, is pretty awesome. I have no attachment to Vehicle Voltron, I only ever had Lion Voltron, so in all honesty, I could go without the Chogokin Vehicle Voltron in my collection, despite how impressive it looks, and be perfectly fine. God Mars I watched, and had, the only real drawback was the color, not entirely my cup of tea, but yeah, close enough to deal. So that's it, GX-40R God Mars it is! Kuma posted a few pics a while back and got me hooked on wanting one again, but his photos tend to do that with everything he photographs.
  11. So I have some extra Christmas cash, Vehicle Voltron is all the rage, but I've also ALWAYS wanted the Chogokin God Mars. I wasn't as financially stable when the original released, but now there's a fancy new repaint version out. Any recommends? God Mars GX-40R isn't exactly the colors I wanted, but it's the figure, and it comes with more then the original release, also, it's far cheaper then Vehicle Voltron at this point. Both look like excellent, well made modern combiner toys, so it's a tough call.
  12. I pre-ordered, Bluto looks fantastic. I got both versions of Popeye, the exclusive release was a bit pricey, but I love the white sailor suit and spinach can for the figures box.
  13. That's paid off at BBTS in my pile of loot, got it for $40 on a flash sale. Not here yet, but I definitely got one, you can't have one without the other with those 2.
  14. Black Arachnia is perfect in bot mode, spot on, couldn't ask for more. Beast mode sucks as expected, it's incredibly finicky too, nothing tabs together quite as well as you want it to. I'm still all in on the Beast Wars masterpiece line, but I feel this is definitely it's lowest point.
  15. Looks great but I really don't want to buy into another line and scale, I already bought way into the smaller Bandai Side Labor line. Still, I'm looking forward to your take and photos as always.
  16. With how last night's episode ended, I very much believe that's the direction we're heading in. On another note, Routh was FANTASTIC as Superman, as expected. It needs repeated, he is still a brilliant Clark and Supes, the movie around him failed him :(. This seems to have happened with each Superman movie since the Reeve classics, excellent casting, but the movie around the actor is a failure. Routh did as good a job as anyone could have stepping into the classic Reeve Superman shoes. That classic theme gave me a big smile. Also, I'm seeing a lot of people that weren't happy with Conroy's take on Batman, for me personally, I enjoyed it. Of course, his voice in live action was a bit off-putting at first, but then he keeps talking and you just sink in. I liked his Batman, it inverted expectations, and for Kate, will probably be a big deal moving forward.
  17. HYYYYYYYPE! Despite the leak from over a week ago, I'm still excited, RE2 Remake was amazing, and Nemesis is going to be terrifying me once again like he did all those years ago, I'm ready.
  18. I absolutely loved King of the Monsters, but I'm a massive Godzilla fanboy so every Godzilla movie is fantastic. I'm excited, I need me some King King vs Godzilla reboot action. Also, S.H. MonsterArts when?
  19. As azrael already posted, yes. But he's also a continuation of his Returns Superman, which was a continuation of Reeves Superman from Superman 1 and 2. Very sad and somber road for poor Reeves Superman :(. Joker is a dick.
  20. Pretty epic so far, that first two minutes had some fun nods, 89 Batman universe with Alex Knox from the original film, garbage Titans from DC Universe getting a quick nod, and as expected, a nice little quicky cameo from Burt Ward and Ace the Bathound. So as far as spoilers go:
  21. Looks good to me, I'm in, Taskmaster finally in the MCU is pretty cool, though I'm not super hot on the costume, just give him the skull mask you cowards! I wonder if Bandai will do a Figuarts Widow, Taskmaster and Red Guardian. Also, that Red Guardian outfit looks fantastic. What's the point of this film? To be entertained, I would guess, like most other films. There's no stakes? There weren't in Infinity War either, we knew everyone was coming back in Endgame, still entertaining.
  22. So can I just take some alcohol to this? I have no idea how red got on the underside of the wing, I never noticed this until last night.
