  1. Who the hell invented "star ratings" for user profiles? Did forum software programmers think this feature would perhaps be..."FUN"? How dare they! To have this "fun feature" on MacrossWorld of all places! Disgusting! I'm going to give 5 stars to every member I find sexually attractive (wink, wink, Gubaba)
  2. Very sexah! Nice curves
  3. To say the fictional world in this trailer is the most completely imagined and realized sci-fi I've seen on film in years is an understatement. Wow! Now I no longer have to wonder what Blomkamp would do with a big film budget That said, the trailer was a little more generic than I would have prefered but did hit all the necessary notes. Mecha, battles, social commentary, class warfare, space, good acting, great casting, awesome effects, et cetera. I'll definitely be there opening night for Elysium.
  4. Well then (evil grin), let's not make it anonymous. Take a ride on my suck stick, cocktard I'm joking of course, I just gave you a 5 star rating. Maybe I knew before, but I can't recall having star ratings until reading this topic. Regardless, we all love you Zoroastres
  5. Very cool! Nice colors and shading too. Love them both.
  6. My apologies, I forgot to look for the diagram I mentioned earlier. Here is the picture I was mentioning.
  7. This may be somewhat indicative of the game's success. Still, I am curious about sales figures. Even bad franchise games often do well enough. That's why they keep exploiting them
  8. Supply vs. demand. It's really that simple. We can debate "academically" but all you'll get is an academic theory. Kinda like file sharing, gay marriage, the war on drugs, etc. The world is going one way, but people are trying to go another even when the reality makes control impossible. But I'll digress before breaking the forum rules. Needless to say, if people demand - illegal or otherwise - supply will abide
  9. I respect what he did for my much beloved film and his writing was always interesting and entertaining. He was largely a positive force for film and a good face for film fans. However, I feel his passing very naturally and even find it reassuring to me in a way, that like all life our deaths are necessary for our children to live their own lives. Ebert made his views on many a subject quite clear, especially his disrespect for video games and political motivations for writing reviews. His passing signals a change of guard, a new era where a younger and more open-minded critical establishment to come will write unburdened by the prejudices of previous generations. I hope we build upon the foundation that Ebert built and dare to challenge the established way of looking at all art, as he originally did for film.
  10. Wow, that's one crazy transformation
  11. LOL! That's kinda retro and cool. Poor Japan; they're probably getting hit the hardest by the Kaiju
  12. Type 2 would make more sense, but for some reason Type 1 seems to be the way to go visually. Although I think it would make sense for the horizontal stabilizers on the rear empennage to fold upward/downward into the vertical fin for the Type 1 Battroid mode.
  13. Well, the first episode of season 3 was once again a strong opening to the season. I liked Tyrion's meeting with Tywin, especially getting a hint of the kind of home life he must have had living with those jerks. Margery ingratiating herself with the people of King's Landing was a great political maneuver and I enjoyed how much Cersei hates on her for it. It was also good to see those dragons getting much bigger and nice to see Daenerys with an army around her. I really enjoyed the sequence that showed the giant among the Wildlings. Good effects and nice sense of scale. I immediately thought they looked about 10-12 feet tall just based off the scene and was astonished to find that once I googled it, that is the exact height of those creatures in the book. Overall a great episode and I'm definitely excited for the series.
  14. I'm typically not crazy about Valkyrie girls, but that's actually kinda cool.
  15. Hell, if it works for my website URL, why not here
  16. You HAVE to start a thread about the merit of movies on VHS tape j/k Btw, nice work so far. A different take on the VF-1. Don't agree with some of your assumptions, but I like the work you did investigating it all.
  17. Terrible As always, great art and colors and the likenesses are uncanny. Phenomenal work.
  18. These posters and mecha designs look great. Australia looks like the most Macross-ish one now Oh wm cheng, how I wish i could be there to meet you and geek out over your work. So happy for ya, bro. Bravo!
  19. Not bad. Looks like this time we actually have some interesting character work and story here, rather than just the cliched crap of the last one. Even still, heavy skepticism is always on my mind. They're making these movies to cash in on a popular character, not necessarily because someone has a great idea for a film. I'll be waiting for word of mouth first.
  20. My website does feature a picture of the old cutaway from the Gold Book poster, which displays a somewhat rudimentary internal structure of the GU-11 Gun Pod. http://macross2.net/m3/macrossdyrl/vf-1a-fastpack/vf-1-fastpack-internals.gif There are also some new color diagrams in the issue of the Macross Chronicle on gun pods. I'll see if I can find it.
  21. The problem with working on my site is I bounce around from one piece of art to the next, working upon whatever appeals to me on the day. Sure I finish them, but with Macross that always leaves the other "mode" to scan/color/finish too. In addition to that, I always get into these projects that have larger implications than just one piece of art; for example, I revised the GU-11 Gun Pod...which means I have to revise all gun pods site-wide. Because you can't have one awesome looking gun pod and all the rest looking like crap, LOL! I actually have a spreadsheet I use to track all my projects in various stages of completion There is a truck load of new content finished and ready to go. I just have to complete about half a dozen projects and the update is ready. For the Varauta, the Fz-109A Fighter mode is the last thing left to do and all the Varauta mecha have been revised.
