No, but the idea of a zombie working at the morgue is pretty good.

I think I read somewhere that in modern buildings a door like above is not considered safe - in the event of a fire people panic and push on both sides and so nobody can get out. You still see doors like that but on either side will be regular doors as well.

Make it go. That episode had my friend point out that although in the 24th century most forms of prejudice were dealt with it appears that TV writers in the 20th were still quite capable of making sure the stupid, vicious, and ugly aliens were also fat.

Babies make noise, noise is death. I don't think the show has made any reference to it. My guess is that infants are a pain in the butt to work with on a TV show - which is why Judith is off screen so much.

Back to 12 Monkeys. Anyone else watching it? I really like the characters (especially the scientist) and the plot twists so far. To say anything more gives away too much really.

Yes. That and only advertising in places where hardcore anime fans would visit did them in.

Sarah Brightman, a possible Minmay prototype, to sing in space
Dynaman replied to Saruta's topic in Movies and TV Series
> The style might be a bit familiar too, but thats because 1978 and 1982 are not that far apart. Here it is: It might only be 4 years but it is FAR FAR FAR apart!!! (Disco, blech!) -
The blurays from Japan work fine in US BD players. The SB 2199 episodes are practically the same and were running about half the price of the Yamato releases - but they do not match up since they are 4 episodes each and the first Yamato disk is only 2 episodes. If the current prices are about the same then go for the Yamato named ones.

That spinoff idea actually sounds good. I'm glad they dumped the "backstory" ideas that were floating around.

I have not seen a good movie review since the days of Siskel and Ebert, if that makes me an old fart then so be it.

The fact there are two Ghostbusters reboots in the works is worse. It feels like an attempt to just put out anything.

I have to disagree with Terri Hatcher, she had no film presence before her Bond role, and none after. TV is still where has been (and never will be) film stars go when they lose their box office appeal.

With those kinds of reviews I will be waiting for the DVD to come out on Netflix. Just not going to pay theater prices for a possible dud.

Looking forward to watching this on Netflix or some streaming site next year. I may set the DVR to tape it too.

The Magnificent Seven: A Remake of a Remake
Dynaman replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I really have no problem with a westernized remake of a Japanese movie getting remade. (just writing it out is twisted). This one went downhill so quickly after the first that it is second only to the Highlander franchise in time to insensibility too.- 33 replies

I'm liking this project more and more. Anything that will undo the Alien3 disaster is good with me. -
Live Long and prosper Mr. Spock RIP
Dynaman replied to 505thAirborne's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Strangely enough the thing I'll miss the most is his voice work for the Spock doll in The Big Bang Theory. Now Spock and Mccoy CAN talk about the afterlife.- 54 replies
