    Last time I saw Roger Moore he was looking like a stand in for the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. Looking forward to Spectre. I just hope they start putting more classic Bond touches into the movie, the more "stark" features that added to the movies after 9/11 are just not what I'm looking for in lite entertainment.

    Watch it! My favorite Anime since Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Better then Macross:Frontier (for me, but I am a Yamato convert to Anime to begin with). Awesome news on series 2. Can not wait to see the fleet battles from that series done in modern techniques. Finally on the show itself, I had forgotten a number of things from near the end of the show that tied in so well with the Ark of the Stars movie.

    I thought he sold out. It is not like he needed the money. He should have taken the same deal that the Mary Poppins author took... (if he really wanted to have any say in it that is)

    Plus is OVAs though. Take a mishmash of SDFM, 7, and Frontier. (and here endeth what little joke there was - back to news)

    Further opinion on Dark Matter. It is getting pretty good. They are filling in some interesting background details on each character now with some interesting plot twists thrown into the mix.

    Just saw Ark of the Stars, not exactly what I was expecting but excellent none the less. Quick recap without giving away anything - take the hokey existential bits from the original Yamato and make it excellent - and you have Ark of the Stars.

    Correct, Captains can negotiate deals but they are not ratified till it gets back to the entire government.

    I'd agree with one caveat, mentioning "The Fifth Element" and Lucy in the same sentence is kinda insulting to "The Fifth Element", OK more than just kinda...

    "Lucy" needs a mention here as well, though not AS bad as Jupiter Ascending that is merely a matter of degree. I think the writers were sniffing glue when writing that one.

    That is probably the best short description for it. They did try though, only problem is they failed. A good zombie film is not really focused on the zombies as such, "Night of the living Dead" was about racism, the one in the mall was about consumerism, etc... This one tried to be about a dysfunctional family but just didn't pull it off.

    I managed to read some wargame rules through the whole movie on Sunday. It is not horrible as such - just totally forgettable. It was a new take on the zombie movie theme that just fell flat. With some slight tweaks to the script and perhaps a better director (or different one) this could have been a very good film.

    I love Danger Mouse! Inspector Gadget should have had the DM team update THEIR theme song. As for Heroes Reborn, I thought it was a miniseries this time around?

    Disney is going to wring the Star Wars universe dry. On the plus side it is not a Boba-Fett movie.

    Just saw it yesterday and it is crap. So many things wrong I can't list or remember them all, highlights (lowlights...) 1 - Momma is a murderous psycho till Chappie comes along and then she is all nice and mommy like? Really? 2 - Pappa is a murderous self centered psycho till the very last scene and then he is a selfless hero? Really? 3 - Computer programming scenes - OK no movie gets this right but this one was up there on the STUPID scale. (It is what I do for a living.) 4 - So many stupid plot holes I lost track of what was a hole and what was passable. 5 - Computer guy nearly shot (only reason he was not was somebody knocks gun away from Poppa) and then threatens to tell the police and more or less calmly walks away. (lots of stupidity like that) 6 - Security at the robot factory is egregiously bad, might as well put up a sign saying "free weapons and stuff!" 7 - Wolverine's character (forgot his name and the actor's) was so horrible it is not even funny. I guess he had to be since the "heros" were scum of the earth at best. 8 - The ending, world shattering science relegated to schwarmy crap. One plus point (and this is it) Chappie's FX work is outstanding, when he moves it looks REAL.

    > What is Dr. Bashir's motive here? What about the Prince in Jamie's custody? Dr Bashir had nothing to do with the killing, if/when he finds out the lady that did do it is either toast or will have to kill Dr. Bashir too. No idea what the fate of the prince will be.
