    Top Secret - great stuff! Agreed about the Wolf bit being sloppy, and it was not the only sloppy thing about this episode. It was at least MUCH better then the last one - but that is damning with faint praise. Wolf Guy - Forgot to ask previously, is he the same actor from The Hobbit (snivelling toady dude in Lake Town)?

    And Yoda is best referenced by Spock when accused of lying by Savick "I exaggerated"... Which begs the question, since both YODA and Obiwan knew Leia was the other child of Vader why they didn't start training her too.

    Hey guys, any chance of keeping this to actual new when (yeah, yeah, I know) something actually happens? I'm not even going to bother going anywhere else for "news" on this topic and popping in here every update takes more effort than it is worth...

    Yoda actually could not defeat the emperor, he tried, failed, and knew he would never get another chance like that again - with just himself and the Emperor. The difference is the Republic (or whatever it is called) and Luke were more than powerful enough to stop the neo-empire if Luke had acted.

    Yes, actually it was. The neo-empire started due to Luke's ditching the scene (the only fully trained Jedi) to someone who had to be pretty evil and most likely a Sith. Plot wise it was easy to see why this was done - to give the new characters a chance to be the heros. For Episode 8 they have a good bit of backstory to fill in - now that Luke (probably) will get some actual screen time we will most likely get that backstory.

    I think Arnold's days with Terminator are done. Considering his last few films have been mediocre box office at best he is in trouble of being sidelined for good. Hopefully King Conan will be a winner.

    That "Smell Bad". Times have changed and I doubt they will be able to get anywhere near the charm of the original but a remake of it does not seem too offensive - other than David Bowie just dying - even that I give a little bit of a pass on since I heard rumors of this before he died. How they will do the music for a new one is the real question - it is like Flash Gordon without Queen music.

    Just saw, part of, Splice and it gets my top nod. Too many problems to list so I'll list the positive - it came out of the DVD player without a hitch.

    And funnily enough the planet still has an atmoshpere and snow on it when it is getting ready for the second shot. Like I said, best not to overthink it or it goes poof.

    Everyone is overthinking again. This is Star Wars, you over-analyze it and it goes poof in a cloud of logic. StarKiller Base being a prime example.

    You forgot the "all of the above" answer to the quiz! Personally I'm glad it was pushed back, one year between films is a good pace.

    Probably the best way to describe it, other than out and out retcons between films, is that the force is powered at the speed of plot. (to borrow JMS's description of how fast ships move in the B5 universe)

    7 is what 4 would have been if Lucas had KNOWN that there would be a 5 and 6.

    I know it was mentioned earlier BUT it is worthy of many many many mentions!

    The problem is that Vader was not only in close proximity to Leia for a considerable period of time he also grabbed her shoulder and NEVER noticed she had the force. Considering how others go about and can tell just by looking at them - long before said person (Annakin, cough) manifests any power - that is a continuity problem.

    Vader NOT knowing Leia (and Luke till Empire) was his kid and is strong (*) with the Force is another one of those little continuity problems, best not to even try to explain it away... (*) - though we never actually see her do very much at all in regards to using the force, at least on screen - knowing Han died is about it. (novels and comics, don't officially exist)
