  1. I've only seen the first two episodes, DVR missed the others. Looks to be a decent show but not up to Battlestar Galactica's gotta see it levels yet. I saw the first episode of "Childhood's End" and found it to be a decent adaptation. With the holidays I have not had time to watch more yet - watching Star Wars and Empire Strikes back in preparation for Force Awakens on Wednesday. To finish this rambling bit of a post, I got to watch the episode of "Lost in Space" where Dr. Smith and Will go into the robot to try and shrink it back down to size, terribly silly but I liked it.
  2. Redoing resurrection as part of the 2199 continuity would be nice (heck redoing everything after Yamato 2 can only be for the better). I have to admit that a second Live Action film titled "Space Battleship Andromeda" would get my money.
  3. I despise the movie (what I have seen of it) but everyone around me seems to think it was excellent.
  4. In this case it is a live action Star Blazers film.
  5. ^^ That right there. Did the theaters break a contract or did they take an out clause that is in the contract.
  6. I fully understand Mr T's point of view, doesn't change the fact he is whining. The movie business is a business and he should bloody well know that by now.
  7. I once again have to bring up that Onion (I think) headline. Star Trek fans hate new Star Trek film, call it "Fun", "Exciting"
  8. I can't believe people here are remarking that the possible destruction of the Enterprise is any kind of problem. The original Enterprise was destroyed how many times? Including the A,B,C,D,E,etc...
  9. I like it. Granted they might be showing ALL the action scenes in that one clip and I have never been in the "JJ ruined Star Trek" camp, Gene Roddenberry nearly did though.
  10. IMDB lists her in the credits. I thought I saw a mention of her not doing any after this so perhaps another actress is playing a younger version or something.
  11. I thought that was the dumbest thing I have ever seen. And I've seen the first Transformers movie... Can't think of a best fistfight.
  12. I must be getting old, I don't think a certain word starting with F makes for good comedy.
  13. Usually I hate clip shows but in this case, the very first time I turned on Robotech this is the episode that was playing. Good enough to convince me to watch the whole thing. Eventually leading to real Macross, DYRL, etc...
  14. I think he still upset that Romana is smarter then he... Speaking of which she needs to make an appearance someday.
  15. As much as I liked His FIRST Batman movie (the second was dreck, only made watchable by all the other sequels) it most certainly had the Burton vibe to it, which would never have worked for a Superman picture - even more sore considering the excellent work done on the first Superman film that it would have been compared with. As Keaton, time has shown that he was more than capable of tackling serious roles, the same can not be said for Cage. With the exception of Moonstruck, and that character seemed to have been written for him in the same way as Keanu Reeves character was written for him in "I Love You to Death". (any proof showing that Keanu's role in ILYtD was NOT written specifically for him I will not believe...)
  16. They graduated to the big leagues! (late summer releases are for the movies that a studio spent a good chunk of change on but are not sure about while May releases...)
  17. And being Stein's Gate there is everything right with that happening!
  18. I don't even need to see any of that article to know why "Superman Lives" was a bad idea. 1 - Tim Burton, I love his work but he is NOT IN ANY WAY APPROPRIATE TO DIRECT A SUPERMAN FILM... 2 - Nicolas Cage as Superman? Are you kidding me?
  19. Agreed, I liked but on reflection there are some whopper plot holes in the thing. On the plus side we got to see a stock Tardis once again. On the minus side (without also being spoilery) - if the Time Lords have a gun that is deadly, why is it not actually deadly to a TIME LORD? (unless you shoot them a dozen times in a row I guess).
  20. That whole after the credits scene is so totally whacked out it is hard to find a spot to start unraveling the stupidity of it.
  21. Just saw the after-credits scene. If that is supposed to be any indication of something great, well, they messed up nearly as bad as the "drop your guns" scene in the basement. As for the Snow Plow - yup, in reality the walkers should never have been able to take over very much - as shown in Fear the Walking Dead, nobody had any brains in that show. Which is why NOT showing the start of the plague in Walking Dead was a good idea.
  22. Which are really kinda worthless against anything but an armored vehicle. They do not have a very large explosive radius (being made to punch a whole through something HARD) and would not kill any more zombies than a single bullet in most cases (maybe if you had 10 zombie heads lined up perfectly in a row...). A giant auger - THAT would be useful...
