I think the Sentinel toy line is the ultimate Mospeada collection. The best yet, and the definitive one. Quality, design, engineering, color, aesthetics, fidelity, etc etc... Well done, Sentinel.

Hahaha, I've also been saving Macross 7 for the exercise bike. My wife loved SDFM, Macross II, and Macross Plus, but after about six or seven episodes of Basara and Planet Dance, she vetoed Macross 7 off the big screen. I didn't appreciate it as much back in the '90s, but the character art in M7 is really spectacular.

I think there's a directed purpose for that development.

Two coats before bedtime. Back at it tomorrow night for another coat or more. Regardless of the outcome I’m really enjoying this process. It’s very calming and its randomness makes it exciting. Main armor is Mr Color 21 Middle Stone over mahogany primer. Wanting to do some markings in an off white and I’m thinking the Neupanzerschrecks would look good in Mr color 512 Russian Green ? Not sure.

Metal Structure is the super detailed super gimmick top of the line Metal Build is the next step down thats smaller in size 1/100 and has great detail in both frame and accessories with a full alloy skeleton built in. Metal Robot is the next step down with the cool designs based off of gunpla kits. More plasticy , less detailed but also a lot more friendly on the wallet. It really just depends on which figures you want Metal Robot Spirits has a better/wider selection where metal builds are seen 2-3 times a year and Metal Structure is seen once every 2-4 years and costs in the thousands. im sure I left something out or if im wrong someone please correct me

For junior high and high school students yeah. IIRC, the series had a Sunday 11:00am time slot when it first aired in Japan.

So... "A Space Adventure Hour". I made it to exactly a minute and thirty-seven seconds before I needed to stop and take stock of what I was looking at, because my mind simply refused to comprehend. I want to see the blooper reel from this episode's production so very badly. That the cast keep a straight face while delivering this dialog in this way shows absolutely gargantuan self-control. I would be on the floor.

I didn't have the original TF1 leader, just the Voyager. I had the RotF leader, though, which has a transformation that's kind of similar to the MPM. I'm curious to see how the new SS figure will turn out. I thought the original Voyager was just ok-ish, hoping that going leader will afford him more screen accuracy.- 17454 replies

Regarding TF1 Optimus, the OG toy was a pretty impressive bit of toy engineering especially for a company that had basically been making simple blocky bots up to that point. One huge positive that came out of the live action films was the paradigm shift in Takara's approach to designing TF toys. While I haven't messed about with my copy of leader TF1 OP in many years, I still recall the complexity and brilliance of that figure's design. I likely won't buy the next version, but I'm definitely curious to see how and if Takara can improve on that original toy.- 17454 replies
