    No, but they did scale it back down regardless and I suspect it was because the ergonomics the classic bridge setup possesses begins to lose cohesion with larger spaces. Echoing the massive ring of nothing that the writers seem to have inherited from Discovery. While all that may be true, it still expends fuel (deuterium/ antideuterium) which is extra mass they must carry (the old conundrum more mass= more fuel= more mass). I'm not saying it'll "make or break the ship" per se, but that the thinking behind this is not solid by any measure and lacks the fairly tight economy of some previous starships.

    @tekering What a cool discovery and looks like you are well on your way (= Yeah I think the 4 builds going on thing is just because I’m some sorta sicko. Hahaha. I imagine my dedication to drinking copious amounts of coffee probably is a contributing factor. Who’s to say? Besides that I’m rather chill. 🙃

    Powerglide, Warpath, and Seaspray were such annoying characters. I understand that they wanted to make them colorful, but the over-the-top-ness of the voice acting just lost me, even as a 13-14-year-old who loved the first season and really wanted to like the second.

    It turns out there's a TIE variant in The Empire Strikes Back I never even knew existed: This barely-glimpsed TIE shuttle delivers Captain Needa to Vader's Super Star Destroyer. I've decided I can kitbash one using existing toys, just as ILM kitbashed their model from existing parts: I'll just have to scratchbuild some of the exterior detailing. I wish I could concentrate on more than one model at a time... Even planning an upcoming project interferes with progress on an existing one. The more online research I pursue, the more I ignore what's lying on my workbench! 😓

    I just got the latest update - the finish line is getting closer: "Good News! The Alus Edition Artbook has been approved for production - a massive 248 pages of Macross minutiae! And we are going to include the names of all the backers in the book!"

    Well, that basically defines all secondary canon, doesn't it? 😇 Official "mook" sources like the Macross Master Files are full of such extrapolation, even if it may occasionally contradict what was inconsistently depicted in the original animation (or vintage promotional art). This is a distinction best applied to terrestrial installations, rather than units assigned to operations in space (where the "aerial" classification is less significant). Thus, Destroids assigned to the SDF-1 may sport the traditional UN Spacy roundels, whereas those assigned to Earth bases would have the reverse-color roundels.

    I can't imagine what this movie will have that makes it "Matchbox". Cars are just cars. I have literally seen this exact movie 10 times in the last 4 years.
