  1. Past hour
  2. I like the TV version better, DYRL looks like a low vis camo tiger scheme ... LOL
  3. @Papa Rat - Man! That recon scout came out GREAT! Good job! I LOVE the texture of the brushing! Yeh, you got luckier than I did on the decals, none of mine survived, they all just disintegrated. I wish I had gone back in and gotten rid of the two seams on the front now where the body comes together on mine, but back then, I didn't have the skills. No pics, but the 1/1000 TOS Enterprise got detail painting finished up and ALL her decals this weekend! She's alllmost ready to depart Space Dock! šŸ˜€
  4. Did somebody already painted the Sentinel tread?!?!
  5. Mailman dropped my Tread (store exclusive) from Nin nin this Friday morning. Finally after 6 years I can now open these 2 together! Lol I'll put them out of the box this afternoon. I'm afraid I'm going to need a bigger shelf...

  7. Yes, of course the shuttle scene is from ROTJ but most of the dioramas in the set are from ANH. In my head I’m trying to come up with a story why all these dioramas should be inside the first Death Star. That’s why I said I can explain away the shuttle ramp since the first Death Star probably had one, even if it was not shown on screen in ANH. However, with the throne room I cannot do that. Probably because it features so prominently in an iconic scene from ROTJ and there was little to nothing of the Emperor in ANH. So in my mind the Death Star 1 was Grand Moff Tarkin’s flagship while the Death Star 2 was the Emperor’s one.

    Hi-Metal R

@Swoosh The pictures are great, but in the wrong thread! I'm not a moderator but this should have been posted in the Votoms thread! This one only covers Hi-Metal R "Macross" items! šŸ˜‰
  10. Nope. She gets a good night's sleep, then pays the scalper markup. Doesn't even hesitate.
  11. Guess she never has to worry about Macross collectible preorders, huh?
  12. When I first opened the link, I was like, "what 18 Euro for a bootleg of this size, yeah, I'll have to try it regardless of the potential lead hazard". Then I realized the price is actually for the stickers. 🤣
  13. Because Lego + Disney know there's a large number of SW fans that got to have it all regardless the price. They could package in a SW branded box actual rubber dogpoo and sell out. First key in any business "Know your customer". And do they know it. As I brought up earlier, this isn't a Lego toy for kids nor an actual display piece for adults seeing all the inaccuracies for that price. It's just a expensive slapped together "homage" gimmick for those willing to spend this kind of money for home deco. PS, the shuttle section really is intended to be from ROTJ.
  14. Interesting. In looking at the different sellers selling Valkyrie Factory stuff on AliEx at the moment, the one that still has the clear covers (as well as strike packs) now has a PO up for GITD stickers for the Yamcadia SDF-1 to make it closer to a PF, as well as mini valks and destroids to scale for it. That's irresistible. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256809172465008.html https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256809083776895.html https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807497365316.html
  15. i wonder when Amazon USA will ship out
  16. This is the part that also sits wrong with me. To my knowledge the Death Star 2 is much bigger than the Death Star 1 (and much cooler looking with a much better looking main laser shot). Yet we have dioramas from both movies, and Darth Vader’s meditation chamber was shown to be on the Super Star Destroyer from ESB. I know why they did it, because they wanted to catch all iconic scenes from both Death Stars but for me this makes the set even less desirable, because it is confused by its own identity what it wants to be. So it is clearly the Death Star from ANH. You can tell by the shape of the laser bean and because in the hull section below the main laser there is no interruption in the hull, where it is not finished shed. And while I could argue away that the first Death Star had an Imperial Shuttle (even if there were no Imperial Shuttles in ANH I believe) and a similar looking landing bay than the one from ROTJ the throne room diorama sits really wrong with me. In the first movie there was little talk about the Emperor or that the Death Star was meant as his personal vessel so I find it really off putting to have it there (again I understand why it is there). It could be that there was a scene with that throne room on the first Death Star in other media (and the meditation chamber) that I am unaware of.
  17. Maybe it was ChatGPT-5 being retrained after the laughable release this week. AI companies love data and their bots will scrap from where ever, how ever. There was a report out this week that Meta has a new lawsuit for training their AI on torrented p0rn (probably to train their filter šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø). You can bet AI companies are just flat out ignoring and bypassing htaccess and robots.txt.
  18. You prolly need to try and implement various tarpits on the site to at least contain these AI crawlers.
  19. Yes I saw multiple AI bots crawling the site starting this last week, hammering the hell out of it. I've got htaccess and robots blocking as many as I can, but they are just ignoring. We have a LOT of data here these last 25 years, 1.6 million posts and hundreds of thousands of pictures. If any AI really cares about Macross its a lot of stuff to digest!
  20. I got my VF-27γSP Revival and am little disappointed that the hips were not as tight compared to the recent VF-25F Tornado or Armored Ozma Revival release. The legs aren't floppy but can definitely tell they're loose.
  21. Why is this $1000? You can buy the entire Titanic for under $700 and this thing is only a slice of the Death Star?!
  22. It's happening all over for the last week or so, so much so that a bunch of web hosts are now saying they will block AI crawlers by default.
  23. Yeah. That's why I said "if." It would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath on any of that.
  24. Could be a bunch of people training their AI's. It happened to me at the end of December on my small—very small—website (bots were using up the monthly allotment of bandwidth in a matter of days). It stopped when I added a no-bots file that excluded everything but Google. Here's the script that I used in the robots.txt that stopped the hemorrhaging:
