    That is glorious, dude. 😍 I'm not going to disparage anyone's opinions, but there are a couple misconceptions that need to be addressed: While it's possible you found Katee Sackoff or Grace Park attractive, there's nothing sexy about Kara "Starbuck" Thrace or Sharon "Boomer" Valerii, either as written on the page, portrayed by the actors, or photographed by the production. In fact, series showrunner Ronald D. Moore deliberately avoided objectifying either woman (nor any human characters on the show), wanting to emphasize stark realism and gritty drama. The only character overtly sexualized is Number Six, a Cylon. The original series, on the other hand, is full of sex appeal, with Maren Jensen (Athena), Laurette Spang (Cassiopeia), Anne Lockhart (Sheba), and Jane Seymour (Serina) often appearing in flowing off-the-shoulder gowns with plunging necklines. The 1978 original was definitely sexier. 😋 Heck, even the guys showed more skin! 😆 In the 21st century? That was never gonna happen. 😅 You're right about that. By trying to be more realistic, NuBSG featured much more understated costume and production design, and Bear McCreary's music has none of the soaring, operatic grandeur of the classic score. "Adventurous" and "goofy" are the complete antithesis of the Galactica concept, even as originally conceived by Glen A. Larson. The miniseries was outlined as a desperate war for survival, and only became an "adventure of the week" after ABC suddenly expanded it into a full season of television. Executive meddling resulted in a tonally-inconsistent, goofy mess that was even worse after the network retooled the series and slashed the budget for its second season: Will any of you try to defend Galactica 1980? 😝

    I feel like it was a missed opportunity not having him do a Cock a Doodle Doo when he was on the edge of the cliff. If you’re gonna give us a joke of a character, then you gotta use that joke to it’s fullest

    I think I saw them in an auction as resin kits. Digging that alpha version of the Alpha :). The wings look super strange though so fighter mode might be goofy.

    I didn’t hate the remake, but it did make me rewatch and really enjoy the original much more. The old one had very minimalistic things going on, but it really was great fun and much more enjoyable overall

    $219 without a figure seems really high for the cost. It’s not like it transforms and has articulated legs and arms the $149 for the five figures is a bit more reasonable though since it is the full set

    It’s not that, it’s that the animation looks terrible on the new fist of the North Star. It kinda has that ugly berserk series from just a few years ago kinda look to it. Sorta more like a cheap video game cut scene from an old PlayStation game. The old Fist of the North Star looked so much better than what they’ve shown so far and that show is like 40 something years old at this point

    The most interesting things in these pics are the Variable Glaugs. I wonder who's making them and whether they're just garage kits, like Experten's, or actual wide-release toys? The VG has been high on my toy want list for a long time.

    I don't own an MP Blaster, and I've been fine with that as he just never carried the same importance as Soundwave, but oh man do I want that Steeljaw. Hopefully they'll make Ramhorn, Eject, and Rewind for him as well and sell the cassettes as either two or four packs.

    18cm is Voyager-ish sized. I don't have a ruler to double check, but iirc Hasbro listed SS86 Optimus as 18.5cm, and Megatron (despite being the same head height) as 21.5cm.

    Was traveling on business so waaaaay late this season. Frieren 2nd season, started it playing catchup. I do have some high hopes for this season considering the things they can cover. Sentenced to be a hero, I am only 3 episodes in and its pretty good so far. I am in for the long haul at this point. Oshi no Ko 3rd season, Once again I am waiting till the series nears its wrapup this season before I start watching it. 2nd season kinda killed this series for me, but I am willing to give it a go... later. There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her, I have been DLing it but have not started it yet. Fate/strange Fake, another I have been DLing it. Honestly though I have had enough of Fate/Beating a dead horse. SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table, I have seen 2 episodes.. not really my thing I guess. Its not terrible but it doesn't sit right with me. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2, Illegals S1 was entertaining. Not into the My Hero franchise other then this. You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends!, 2 episodes in.. and well... at least its straight forward about what it is. For now I will keep at it. An Adventurer's Daily Grind at Age 29, the only title I am current on. Its not bad, not great either but its entertaining. TRIGUN STARGAZE, dunno. I bailed on the first remake. I can't see this being any better. Wash It All Away, I am only on ep 5, its not bad. The culmination will probably be her getting her memories back. Its pretty light hearted, and a relaxing watch. The Demon King's Daughter is Too Kind!!, I have it, but not started it yet.. like other this season Isekai Office Worker: The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter, pass got 2 episodes in and I am not into BL. Vigilantes S2, 29 year old adventurer, Frieren, and Sentenced to be a hero are my gotos at this point of the Winter Anime season.

    My head-canon is a mix of both series, dumping most of the Nu story and going with most of the original intent, using the newer ships and with a mix of TOS and Nu series characters. Though I did turn Apollo into a hot chick played my Lucy Lawless... This is my reworked Galactica, build from two Pegasus kits.

    Nice, I’m totally sick of seeing world war 2 armor kits everywhere. I love the designs and all, but almost nobody posts things anywhere of anything beyond that era of armored vehicles

    To me the Overgear releases are meant to fit in with the Diaclone Reboot toys. They seem to have the same design language play features and construction as these toys. I think size wise they might fit in with either the MP or Movie MP line but to me the difference in style is far too garish. [edit:] the Anime Export site mentions that the robot is 18cm tall which seems to be a bit small for MP scale. Once I am home I could measure the height of my FM Warhorse to be certain .
