Likewise. Jetfire already represents an excellent Macross crossover without compromising the valk to impart another character's likeness. Thanks to Harmony Gold, we'll never get a proper official VF-1 Jetfire again, so I'll be satisfied with FG-01 (supposed to be delivered on Wednesday- been a long wait). Any interest I may have had in Basara Prime has all but ebbed; I'd rather they just gave us a proper VF-19 and gave it a Transformers name as they did with Jetfire. IMHO, by kludging it with Prime, all they did was ruin a truly beautiful transforming jet, which, historically, is par for the course with Takara/Hasbro, more's the pity. I'll just stick with my Arcadia and Bandai Macross offerings, thanks. I'm thinking the Evangelion Prime mash-up is going to be equally tragic. I, like so many fans, love the iconic look of the Evas; mixing their thin, lanky design with the boxy Optimus design will serve only to egregiously erode what makes the Eva so visually distinct and appealing (to those who like it, anyway). I think this whole line is geared far more towards Prime collectors who need to have every incarnation of the character, as the collaborative partners, like the VF-19, are being dealt the greater compromises. For a Macross fan like me, the beautiful valk designs are the main draw, so corrupting them to shoehorn in a Transformers' character's traits renders the appeal nonexistent.

I guess my FG-01 will be my Transformers x Macross Collaborative. I would have wanted an official updated G1 toy Jetfire VF-1S as a Macross Collaborative for many reasons but oh well. Definitely skipping Basara Prime.

Their Dana in armor was similarly metallic, but at least the color scheme was more-or-less accurate... ...but every color on their Zentraedi soldier is WRONG. 🤨 Where it should be black, it's silver. Where it should be grey, it's purple. Where it should be brown, it's bright red. Where it should be dull lavender, it's hot pink! Cyrus must be colorblind. 🙄

Was browsing through a few old folders, and found pics of the updates I had planned to the UCS Imperial Shuttle. Still a long way to go to update the entire wing mechanism, but the engine section and cockpit were pretty well ready to go. I was never really happy with the way I tried to redesign the side intake vents, but considering how many more curved elements have been introduced since that point, maybe it's time to revisit the update. I must say, I was always incredibly happy about how cleanly all of those angled panels came together to shape the rear of the cockpit section. I never did get to build it though, so I have no real firm idea of whether it was actually structurally sound.

I like the design, even with the third leg cammode. But,as usual with these newer designs, they all look better animated. It is a beautiful kit, indeed, but.. Ya, kinda me too, i won't even buy a fishing rod or reel for that kinda cheddar. And i still need to build my MG V2 Hi Nu..

I was looking at the price for this thing and even without the led set, I can’t justify the price. PG kits used to be a bit pricier, but still affordable for the size, but now I feel priced out completely

What'chu talkin about? Strange New Worlds is pretty darn good. That and Lower Decks are the only decent Trek we've gotten in the modern era.

I've seen video of him praising Andor's writing, particularly its handling of the Empire, at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023. He seems to hold it in high regard, though in some other interviews he also seems to want to cling to Star Wars's kid-friendly roots as one might expect from a guy whose entire portfolio is spinoffs of a cartoon. That certainly seems to be the case. If nothing else, he's passionate about the job. That is... yes. That's it exactly.
