It does, but I get the feeling that James Gunn handles chaotic storylines better than most

Yeah, seems to be way too pricey. Most people are comparing it to buying a brand new gaming console and with the LED set would be like getting at least one really great game to go with it

Chicky is an entertaining one, but it should be a two pack

Finally had time to watch the final batch. Glad that it didn’t have the usual restart first episode talking about stuff that happened off screen. I really liked the first two episodes of this batch a lot. Lots of tension and really felt like things were moving. Overall for the season, it felt kinda mid with a few really great episodes here and there and a few that were pretty cringy. As far as the series overall the first season was far better but I think I need a rewatch of the movie as that would actually be the real end to the story.

Today marks my first year on this forum and first year building. In celebration here’s my first build in all of its sloppy glory including glue fingerprints and everything. I’ll just call it weathering. I used rattle cans with limited color options and some enamel hand painting. I found out that using lots of panel liner makes plastic brittle since most of the fingers broke off and had to be glued in place. lol. This kit is what started it all for me and glad to have taken the leap. I’m an old fart and better late than never.

It would be great to have a couple of those! -
Was wondering if there's listing of what ones come with what color heatshields--at this point in time, it can be hard to tell what's original vs replacement when buying off Mandarake or Yahoo.jp or ebay etc. And Yamato especially had a nasty habit of photographing prototypes and putting those pics on the box---then changing things (like heatshield or backpack/leg coloring details) for the actual release. Specifically, I'm wondering about ones that may be molded in color vs painted that color, and stripping off Jolly Rogers markings etc. Are black ones always molded that way, always painted that way, etc? Same question for red. *talking about the V2 mold, not the OLD mold

YOU'RE YELLOW! VF-25F turning all sorts of colors
David Hingtgen replied to armentage's topic in Toys
My 1/60 Roy DYRL VF-1S has recently turned yellow similarly. NEVER exposed to sunlight, always kept in a windowless room. And for the past couple (5+ actually?) years, kept inside its windowless box in the closet. It wasn't yellow at all when I packed it up. Unpacking it a few years later--yellow. -

That... that... that... was very silly. Yet also... hugely enjoyable. Possibly the highlight of the current season for me! And once again, Gatwa does rage so well. Before he goes, whenever that is, they have to get some Daleks in...

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Seto Kaiba replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level season two has lost a lot of the wit and charm that made the first season enjoyable. All I can really say for it now is it's bland and inoffensive white noise. Classic Stars... yeesh. Seven episodes on and still as unintelligible as ever. On a lark I decided to check what its rating was in Crunchyroll's app, and it's barely holding onto a 3... which considering you have to REALLY screw up to get below 4 on Crunchyroll is pretty impressive. Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? remains pretty watchable, if rather formuliac. The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows has not really improved in any way. It remains, as it has been, one of those isekai-adjacent, low-effort, generic power fantasy titles. In other words, the laziest kind of slop imaginable. For my money, this season's standout is The Apothecary Diaries S2. Just as enjoyable as season one, and with the promise of quite the explosive payoff at the end of a major story arc from the light novel. -
Reissues at a large markup for toys that the small & diehard Macross fanbase would have already purchased years ago. Also, Delta was just a terrible show. Frontier was a much better show, but its toy line is well over a decade old now and really needs to be rebuilt from scratch. And of course we can't get any OG Macross stuff directly thanks to a certain money laundering operation posing as a, uh, production studio? I'm not even sure what they are at this point.
-
It's a reissue and not only is it limit 1 per person, but when you buy it they take your picture at the store and use facial recognition software to make sure you're not leaving and repeatedly coming back to buy more copies. So it's not really something you can scalp all that easily without an army of scalpers.

Very excited for that. Strange New Worlds might not be the most groundbreaking Star Trek series out there, but it really does a fantastic job of recapturing that lighthearted cameraderie, that feeling of high adventure, and the sense of wonder that was such an integral part of the original Star Trek and its successors in the 80's and 90's. Even my parents, who are OG Trekkies, absolutely love Strange New Worlds. They've been eagerly waiting for news of when the new season would drop ever since I first got them to watch the series.

DX VF-31J Super Siegfried (Hayate Immelmann Use) Revival Version
WhatBoutMyStar replied to sh9000's topic in Toys
There was a shop (Flip Side Gaming) a couple weeks ago that was selling the Revival 31J for $130ish. They also had the Revival 171EX for $120ish and Bogue's 262 for around $180. Doesn't help that this was the 300th time the 31J has been released and you'd figure anyone who wanted a 31J would've already bought one by now. Regardless of that, I think it's pretty clear at this point that Macross stuff just doesn't sell well in the US. -
