  2. It's more or less the same as your hypothesis... just slightly narrower in scope since the New UN Gov't initially apparently didn't consider more civil war a possibility.
  3. Sure these are months, and years old respectively, and out of stock. But you can see for yourself how their pricing is automated to behave. This is not regular retailer behavior. https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/metal-build/139288-metal-build-mobile-suit-gundam-00v-gnt-0000fs-00-qan-t-full-saber-tamashii-nation-24-limited-bandai-spirits-.html https://www.nin-nin-game.com/en/gundam/21906-mobile-suit-gundam-seed-astray-powered-red-150-gerber-straight-power-option-set-limited-edition-metal-build-.html
  4. Not exactly sure what this comparison is alluding to. Mandarake is 2nd hand store, TNE is not retail. This only speaks well of Mandarake, so I'm not making the connection of how this is contrary to my view of Nin-Nin being shadier than 2nd hand stores, exactly such as Mandarake. TBF, I have never had any personal issues in dealing with them. They do as expected and you get what you pay for. I just have been looking at their prices of things outside of freshly opened POs, and how their prices change on slightly older low stock items, until its priced out of being desirable at all, and then the single unit's price drags on into museum worthy price tags months or years later. If you order from them right when PO opens, and never browse for things you missed, you will never notice the pattern of their pricing. They do also have clearance sales on random items that they somehow deem less scalpable. But once you look at the more collectible items, or some very drawn out preorders, they stop looking like a retailer and more like an artificially self fulfilling antique store. Any other japanese toy retailer I've seen tends to stick to their lane as a retailer, and don't meddle with artificial scarcity and pricing. Their warehouse policy is just one of the more rigidly inflexible and short term ones. Nothing particularly foul, but is another factor to consider.
  5. Heck yeah! No rendered pixels at all, just AI estimates everywhere!
  6. That's a more boring explanation.
  7. Today
  8. That’s a real mix “Oh Cool” and “Oh No” at the same time. The old models are the “Oh Cool” part Althogh, if you got a fun group of friends, some drinks, some snacks and have fun with bad films, then it might end up worth it then again, make it a double feature and watch Psycho Goreman right after it for some real fun.
  9. Yep... that and other fodder for licensed spinoff comics and short story collections where the Glup Shittos of the Galaxy Far Far Away get their time to shine like the polished turds they are. (NGL, a late night talk show starring a Hutt is a weird mental image I kind of actually want to see tho. I have this bizarre mental image of a Hutt squeezing itself into a suit and tie doing a Stephen Colbert-style late show.) It's a noodle incident at best. They were off on some nonspecific mission and someone saw their faces on the way out so Cassian removed the witness. Could've been a literal milk run anywhere there are wanted posters of them up.
  10. probably by 2027 we'll need a RTX 6090 to play it with DLSS 5.0 path tracing and super frame gen
  11. Macross Chronicle's Technology "Macross Galaxy Fleet Technology" (a Macross Frontier movie one) suggests the New UN Gov't was worried the Zentradi might use cyborg tech to become more of a threat if development wasn't carefully supervised and restricted. Basically, the didn't want Zentradi cyborg supersoldiers in the next Zentradi riot.
  12. There was a sale going on for an EU shop for the May 4th Star Wars celebration so I bought Jabba’s Sail Barge. Now the only thing I’m missing for my Lego Star Wars collection is an UCS Imperial Shuttle. I greatly dislike the old UCS one (the color scheme and the cockpit; I also don’t like the wing construction but I don’t think you could do better at that scale) so I hope Lego revisits it in the future. Oh, and while I have a Minifig scale B-Wing (75050) I think a bigger one in the style of the $100 X-Wing would be awesome.
  13. Old model, and G-saviour.
  14. I've only really shopped there for pre-orders, but so far I've seen Nin-Nin have one of the lowest prices on recent Macross pre-orders like the Arcadia SDF-1, HMR VF-19 & VF-2SS, and the DX VF-19. But man, it sounds like you've had problems with them before and have issues dealing with them again. I can relate to that.
  15. John Carpenter's (They LIVE) son.
  16. Yeah, the style of that movie was weird, but I am absolutely on board for some fancy sets recreating it. I would absolutely pick up a new UCS Batwing from that movie as well, since I think it would need to be that size before you could get the style replicated well.
  17. VF-25S.

Yep. Nin-Nin-Game must be scalpers.
  19. Oh yeah, that sounds about right. It is actually hilarious they provide an option for weeks between searches.
