Looking back over the 1/55 VF-1J Heads there are quite a lot of variations and interpretations! I like the Toynami interpretation. And weirdly like that they kept the thick antenna for the 1/55 toy design.

Looks like they reworked the heads.

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
TehPW replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
hmm... is that a IRL aspect of how drones are used in services (like the Globe Hawk)? or this a SYB2202 rational: They literally don't have the crews to fully man those Class-D ships...? -
^^There’s a good handful of folks that have commented about it. . . . And the circuit board look of the internals.

Its Macross Chronicle Mechanic Sheet mentions that they can be/are remotely controlled from the warship side instead of manually operated. -
I would recommend that whatever shade of white you paint the VF-1S, add a slight bit of pearlescent white to it to give it a slight metallic sheen, even when flat coat is applied.

Thanks a ton. I’m always wanting to learn something new. Honestly I am just faking it the best I can and have some happy accidents along the way like Bob Ross would say “rip” 🥲 Do I dare ask what mole technique is? lol

Seto: Where is it stated that the Destroid Cheyenne II's on the MQ and ME-class ships are drone/slaved to a Fire Control system on the ships? -
Looks good, and really liking the new sculpture of the 1J head. The 1S could use a bit more height and resembles this mash up way too much. Top half Takatoku and bottom half 1990 Bandai. It can’t be unseen. Since these are prototypes, I am sure it can be corrected.

That is some clean and sexy mole technique. I am still contemplating my paint process for my project and always look for insight when possible. Thank you and keep building more awesome kits. -

New Battlefield going back to what made the series great, scale and destruction, sounds good to me. I grabbed Ready or Not on Series X and I'm really enjoying, controversy aside, my main issues are bugs and the graphical downgrade.- 6951 replies

I hate the idea of bootlegs, but I just can’t afford $100 plus shipping or $134, plus a little less shipping. I’m totally priced out on these

Yay!!!!!, I heard there was something coming for Battlestar Galactica, and I’m super happy with that scale. The figures look great and the viper looks awesome. Maybe a cylinder fighter as well🤞
