The General Movie Thread
electric indigo replied to TangledThorns's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Quite a lot of high-calibre actors assembled there. And fwiw, I found the last one (The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) more entertaining than I expected.- 1872 replies

you guys gotta remember... The BrutishDog was purposely designed and intended just for Battling. Also, it's the only AT that Chirico 😎

Although I think the little clips are weird, I’ve never been sure of how the weapon functions. I don’t think they ever worry out before designing it since it’s a rotating Gatling design, with an extra barrel in the middle for odd reasons. But I do like the side claw thingy. I don’t think old school Japanese animators were the best weapon designers. I love the Gouf from Gundam, but those finger guns are silly. And where’s that thick heat rod rolling up into. And there’s that ammo capacity thing again. It also has an heat sword, but it behaves like a beam saber, so is it solid or energy? And although I love the look of anime beer can missiles due to nostalgia, they’re pretty stupid outside of space use. Anyway, I kinda just forgive the Brutish dog for being designed at the wrong time. So I don’t blame the Brutish dog, it didn’t want to be created that way and always should have had an ammo belt to the backpack and a sight down the middle, but I do blame the designers for not doing the bare minimum of research. Char is hoping you dig his machines as well

I don’t blame you. Although some variations that were done by hasegawa might not be done by Plamax. But to be honest, most of the variations would only take a little bit of work to mod. Others like 1A or 1S variants would only require a head from another kit and some paint

True it doesn't make much sense! but maybe since she is a PS she just needed a couple of shoots for the kill! But I think that's why the gatling gun on the RSC is being feed from the backpack! But it still looks cool! It's the colour that I like the most!

Never been a fan of the Brutishdog, as I've always felt that that it was pretty silly having that heavy Gatling gun on the arm being fed from that tiny little stick magazine. Yeah, I know it carries spare mags dispensed from the backpack, but given the large calibre of the gun and the small size of the mags, the mag capacity has gotta be miniscule. The Brutishdog is usually the one Scopedog toy or model that I never buy. 😅

Macross delta Novel Volume 2 Translation.
Captain Global replied to Captain Global's topic in Movies and TV Series
Yes indeed, in fact I'm cross referencing between two translations, one with Google docs (the main one) and another one I did previously with a image translator and Deep seek. It still has problems and I try to do as much correction as possible, when I finish I plan to do a compete revision for the definitive PDF. For example It switches constantly between first and second person. In chapter 6 I'm going crazy. -

I understand nostalgia, but why would you ever want the old one when the new one looks like this? There's just no comparison.- 17830 replies

I’m off loading my Has GBP-1s. All in on Plamax.

Sadly... no... I also received my Focker GBP today and have a desk covered in Macross7 toys. I was thinking I might do a comparison of the Robo-dou to the the HMR when the standalone HMR Scopedog is released in February. When I do that, I'll probably do the music video version comparing the regular release robo-dou to the heavy weathering version.

I've long advocated for Silverbolt to be a B-1. the XB-70 would be cool, too, but the B-1 has far more in common with the Concorde, is an active military aircraft (I used to work on them- no picnic for hydraulics techs), and has plenty enough real estate to easily hide a robot in disguise. We can agree to disagree. I dig the B-2ish alt mode that Don Figueroa cooked up for Megatron. I see where you're coming from with the B-1, but honestly, I'd rather that alt mode choice went to Silverbolt. Moreover, the B-2's not exactly quiet - granted it's no B-1 in full burner on takeoff- you can feel that in your chest from 2-300 yards away, but it makes some noise. Likewise. I've just about quit on MP scale due to my severe lack of space. I'm running out of space for my mainline stuff, and there's still more coming that I want and will get, like the rest of the Combaticons (Bruticus is my favorite combiner). That said, if they start dipping once again into IDW designs and Megatron is on the table, as I mentioned, I wouldn't mind seeing his update upscaled to voyager or leader scale. I know those labels now refer more to budgets than actual sizes, but most of us have been in the game long enough to understand my meaning.- 17830 replies
