Hell yeah! Excited to see this take shape. I totally forgot about the contest. Might have to finish that GroBer Hund I started awhile back…🤔

I like the Burn when it was an attack. Your enemy finds a way to turn all of your ships into bombs and goes for it, heralding a millennia of upheaval and darkness. Perfect. But then they took the meat out of it for some sap story of misunderstanding and happenstance. STD() had some good story ideas, but no good follow-through.

They're all still prototypes at this stage; only the first "Gluu-ger" has been mass-produced.- 2559 replies

Gonna try and get this lil guy done in time for the hlj machinen Krieger contest. Not sure if I got enough time, but it is a little kit and not really expecting to win, just trying to get it done for fun. Gonna try a couple things I’m not used to like armor texture and painting a mustache. Seriously, out of all the lil dudes in models over the years, this is the first one I’ve ever had that actually has facial hair.there were a lot of seams, but luckily they were only on very simple rounded shapes, so they cleaned up well. Gonna try and make the joints look like worn out fabric covering. Probably gonna try and make the whole thing look like it’s been around a bit longer than it should. Also gotta make a stand. forgot to mention that I found some spring that was just slightly bigger than the hoses, but they fit super snug over them perfectly and at least I don’t have to try to hard at sanding those

Saw a better picture of the card and it’s an Orange Cat release.

I've been using Macross 7 as something to watch while on the exercise bike. It's not bad for what it is, there's not so much fast dynamic movement and the character drama that's not about Basara is more engaging as an adult than when I watched it off of IRC rips in 2003. This Sivil arc though, it, uh...they put this on kids' TV show blocks?

At least it has a nice nose? Haha Cheapest on amazon.jp for me as a local. Will think about it but I'm not that keen... The "tank" mode looks like an Alpha fighter in gerwalk mode.

I'm so glad I dodged all these Yamato bullets. This would rage me into Hulk mode!!!

Not everything has to be a high end collectable with perfect transformation designed over many years and cost a limb or two. For what it is, I believe it's great. Love the Gundam eyes too. I'm not pulling the trigger though due to the eventuality of white plastic. Will wait for final price and other colour schemes.

I have my Hikaru 1J in battroid mode and absolutely love its lines. No guns, no fat packs. Just pure valkyrie. I remember queuing up at Akiba on release day to get it, was a quaint experience as it was the first time ever for me to queue up for a hobby thing.

But would tariffs screw up the pricing? 🤨 Still waiting on the Item Shipped notification from Amazon Japan for the Tread.

Marvel Studios Fantastic Four: First Steps
Mog replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just got back from the film. Surprisingly better than I expected. Like that they played on how flawed Reed is, having all that guilt, being too logical and scientific at times, and always thinking about worst case scenarios. Characters are kinda consistent with how you'd expect them to be, without being overly annoying. There's ribbing here and there, but there's still love underlying their interactions. Galactus and the Surfer were solid. Though, I do wish I had subtitles a few times, as I couldn't make out what Galactus was saying here and there. Old age and too used to subtitles at home. And as a dad,- 130 replies

Marvel Studios Fantastic Four: First Steps
Big s replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I think Leo was the only one you listed that had any complaints, but those were usually silenced once people saw that he was picking some better and more challenging roles for a while. As far as race/ gender swaps, I’m usually ok if the actor can pull it off and the movie turns out to be great. That unfortunately doesn’t always happen. It also sometimes gets a little cringe when it gets overdone like what happens with most red heads, but if the actor or actress can truly deliver then it gets forgiven.- 130 replies

That's interesting considering that both Menasor, which I have, and Superion, which I don't, both utilize the somewhat controversial frame system, the purpose whereof is to impart greater stability over combining the limb bots directly a la Combiner Wars. I have CW Menasor and Bruticus, and there's no argument that they suffered stability issues, whereas my copy of Legacy Menasor is far more solid and stable. So, the frame system is proven; however, by all accounts, thus far, Legacy Devastator, which combines by attaching the limb bots directly is also quite solid, rendering the necessity of the frame in doubt. Personally, I wish they'd rely less on it, if not determining a way to discard it altogether in preference of direct limb bot attachments, which is true to the OG toys. To the point then, I find it most interesting that, having handled the framed combiners and the new Devy, you feel that Devy is the more solid of the bunch. I'm curious if the rest of the fandom will share your assessment, and whether that assessment, if largely in agreement, will influence how Takara/Hasbro design any future combiners beyond those that are likely already designed for 2026.- 17444 replies
