  2. Maybe try that fence, but beat it up and soak a heavy wash and then dry brush some light color like old bare rotted wood or something
  3. Today
  4. Sort of? It's not Xaos's fault that the PMC division was financially unprepared to wage an extended war without the financial backing of their client government. Their contract with Ragna and the Brisingr Alliance was to suppress Var outbreaks and provide preventative measures. Legally speaking, they weren't supposed to be participating in the war at all because they are not strictly speaking soldiers. In truth, what it really shows is how wildly popular Walkure were in that part of space. Walkure were able to raise enough money to resupply Xaos's PMC division forces for continuing combat service in a single cluster-wise "guerilla live" event over the Galaxy Network. They livestreamed a concert to two dozen or so planets and it made enough money to fund a small army for at least a couple weeks! What must have been hundreds of millions of dollars at the very least.
  5. In other words: they're hosed.
  6. Love the suggestions. I think I’m leaning into a chicken or goose and smaller animals. I feel like those animals may survive some apocalyptic events. Small and able to reproduce fast. Also maybe a Rabit could work? I like the idea of included some detritus showing signs of what used to be a farm or human element like the fence or maybe even Brocken boards. 👍 I got work to do. Lol
  7. Check out @jenius’ reviews on anymoon.com. He’s got reviews of almost all the Sentinel Mospeada items. Also, got reviews for most other company’s Legiosses/Alpha fighters and Ride Armors/Cyclones. The reviews will give you a good sense of the pros and cons of each release or rendition.
  8. For farms, you could do a simple bit of fine dirt over the Elmer’s glue. Just make sure it’s watered down you can even add little bits foliage that could give a small grass look. Then lock it in with some watered down Elmer’s. You’ll probably want to at least dull coat the base if not totally paint it. But as long as the glue is thin enough, it often dries clear. You can also take things like flat wood coffee stirs and run a coarse sand paper once slowly in a single rough uneven pass to give it more of a worn wood grain kinda look and build some fencing. My understanding is that farmland in Machinen Krieger is rare due to the holocaust, but not totally unheard of after the attempts to repopulate the earth. So something odd like a farm scene on the edge of a desolate area might be an interesting use of those animals
  9. Oh, I have no doubt that it's a true statement because of those factors. Xaos's PMC division is neither the largest nor the best funded PMC operator out there. Nevertheless, the Xaos PMC division's branch office on Ragna is based out of a large Macross warship with two attached aircraft carriers. The upkeep and operating costs alone on the Macross Elysion, Aether, and Hemera have to be pretty darn substantial. When all's said and done, based on these low-end rough real world estimates, just showing up to a fight costs Xaos about $151.9 million dollars... and at the time Xaos is worried about money, they've just lost their only client. Windermere's occupation forces are not likely to let the Ragna government continue cutting checks to Xaos, and to be fair Ragna's government isn't likely to feel obligated to keep cutting those checks either considering Xaos screwed up so bad that Ragna ended up occupied by the enemy. Your average large corporation has enough funds to sustain operation for around 12 months without any revenue before going bankrupt. Small businesses or companies with large operating costs tend to only have around 1 month's expenses in reserves at a time. Considering operating on a war footing is exponentially more expensive than peacetime, Xaos is likely operating without a huge "war chest" of funding since their main operating profile was low impact suppression of Var riots. So it's completely believable to me that they could have eaten through practically all of their cash reserves after losing multiple battles and having to flee from the Brisingr cluster with a ship full of refugees in tow. Especially since they would now have to be sourcing all their supplies from outside the cluster, which is likely to drive costs WAY up given how remote the cluster is.
  10. Is Sentinal Riobot really that good these days? I remember getting a Eva-1 from them about 10 years ago, and while it was beautifully detailed to the point of having a micro-honey cone pattern within the transparent plastic, it was so light, flimsy and loose, that after a day I repacked it and sold it.
  11. If only Takatoku implemented these details into the final toys. The red and blue landing gear covers always seemed strange. Also the head lasers could have been color matched to each respective 1J for Max and Milia.
  12. Paint is almost done. I like all the weathering that came with just the brush painting portion of the process. I also did a small amount of preliminary damage with fine grit sandpaper buffing to some areas along with a few slices with a file. Now It’s time for decals, to then more weathering/chipping and then painting the detail parts like lenses and any touch ups. I am unsure as of now if I’ll top coat it? I should be getting that 1:35 animal set delivered today so I will be making a small diorama stand. I have never done before so any advice is welcome. Might just go in the backyard and get some dirt and tiny wood pieces and use good old Elmer’s white glue.
  13. I'm only a TF dilettante, but I caved on the Void Rivals Jetfire mainly for the o-ring (Joe-ring?) figures. I mean, Jetfire is cool too. But I might pawn him off on my friend who is more of a TF fan than I. I also recently bought both Missing Link Lambos due to Lambo FOMO. I love the Countach, and Sunstreaker was the first ever transforming car toy, so I kinda had too. And I want to support the Missing Link line out of hope for eventual Seekers and Fairlady Zs.
  14. Yes! And much like the Sentinel Riobot, I'll drop everything I'm doing to get to it. I haven't preordered one yet though... tough to judge who would be able to ship it to me the quickest.
  15. I recognize it. 1997 ARII vinyl figure, from their Macross 15th Anniversary line. I made some minor modifications to mine. 😉
  16. They’re taking so long with these sequels that he’s looking like he graduated from college already
  17. Imai is one of those older companies that had some pretty great sculpt to begin with for that age. It took Bandai a long time to catch up, and even when they started getting better, they just used Imai’s old kits instead of making their own
  18. CHURCHES! PLUM PUDDING!
  19. Aha. Thank you. Is this for Metal Robot or Metal Build? This is great. Thank you. Yeah, the Metal Builds I missed out are quite expensive on secondary. Will wait for eventual re-releases. Metal Robot has my attention as I prefer the smaller scale and lightness on the wallet, but Gundam designs that interest me yet there.
  20. Official Review of the Macross F 2025 concert. Some parts of it is misleading as it is talking about Day 1 especially towards the end. https://macross.jp/contents/967693?fbclid=IwY2xjawL6wuxleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFyTWhoQm14QTRzYkZ2WlBUAR6ltI8NUf9yNg_MQoKfD5-doUqkasf6nBHjFDxmf-lDKjYw2BYkjX98jMd2CA_aem_u5wzYLIHWlYqUpYqWowUCg May'n costume - White gown, Blue Military, Sexy strap, Pink coverall and lastly Sheryl inspired costume from the 1st Movie. My Review will be more from the perspective of viewing from the cinema. Meanwhile at Aomori....... Something different at 4.06-4.10
