  1. Past hour
  2. if only Bandai will unscrew its head from its ass for a bit, so that we can officially have a Mirage armour release from them... https://twitter.com/itachi_neko/status/2040070447866564821 sample snap:
  3. Yeah I picked up some of the Vallejo putty. I'll try to fix the leaks this weekend. Should be an easy fix. Don't think I'll attempt any other fixes as I'll probably just make it look worse.
  4. The teaser image looks great. Probably one of the only replacement heroes that I actually like. That and Phantom, but his whole backstory has always been about a lineage of replacement, so not sure if that counts
  5. As far as these second season announcements, I’m surprised that Wonderman is getting a second season. The show was totally boring and other than me and my lady trying to power through it, don’t know anybody else that even bothered with the show. Even in the marvel shows comment section here, I only saw that one other person watched it. Must be really easy to secure those second seasons lately
  6. Today
  7. Eh, I’m enjoying the show well enough. It’s basically a Star Wars underworld story with characters that are not completely good or evil. Even the lead investigator falls into this with an estranged wife and his being an absentee dad to his son. We’ll see how the story and characters pan out. But there’s enough here to keep me interested.
  8. Teaser for Laser Powered He-man
  9. Hamil is also a voice actor and Filoni is a cartoon guy with lots of power in a world with very few production studios. Never trust the praises of a working actor.
  10. It’s so super subtle in fighter mode that I can’t see where the Kai and Optimus forms meet. Wow. 🫠
  11. Seems to be a bit of a pattern lately. Didn't The Acolyte initially pre-announce a second season and then walk that sh*t back after audiences laughed the show out of town? I'm not so sure. Starfleet Academy was absolute dogsh*t, but it at least made an effort to appeal to both die-hard Star Trek fans and casual viewers alike. Maul seems to be a creatively bankrupt exercise in pure fanservice that has no appeal to speak of outside the die-hard Star Wars fandom. The plot doesn't even make sense unless you've seen, and clearly remember, Maul's return and his extremely short-lived stint as a crime lord in a tertiary story arc in an a cartoon from over a decade ago. It's a pretty cringe-inducing in its own right given that the 51 year old co-president and chief creative officer of LucasFilm served up a story so thinly written it feels like it came from recording a ten year old playing with their action figures. Kurtzman's actually a pretty capable writer of action serials and mindless action movies... he was a writer on the likes of Transformers, Hercules: the Legendary Journies, Xena: Warrior Princess, Alias, the Hawaii Five-0 reboot, Sleepy Hollow, etc. He's just hopelessly out of his depth when he has to actually develop characters. Remember, the OT cast have historically described George as a terrible writer whose work needed a lot of polish to be remotely usable. What was it Harrison Ford said to him? "George, you can type this sh*t, but you sure can't say it!" Saying someone "knows George's (creative) sensibility" feels like a backhanded way of saying someone can't write for sh*t.
  12. 'Preciate the info. Seems a fairly straightforward toy to transform, although it does have some locks, like the crotch vent, that necessitate a certain order of operations so as not to break it. That said, hints like this are helpful.
  13. Mark Hamill giving Filoni some deserved love. 'He Knows George's Sensibility' — Luke Skywalker Actor Mark Hamill Gives New Star Wars Boss Dave Filoni the Thumbs Up https://www.ign.com/articles/he-knows-georges-sensibility-luke-skywalker-actor-mark-hamill-gives-new-star-wars-boss-dave-filoni-the-thumbs-up
  14. I hadn't even considered that possibility but now that you mention it, I'd love a version in Skywarp's theme.
  15. Hobby Japan Web has an interview with Koichi Takazawa "Wave" and their continuity of development of their 1/24 scale kits wich we should know soon what the next release should be.... The new kits are quite nice and detailed, But lack the paint application from the Bandai Hi-Metal R line but are also made for the modeller! But I think both lines are the best we can get at the moment in both toys and models! Maybe the golden years of Votom's? just hope they don't overdo it and people have no more interest when the marked is flooded.... But for now the releases from both Bandai & Wave have a high degree of quality! 🤗
  16. The nice thing is that it's water-based, as opposed to the Tamiya stuff, which is more lacquer solvent-based. You can just use a wet q-tip to wipe the excess down while its wet so there's no sanding of any extras. It's too bad they got the B-deck stripe colour wrong, I think I might re-paint that light grey and do a wash on the saucer edge sensor bands but otherwise it seems like a pretty nice representation (if I ever get mine and the seams aren't too bad) https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CgLE81yPn/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EgrP6kLh2/
  17. It would be cool if they produce it in the Seeker colour scheme.
  18. Well damnit, now I need to buy anotherr valk......
  19. I've found the legs are much easier to deal with if you open things up a bit. Pivoting the smaller nose wing part first allows you to pivot the chest, wings, and arms up out of the way.
  20. You mean, like Paramount did with ST: Starfleet Academy?... I do think D+ will have much better returns with what is just the pointless filler that is Maul than P+ had with the THE MESSAGE-bloated cringe-fest unintended parody that is Academy, but the decision to approve a second season without proving the viability of the first comes from the same place unearned confidence and arrogance. At least in Filoni's case, CG animation is his wheelhouse, though he should steer clear of Live Action; nobody has been able to ever find Kurtzman's forte, other than being a consummate BS artist.
  21. ThreeZero - Robotech - VF-1J Veritech (Max Sterling) ROBO-DOU 8" Action Figure x 3
  22. A 2nd Season? Its creator and showrunner must have really impressed one of the heads of Lucas Film. Just imagine how good it must be to approve a 2nd season before any audience or critic feedback. Filoni is blessed to have Filoni working for him.
  23. Finally received my 40th Anniv. Hot Rod. So relieved to have not gotten a lemon and the weeks of waiting and worrying are finally over. Just the usual minor qc stuff that took a couple of minutes to touch up. I was so focused on the updated colors of this release that I never really paid attention to the accessories, and when I got it I just felt kinda indifferent about the color update... either deco is fine with me. But what I never realized I wanted or needed that came with this release is the fishing rod! It's probably the only accessory I'm gonna be displaying this Hot Rod with .
  24. Schway! Yeah, that's gonna a must-buy.
