Same! The new films are mostly better than the rubber suit Godzilla we grew up with, lol.

(Genuinely asking) please help me understand how'd that worked out with the Arcadia Macross I pre-ordered last year from HLJ, that now has 4X shipping fees and cost reflecting this year?- 2589 replies

I'm in for all Godzilla, Minus One, MonsterVerse, Toho and Legendary, I love all Godzilla equally. Toho delivers on thoughtful Godzilla, Legendary delivers on Showa Godzilla with a US blockbuster budget, I love it all.

It would be pretty wild if they couldn't pass on costs that didn't exist previously. My impression from Kickstarter is that the protections lie almost entirely with the company, not the backers.

RIP Diane Ladd. Diane was in a lot of films but my favorite was David Lynch's Wild at Heart with her daughter Laura Dern. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/diane-ladd-dead-alice-doesnt-live-here-anymore-wild-at-heart-1236416794/

I'm not sure they could pass those on to us now, although I haven't consulted the fine print.- 2589 replies

I did once ask if we could get a new bridge sold separately...never got an answer from them.

That reminds me - whatever happened to the Segway? For regular people it was mostly a waste but for the disabled it could have been modified and be a massive help. Those in wheelchairs might have been able to "stand" and "walk" with it and thus be able to go a lot more places. (like that chair in an anime, the CGI Harlock maybe) -

I think they said there were changes with the bridge vs the older version, could we get any pics from those that have it?
 -
Probably worth skipping again. Those movies are pretty bad

I was thinking the same about this one, there’s a few others popping up that look like fmp designs lately. It was mostly a gundam knockoff thing, but seems they’re branching out a bit lately.

Yeah, could they have found a harder curved subject to try to do in Lego?!?! I gotta see it from other angles before I make any judgements - however I do love all mini-figures.

My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's is good today again, I started reading the light novel and they really added a lot of stuff to the anime that isn't in the book. The battle with the cat and Amelia's sister is must simpler in the book. -
Not FMP related, but this upcoming model called a REA-03 Lynx, made by Sunday Hobby, certainly looks close to an Arm Slave: Third party companies are dropping some slick designs lately.

	Mine just made it!

Out of curiosity, what are these going for now? I may need to decide if I want to sell mine, or buy another one.
 -
I agree but I think the focus groups say otherwise, lol.

Airbrush is probably preferable and less annoying. I did each of these via hand brush, but the Tamiya clears are a royal pain to hand brush. (And I’ve hand-painted a ton of customs over the years.) Have to dab or tap the clears onto the visor, instead of the typical brush stroke. Set the visor down on a white background or white paper towel too while dabbing in the smoke paint. That way you’ll be able to tell how much of a tint you’re applying. Very easy to go too dark with the smoke tint. Then just finish off with the clear color you want.

Boy, that's definitely.. something. I kind of feel like they really should have attempted an easier subject than this one on the first go-around. Specifically, all the blocky layers on the saucer kill any illusion of curvature, to the point that I feel a pixely-looking stack of plates would be a huge improvement. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but it feels like the standards set by their Star Wars sets have gotten almost impossibly high in comparison. As a specific thing though, the deflector looks.. better than I expected, but still feels like it needs a central printed dish added in the middle.
