  2. Makes sense. Disease won't rip through an entire unit, and can't be attacked by a custom-engineered bioweapon that targets a specific genetic sequence. On the other hand, it results in soldiers with diverse heights and builds, complicating supply of equipment. But the protoculture seemed to have solved supply lines with their typical excess. Which serves to be ironic as when humans started to clone themselves to bolster their numbers to avoid extinction, they had to stop because they came across the issue of hereditary children's diseases popping up 2 decades after. It seems like DYRL made the cloning process a bit more uniform, as the trio seem to be a lot closer in size then they were in the TV series, not mentioning how Exsedol and Britai doesn't have as noticeable of a height disparity as well.
  3. If @guyxxed can provide a .stl file of the head, I can print it for you in high-resolution photopolymer resin.
  4. Excellent take of that famous pose!!!
  5. It is along shot, does anyone here do or know who can do a 3D printing of the head of the Bandai DX VF-31A? I am trying to a custom mod of my VF-31J DX.
  6. Love Dunk & Egg, but I have to wonder how they're going to deal with Egg's actor aging over multiple seasons if they have a lot of downtime between seasons. If they aren't releasing a season every two years, he's going to age out of the role.
  7. Hey Seto! First hi! It's been awhile, and second. Do you know how they compare to the Hi-Metal releases? Am tempted to buy the Silvie and Nex versions to complete my little Macross II bluray release shrine. The hi metal look nice, but am not sure as I have never bought one. Thanks again and good to see you!😁
  8. Ordered my first HI-Metal R Figure. I have always wanted a Red Shoulder Scopedog and finally pulled the trigger. I also ordered a Chirio Cuvie 1/6 Statue. Both of them are on the way.
  9. The og version was probably the last of the old school figures I ever owned
  10. Is the Night-Viper a kit bash? For such a cool design this one isn't that impressive.
  11. I still have all my Binaltech/Alternator figs. I didn't have a complete collection, but I had the majority of the main characters. Out of all of them, the Mazda RX8, Suburu Impreza, and Ford Mustang molds were, IMHO, the best, the Mazda being my favorite. In spite of liking it, I never did get the Shockwave version, and I do believe I had opportunities to pick it up. I was good with Jazz, so I didn't bother double dipping even though I did double dip on some of the other molds. The vast majority of my collection is packed away and I've not seen them in some time, but I remember their being some impressive toys for all the working features and details in their licensed car modes. The bot modes often suffered, however, from lackluster articulation and generally a fair bit of cumbersome kibble. Still, these things approached then MP levels of engineering and retailed for about $20 (for the all-plastic American Alternators) and about $50 IIRC, for the Japanese Binaltech versions which had a fair bit of die-cast, which gave them a heftier, more premium feel. Ah, the good old days when toys were reasonably priced and widely available, for the most part.
  12. Not only that, but an android communicating and making buddies is kinda a bit too soon. The next movie will be a buddy movie where androids aliens and predators are just on a road trip
  13. Villain Decayβ„’, brought to you by the Borg.
  14. Hmm... I dunno, my hopes are not high for this one. After rewatching the first couple Predator movies, I feel like it's not a great idea to make a Predator the protagonist of the movie. IMO, what makes the Predators work as the sci-fi horror movie monsters they were/are is that they're inscrutable. They couldn't be communicated with or understood. They were just these aliens hunting people for sport because they could. Once you give them dialog and have them explain their culture and the context of their actions to the audience... they're just rubber forehead aliens like in Star Trek and there's no pivoting back to horror after that. Basically the same mistake Alien: Earth made by revealing you can absolutely just talk to Xenomorphs and control them with language.
  15. It has not been specifically addressed.... I updated/confirmed my address info as they requested...maybe (hopefully?) they will include the "Adam" figs with this phase of the Zentran figs for all the early adopters that did not "cut in line" via BBTS....lol...
  16. Any plans to get Yellow and his bike?
  17. Aww heck yeah! I believe Alternator Shockwave was my first Transformer as an adult. No longer was I too old for toy robots!
