  2. Oh boy!!!! That’s going to be good. The 1/100 are so big. This is a perfect size.
  3. Looks like a prime painting station, @derex3592. Have to agree that the 1/100 VF-1 is looking very sharp, @Papa Rat. Those mods were well worth it, @Chas.

  5. Was on taghobby and saw some more gold goodness in 1/144 for Volks IMS line

  7. Thanks! It took me a bit, but I finally got it to work! Now I just have to find/ print ones for the 22 inch (1/537) cutaway TOS E that I'm working on. The ones that came with it are the wrong font and the wrong size; since this was a find 2nd hand, I cannot get replacement ones without paying a chunk for them. ANd that's also not counting a replacement dome for the split one they included for the one war engine that's cut in half (trying to build a whole one). Looking pretty decent there Chaz!! Between both modes, the details flex and fluctuate quite a bit (ran into this when I was rebuilding my 1/3000 Matchbox SDF-1).

  9. Looks really great, that old kit could easily be mistaken for something newer
  10. I didn't even know it was robotic; I wouldn't even call that a "lucky guess" so much as Macross Chronicle revealing something we didn't know. I just mentioned it in passing over Macross and replacement limbs/ implants. With that revealed, I suppose he has a post implanted that the leg attaches to and allows for some dexterity/ feel?
  11. There are absolutely a ton of ways to reconstruct the original UCS Imperial Shuttle that would be much more accurate to the original shape, and just more solid all around. Embedding several layers of ratcheted hinges in the wing pivots would be a great way to start, since they have a much lower profile and would give better support than the old crankshaft design. I've been waiting for them to get around to a redesign of that one for years.
  12. @Papa Rat Thanks! I'm SO stoked! That VF-1D looks like it just came off the assembly line!
  13. Wow! You made that old kit shine. Great job.
  14. It's just confusing, no other Amazon does that.

Couple extra pics-heavy duty bomber (4 arms!) and a exo-type power suit for the Marduk, pretty wild!
  16. Little update on that old 1/100 ARII kit. I think I will finish it up tonight. It’s getting close and not looking too crappy.
  17. Looks great! I bet you are stoked to get back at it.
  18. Cautiously intrigued and assiduously withholding any opinion or judgement until it either impresses or disappoints...
  19. Is that for the web exclusives or include the general retail stuff?
  20. yes, that was implemented the 2nd half last year.
  21. Its been a bit of a mixed bag - first one was pretty but felt like a lot of ideas not really gelling into an episode, second was good fun but maybe a bit rushed and third was all round pretty great (and for a show often mocked for its "bubble wrap" monsters, its amazing how much value the rebooted series have got out of I do really like Gatwas Doctor. When they allow him to, he can be downright scary and I really hope he gets the chance to meet his most famous old foes...
  22. Y'know, I'd always assumed that Millard Johnson's prosthetic leg in Macross Plus was a conventional prosthesis... but it appears you are correct. His Macross Chronicle Character Sheet explicitly refers to his artificial leg as a "robotic prosthetic".
  23. Today's other pick-up, a very nice G1 Thrust, complete except without the box. I always liked his Lancaster style twin tail design over the other Seekers (and, yes, I know the Lancaster has a different rudder shape but it's the most famous twin tailed aircraft from where I'm from).
