With all the talk about the Nousjadeul Ger, I was wondering if there’s any info on the pack in the right hip? The left hip has what looks like a simple armor piece, while the right looks very different like there’s a purpose

Noted. Hahahaha. I think it came out great but I see what you mean by it having some Christmas vibes. Thanks so much for sharing. Mine will probably look like either Barney the Dinosaur or a strange eggplant. Haha

Whats the little yellow triangular thing in the far right of the main cassette deck form image?

very festive, you should find a way to hang him from the tree around the holidays. You can have a very merry Macrossmas

Would have been really sad I missed out on this concert but they require JP phone numbers so I was never getting a chance. No live viewing in my country either. This just goes to show how good the music of Macross Frontier was. After so many years it can still sell out concerts.

Whatever colour scheme you choose, make sure to darken the colours. Mine ended up looking too much like Christmas...

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread

I got my Ventus a couple of weeks too. I think I like him better than Ignis. Ignis is just too simple, too chunky and because of the all-in-one nature has weird feet too. I can accept it more in a smaller figure like Ventus. What is odd about Ventus in alt-mode one odd thing is the color placement. It always looks like the middle piece of the helicopter nose is tucked in too far. Until I noticed, that, because the landing windows in the front are painted, that it looks that way due to the frame of the windows. It looks super odd to me. I don’t want to compare Ventus to the other leg bots since they don’t have to do much in combined mode other than turn into shins (they don’t have integrated feet or ankles) but Medicus is definitely the better of the two arms. I just don’t like to stare at blatant robot thighs. I wonder if MMC will consider releasing a toy style upgrade set for Maximas Pro. While I like the one for Bruticus I think MMC shot themselves in the foot with it. Now people are arguing online about that these are not truly all-in-one combiners because of MMCs official upgrade set either out of ignorance or malice. I would love to get bigger feet, a red clip on lower abdomen piece and a Studio Ox style chest plate.- 9331 replies

I thought it was average. I can't really remember what happened in it. No memorable scenes. Saw it opening day here in Australia. Great to see a mix of generations in the audience. Alot of kids turned up to watch (although it's school holidays atm) Was hoping it would create a new generation of fans. Australian audiences can be tough to entertain. Silence through out the movie and upon leaving.

Thanks for all the great source material. I am liking that deep eggplant purple and dark gray. ♥️
-
I remember the gray being a bit darker in the purple one, but it’s one of those things where the colors seem to change depending on the screen shot or the source. The wiki site is closer to the ones I remember, but I’d have to see it again in the show. I remember the box was really off from the ones in the show. here’s a screenshot of the purple one and it has the dark gray and also gray feet

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
twich replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
I am curious to see if we will see a continuation of the SV-300 through SV-303 research for the next enemy(bad guy) variable fighter and go a whole new way for the next hero valkyrie design. I wished that Bandai had made a toy of the SV-303 instead of the SV-262 color change for Con Vaart in red. I love the design of the SV-262Hs/Ba, but the transformation in toy form causes me anxiety. I hope that we get some news/teasers/something this year. Twich -

I saw it tonight and thought it was great. Luthor is a bit annoying, but otherwise it was a fun movie, it didn't take itself too seriously at all. If you give it a chance you might have a good time

For your next phase, get some cheapo TVs and put them against the background with a moving starfield. I think we could all pitch in $5 to collectively make it happen

Have you decided on which version to paint it as?

Cool. Thanks. I was tempted to get purple power but chose LA Totally Awesome based of early recommendations and the name. Reminds me of something from Wayne’s world! Lol Wonder if IMAI was like, “well we have a bunch of this color so let’s use it.” Hahaha. @Big s Grey and white makes sense to me. So I am in phase two of putty, glueing, and sanding on this little fella. I think I need to shorted the cannon stand a couple mm. It looks a bit high off the shoulders but most of this is going to just be a straight build. Having fun so far.

Used Purple Power to strip my Bandai C-3P0. Super easy and reusable. My Imai Glaug got the same colors. My Bandai repop got the white parts.

DYRL shelf is pretty much done. Might throw a few HMRs and character figures in where there's space, but my focus is on the larger scale stuff. Now to finish the SDFM and Frontier shelves...

Co-author with David Webber on the Starfire series and numerous other works all his own, he has passed away from cancer. Baen Books posted on Facebook about, though I have yet to see any others. Truly sad. I really enjoyed the Starfire books.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Big s replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
As far as Attack on Titan, it was and probably still my favorite anime of this millennium. I don’t think there’s even a close second. But I do have to say that the stuff before discovering that there were other nations was the better part of the show. I still liked it, but there’s a frightening thing about not knowing where your monsters come from. Kinda like with Alien or Predator. Once you find out then it’s not a scary. But unlike a lot of sequels to Alien or Predator, I still really liked the later episodes of Attack on Titan -
I remember it being grey and white, but it’s been a while
