  1. Past hour
  2. Oh yeah. The original Dinobots are peak sexy robot toy.
  3. Yeah; compared to the line art, they didn't even come close with the 17S in some places. The legs look like toothpicks and don't even look like they could have engines in them. The ought to listen to the M7 song Try Again....
  4. Frankly, they need to clean the fridge when it comes to ideas for Star Wars. Aside from Andor and S1 of The Mandalorian, I can't think of anything else good.
  5. Probably working on a new one as we speak...
  6. Ah... leg day, I see. :D
  7. It is mid January and HLJ has Mafex Rogue still listed as a January release… … fingers crossed.
  8. New Lego Zelda set announced: 3 mini figs, 1003 pieces, $129. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/ocarina-of-time-the-final-battle-77093
  9. Today
  10. Love me some Rachael!
  11. Super cool! Gotta love the classics.
  12. Agreed. I'll wait for the real trailer. AI is nice to see things quick, may give you ideas on a different direction. But for now, I'll stick to creative human's being involved.
  13. I like it, it's pretty good for what it is. It's not perfect but considering the price difference between a 3rd party/Masterpiece and this, the wallet can rest a little easy. I'd rather spend the big bucks on Macross anyways. It's weird, I like the clean cartoon look on Transformers over the detailed kibble that the Generations/Legacy line had, but prefer the opposite for Macross toys.
  14. Grab your board, and turn this ish around:
  15. Even so, blaming the president of the studio for a lack of leadership on the part of the lead producer, writer(s), and director(s) is a bit like blaming the CEO of a restaurant for a line cook getting your order wrong or blaming "Can you hear me now?" guy for a cell phone network outage. 🙃 Kathleen Kennedy was just a convenient blame figure for the fandom's culture warriors because she was a woman in authority and they're sexist AF, and because her position as the studio's president made her highly visible as the company's de facto head cheerleader responsible for all manner of promotional work. Give it time. Those reserves of goodwill will only last so long... especially if he continues trying to turn Star Wars into Star Wars: a Clone Wars Story. The man genuinely cannot let go of a 20 year old cartoon and he's rapidly running out of ideas. If Ahsoka is anything, it's a desperate plea for help and a sign that the well is running dry.
  16. Haha. So true! Sit back and watch the implosions. I don't see Dave being blamed as he's generated too much good to the fandom. But I'm sure there are some unfortunate writers that will be dragged through the coals.
  17. 14 in so far. Will we hit the MOQ to proceed in time?
  18. Well, today was a productive day. 😁 Kitbashing random decals to enhance detail is my favorite part of this process, and the most creatively fulfilling. I look for shapes and colors that complement the topography of the model, and apply the waterslides wherever it seems appropriate. Sometimes I find decals that suit the model so well, you'd think they were designed for it! In this particular case, I'm trying to match the decals I used on the Biopsycher a couple years ago: However, trying to source more of the Bandai decal sheets I'd used in 2023 has suddenly become prohibitively expensive, as they now command at least TEN times what they'd cost only a couple years ago...! Frankly, I'd rather just make do with whatever I have left over from those days. The secondary market is nuts, man. 😒 ...or even a completed F-14, with little assembly required...? 😎 Who doesn't love the Tomcat? 😍
  19. And, done (at least for now). Greebles and gear are added, made a few more tweaks to the nose to round it out a bit, and I think I'm good. Didn't add the Walkure logos because I'm not planning to use it as their personal shuttle, just generic background, but easy enough to add if it ever comes to that. I think I will circle back at some point to cut in the rear hatch and interior details, but it's not necessary for what I'm working on at the moment, and I this is pretty close for the moment. I know, it's not an exciting model, but I'm happy with how it came out and how quickly I could get it put together. I want to try it in a rendered environment hopefully this weekend, but we'll see how things go. Upwards and onwards!
  20. You take old kits @pengbuzz, and lift them up to a whole new level!
  21. She may not have been heavily involved creatively but at least some of the mess was caused by not enough control from the top in regards to the sequel trilogy. Normally it is too much control but in this case they had two directors purposely contradicting each other.
  22. Five to ten years? More like five to ten months... ...and, if we include third-party seekers, a new mold gets rolled out every five to ten weeks. 😅
  23. Unless the announcement has been changed there are no planned changes to RotR. Other areas of the land will receive a slight naming change and OT characters will be walking around. I do hope that Rise of the Resistance is rebranded to Rise of the Rebellion one day. As for this coming to DW, I just saw Mando and Grogu walking around the Hollywood Studios Star Wars land and they were only originally announced for Disney Land as well. This is something Disney can't afford to not have at their biggest park.
  24. This mold is geared for fans of the Uber toon look as opposed to the greebled look espoused by Generations/Legacy. Ultimately, if it doesn't appeal, pass on it, as they'll undoubtedly roll out a new mold in 5-10 years.
