What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0

Mechanical Marie started and I liked it. - Today

That usually goes the other way. I often see an uncolored prototype and it usually will look far more impressive once all the colors are added to it. This thing in the other hand just gets uglier and uglier
-
These line of VFs actually look worse in color compared to when they were still in grey mold. I remember thinking this of the base 1J, and now this Tomahawk armored 1J. It's as if the color magnifies all the ugly detailing even more.

I use acrylic nesting shelves I found on Amazon to elevate my homies in the back. Here's where I shifted around to fit Daitarn 3. Moved my mini Dairugger, Daltanias, and Combattler down with them, too so they could join the era family better. I think I can move Dai Apollon down if I slide Daitarn's accessories back and left. The minis are super convenient and cool - they offer all the transforming and combining gimmicks while taking up so little room.

@Chas That looks great! 😊

Another reissue of an 80's kit. This time a 2000 repop of Imai's Super Dimension Century Orguss M.Lover Maaie from '83. Getting close to finishing this up. Just gotta finish off some work detailing the pilot, do a little weathering and dull coat.

Oh thanks for sharing this. I wasn't aware there was an issue when I got mine, but I suspected something was off about the shoulders because it was much harder to get them to sit flush in the undercarriage in fighter mode. I will go an swap mine around and see if that fixes the transformation issue. Edit: Just did the swap now. Pretty easy and non-damaging to the figure. It definitely helped get everything to sit properly in fighter mode.

The official Takara Atic Gear ATM-09-ST (Melquiya Version) is posted on thier web site! The new line looks quite impressive for their size! especially the detailing on the backpack and the weapons! Not a line I will collect since I'm really happy with the Hi-Metal R line from Bandai! But it's good that there is competition out there, which means even Bandai can't, just release a cheaply done version! 👍🏻

I believe it was mid 80’s like 85 maybe

1:144 L-Gaim, Ashura Temple test fit is not too bad considering it’s an old kit. I guess this A-class heavy Metal Set/boxset came out in 2021. Not sure when the original release was of the individual kit but it’s feels rather dated. Love the box art and can’t wait to get jamming.

AFAIK, there isn't currently a digital edition in circulation.

I wonder if they'll go all the way to VT-1 and VE-1.
-
Yeah, still not good. Looks like the legs are having a tough time holding its weight despite being extra thick
-
They did just announce the armored 1J, those will definitely be coming up sooner than later. I wasn’t expecting the armored one until at least next year, they’re moving along much faster than I expected
-
Still no Max/Miria in either fighter or battroid...
-
Just finished the ep where Michael Rooker was doing some crazy fire dance. Didn’t have that on my punch card. EDIT: Just caught up, damn. . .

That dark beast really shines in the light
-
Yeesh.. I mean, it's stupid, but I absolutely believe Bandai would cut costs by not making the hinge and missile parts for the legs, since they weren't shown in the animation. "If we didn't see it, it didn't exist."

@nightmareB4macrossThanks so much! Yeah I love when my kid has some say in a fun project. They are still young so not much kit building unless it’s one of those 30 MM Bandai kits. @Big s @Thom hahahaha. So true. Not only do I like building these old kits, I also love the esthetics. Give me all these chunky/clunky and strange proportions. That’s part of the charm. Brought this beast out of the basement bench space and into the light of day for a couple photos.

I used to have a ton of the Alternator figures, think the only one I didn't own was Rumble since it was I think a comic con exclusive. If I recall correctly the only one I might have left is either Optimus or Nemesis. Sold all the other ones.- 17720 replies

Worldwide Macross was largely the death of the preorder madness EXCEPT for toys still restricted to Japan (DX VF-1).
