Neither, actually. It's an architectural model of a real high rise condominium in Shibaura -- custom-built to demonstrate the design to construction company executives -- and probably cost over a million yen to produce. It somehow ended up in the possession of a used furniture store in the hills north of Tokyo, and was eventually listed on Yahoo! Japan auctions (where I bought it earlier this month). ☺️ However, since the model wasn't intended for sale (much less transportation across the country), it was not built to last... and what I ended up receiving was badly damaged. 😱 There were hundreds of broken panels rattling around loose in the box... ...and with no internal support structure, the whole building just collapsed in on itself as soon as I removed the plastic wrap. 😭 So now it's just a giant puzzle to reconstruct, without blueprints or instructions to follow. 🤕 Of course! In fact, it came lined with eight individually-wired LED strips that run the full length of the building. I intend to create a seemingly random, disorganized lighting scheme using a variety of tinted yellow, orange, and smoke-tinted gels to vary the color and brightness of each apartment, giving the appearance of a real condominium at night.

Heres the sensors after being modified. Those seams did not line up at all. So I cut out pieces and added detail bits that I thought matched up well.

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!

In reality, there’s really no need for a robot with legs in a combat situation, but they’re cool and have a certain feel of fantasy that draws their attention. That being said , there’s more maneuverable the mecha and smaller sizes would be far more believable. give a low profile vehicle a fast enough turret with a strong enough weapon and even the gundam would be toast, but we like the idea that they can dodge better and and could even close the gap and go melee. - Today

Are you using hobby search? I have only used HLJ for preorders. I’m looking for alternative and was curious about your experience with hobby search.
-
I tacked those on the preorder as well

Omg, totally. And then rips one in half and squishes a dudes head till the eyes pop out . Absolutely brutal 🤘
-
I'll get a few to go with my HMR seeing as the HMR version will probably never be released.
-
The scene were Miria absolutely goes off punching into the head of a power suit and point blank blasts their face off is nuts.
-
Been one of my holy grails for a long time . I definitely got three and a few different versions of the new mech hands as well. A Macross Plus version would be epic, indeed.

It was in just about every battle scene, more stuff than the Regults. They were in the invasion scene and the massacre scene when the ladies attacked and ripped them apart also the capture scene and the ending battle. They were the most prominent male mecha in the movie

Super Macross Mecha Fun Time Discussion Thread!
Sildani replied to Valkyrie Driver's topic in Movies and TV Series
I remember watching the DVDs of Gasaraki many moons ago and in the extras the mechanical designers talked about how they had to justify there being mecha in the story, when on its face a mecha isn't a great weapons platform or military vehicle, as tanks are smaller, cheaper, and much easier to conceal; so they leaned hard into the Mecha's superior mobility and dexterity. They also made them able to be solo-piloted by having a dedicated computer and sensor system handle all the actual motion of the mecha, all the pilot has to do is point the thing in a direction and the mecha will go there adjusting its speed, balance, and gait automatically.
